Wetin person no go hear from these mechanics! What does ABS got to do with engine? Hm! Anyway, we have 5 types of 2.0 406 engine: XU10 J4R, XU10 J2TE (Turbo), EW10 J4 (RFV), EW10 J4 (RFR) & EW10 D. I believe the ECUs of these engines would differ, together with their harness. It would be better to put back exactly the same engine in, unless you want to do conversion. Trying a different engine with another harness and ECU might work, but its the risk worth taking? I leave you to answer that.
And please ABS has nothing to do with the type of engine in that engine bay, unless the harness differs. What type of clown did you open that your bonnet for?

Yes, you can. But if you are not a DIY person, I would recommend a 406 with XU, EW or ES engine for you, since you will be relying on Nigerian mechanics.

ikenna sir, am intending of buyin peugeot 406 2.0 16v Hpi is this engine ok? Need ur advise pls nd secondly can i get 2004 model with this engine? |
