Celebrities / Bill Gate Loose World Second Richest Man To Another Person by abdazzling(m): 10:40pm On Jul 20, 2019
American business magnate, investor, author, philanthropist, and humanitarian Bill Gates has lost his position as the 2nd world richest to Bernard Arnault, the chairman and CEO of LVMH.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that in the latest ranking by Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, Arnault is in second place with Jeff Bezos still retaining first place. Arnault and his families are the majority owners of Christian Dior and LVMH, parent of such brands as Louis Vuitton, Celine, Fendi, Moët, Hennessy, Dom Pérignon, and others.

As LVMH’s share price has soared in 2019, so has Arnault’s worth. It now stands at about $107.6 billion, more than $200 million ahead of Gates, Bloomberg estimates. The report also states that Gates would have been ranked the richest person, even ahead of Bezos if not for his philanthropic giveaways which gave Arnault more room to climb.

The French entrepreneur entered the luxury industry in 1984 when he bought Boussac, a textile empire in the midst of bankruptcy that owned Dior. The famed label by then had deteriorated by licensing its name out to companies producing sub-par products. Arnault set about reviving it, turning it into a vertically integrated company that did its own production, distribution, and marketing.

He went on to buy up other brands, such as Céline, and in 1988 engineered the deal that made him the majority shareholder of LVMH. Forbes currently ranks Dior as the world’s largest fashion brand based on sales, profits, assets, and market value. Meanwhile, LVMH, on the whole, keeps attracting customers around the world, with China being the latest highly profitable frontier.

The prosecutor told the court that the convict broke into Sani’s shop and stole a carton of Vaseline bluseseal, one roll of Cowball powder milk, and one crate of egg all valued N5,000. Ijeoma said that the convict was apprehended and handed over to the police immediately. The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 354 and 287 of the Penal Code.

Portuguese and Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez to marry him.
Portugal’s best-selling newspaper Correio da Manha confirmed the engagement and revealed that the Spanish beauty said ‘Yes’ and has started trying on wedding dresses.
This comes after the couple who have a one-year-old daughter Alana Martina were pictured wearing matching new Cartier rings during their recent romantic dinner in London.
Correio da Manha, referring to Georgina by her nickname Gio, quoted a source as saying: 'Cristiano has already asked Gio to marry him and the wedding will take place, but few people know the details. All that is known at the moment is that Gio has already tried on some wedding dresses.'
Earlier this year Ronaldo's mum called Georgina her future daughter-in-law in a magazine interview about her son’s love life.
He said: 'She is the mother of my grand-daughter. She is a future daughter-in-law. She’s not my daughter-in-law yet. She’s a future daughter-in-law. She’s a very calm person.'

Politics / Ex-pengassan President Wants Labour To Step Up Struggle For Passage Of PIRB by abdazzling(m): 7:53am On Nov 15, 2018
FORMER President of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, Dr Brown Ogbiefun, has urged Organised Labour in the country to step up push for passage of the Petroleum Industry Reform Bill, PIRB, into law.
Ogoni Clean-up: CISLAC Demands Transparency, Involvement Of CSOs
Labour
Ogbeifun who was also an Ex-Manager Industrial Relations, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, as well as former first Deputy President General of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, argued that passage of PIRB would guarantee radical reform in the oil and gas sector in the country
The chattered conciliator and industrial relations expert, spoke at the 5th Triennial Delegates Conference, TDC, of NAPIMS branch of PENGASSAN in Benin city, Edo State in a paper , “ Brief excursion into the oil and gas industry in Nigeria: The impact , challenges and prospects for labour movement”
According to him, the PIRB would address challenges around deregulation, oil subsidy, noting that the bill should make multinational oil companies refine 50 percent of their crude supply in the country.
While also calling for the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas, NLNG, model to reduce government control of the refineries to enhance effectiveness, Ogbeifo said “Nigeria Union of Petroleum Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, and PENGASSAN must drive towards eradicating corruption in the industry. In the most recent past, the unions mounted pressure on the federal government to fulfilling their joint venture counterpart of over $5billion without which many union members would have lost their jobs .
“Consultation and pressure on anti graft agencies to commence investigation on stolen oil funds, Nigeria has been said to produce 32.70 bn barrels of oil valued at N118.49tnn in 47 years. Looking around us, one is at a loss on what the fund has been spent on with decaying infrastructure staring us at the face everywhere. This should worry you. Oil and gas unions are in a vantage position to interrogate how this fund has been applied.
Politics / A’ibom Budgets N670.7bn For 2019 by abdazzling(m): 5:26am On Nov 15, 2018
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has proposed total budgetary outlay of N670.718 billion for the 2019 financial year as against the approved provision of N646.649 billion of 2018.

This comprises Recurrent Expenditure of N97.096 billion, Capital Expenditure of N445.936 billion and Consolidated Revenue Fund Charges of N127.686 billion.
Presenting the proposal on Tuesday to the state House of Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel said the 2019 budget tagged,
“Budget of Industrialisation for Poverty Alleviation” is aimed at reducing dependence on statutory allocation as the main source of revenue to the state.
“This will be pursued by establishing more industries, improving IGR (Internally Generated Revenue) and providing the enabling environment, which will encourage private investments in the state.
The state government will also create employment opportunities and improve the living standard of our people by providing basic infrastructure, enhancing security, developing human capital and continuing to boost services in education and healthcare,” the governor said.
READ ALSO Aviation: SAHCO seeks fresh incentives to grow ground-handling industry
He explained that the 2019 budget is predicated on oil benchmark of $60 per barrel at a production rate of N2.3 million barrels per day, with an estimated exchange rate of N305/US$, in line with the national budget benchmark projections.
As in previous years’ budgets, derivation fund, expected to rake in a total of N250 billion, still leads in sources of recurrent revenue, followed by statutory allocation, which comes a distant second with an estimate of N50 billion; IGR is third with only N43.7 billion while retained revenue from parastatals comes last with only N2.55 million.
On the flip side, the state is expected to spend N374.243 billion as against the approved provision of N289.000 billion for 2018.
The governor, however, lamented that only 60 per cent of the recurrent revenue of the 2018 budget was collected as at the end of the third quarter this year but that operating within the framework of the approved budget and the limits of available resources, “the state government had been able to record remarkable achievements in its industrialisation efforts.
“We have consolidated on the gains of democratic governance and we have given fresh breath to our campaign promises,” he said.
He said new strategies such as expanding the revenue base of the state by eliminating wastage and leakages in expenditure; employing effective public-private partnership strategies to provide much needed industrial and infrastructural development; attracting potential investors and donor agencies to invest in the relevant and key sectors of the state economy and also undertaking robust human capital development, would be adopted in the implementation of the 2019 budget.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Onofiok Luke, while receiving the governor, said that having had the privilege to receive and analyse the budgets of the current administration for three consecutive years, and against his experience in the previous years as chairman of appropriation and finance of the House, he was in an informed position to weigh the indices and draw conclusions on the performance of the budgetary proposals of this government.
“Without sentiments, I wish to state that the fiscal responsibility, which has been brought to bear on our state finances has been such, which has promoted nothing short of our common prosperity and the security of lives and properties of Akwa Ibom people.
“That our people are safer and more secure today is the direct effect of the priority given to prosperity and security in the previous budgets of sustainable development, consolidation and industrialisation. I say this from the position of incontestable knowledge,” Luke said

Nairaland / General / Meet The Powerful Godfather Who Shape Elections.... by abdazzling(m): 2:22pm On Nov 13, 2018
Akpabio:
After forcing his political godfather, Obong Victor Attah into retirement, Senator Godswill Akpabio, fondly called ‘Uncommon Senator’ has been in charge of the political machinery of Akwa Ibom State since his early days as governor in 2007. The 56-year-old lawyer was brought into the political scene of the oil-rich state in 2002 when Victor Attah, the then governor of the state appointed him as the Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Resources.
As the tenure of Attah was elapsing, Akpabio dribbled his way to emerge as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2006 and won the 2007 governorship election in the state. In 2011, he won his second term and completed his tenure in 2015. Singlehandedly, he brought in his successor at the Akwa Ibom State Government House in the person of Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in 2015. But despite their long journey in the slippery political pathway, something went wrong midway and they are no longer on the same page politically.
In August this year, Akpabio, who represents the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district dumped the PDP and resigned as the Minority Leader of the Senate, a position he occupied for 26 months. The rally to welcome him to the APC which was held at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium in his home state was attended by a veritable who’s who of the APC, including the leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhol

Politics / Buhari Declares State Of Emergency On Water And Sanitation. by abdazzling(m): 3:30pm On Nov 08, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari,

Thursday, in Abuja declared a state of emergency on Nigeria’s water supply, sanitation and hygiene sector.
The president said the declaration has become imperative to reduce the high-prevalence of water-borne diseases in different parts of the country, which has caused preventable deaths.
Inaugurating the National Action Plan for Revitalization of Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector at State House Conference Centre, President Buhari directed government at all levels to redouble efforts and work towards meeting the nation’s water supply and sanitation needs.
The president described statistics on open defecation, access to piped water services and sanitation in the country as ”disturbing”, warning that henceforth, Federal Government support to State Governments will be based on their commitment to implement the National WASH Action Plan in their respective States and to end open defecation by 2025.
”Access to piped water services which was 32% in 1990 has declined to 7% in 2015; access to improved sanitation has also decreased from 38% in 1990 to 29% in 2015.
”Our country now ranks No 2 in the global rating on Open Defecation as about 25% of our population are practicing open defecation.
”WASH services at the rural areas are unsustainable as 46% of all water schemes are non-functional, and the share of our spending on WASH sector has been declining from 0.70% of the GDP in 1990 to about 0.27% in 2015 which is far below the 0.70% at the West African regional level,” he said.
The president used the occasion, attended by state governments and development partners, to reiterate that the provision of potable water supply, adequate sanitation and hygiene are primarily the responsibilities of state and local governments.
”However, these are not being given the required attention judging from the high prevalence of water-borne diseases that are being reported in different parts of the country.
”We cannot and will not continue to allow these preventable occurrences to decimate our population,’’ he said.
President Buhari told the gathering that he was aware that Nigeria did not meet the MDG targets for Water Supply and Sanitation that ended in 2015.
”The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets (6.1 & 6.2) for WASH are even more demanding as they require WASH services to be provided in adequate quantity and quality on premises at affordable prices.
”This cannot be achieved if we continue with ‘a business as usual’ approach.
”It is on this premise that I fully endorse the decision taken at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council in April this year to declare ‘a State of Emergency on our WASH Sector’.
”I call on all State Governments to complement this effort by according the sector similar recognition to enable us work together to achieve the SDG targets for WASH by 2030,’’ he said.
At the federal level, the president pledged that his administration would continue to place priority on infrastructure development including those of water supply, sanitation and hygiene services towards ensuring a better life for Nigerians.
According to him, this is being demonstrated through faithful implementation of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) – which is the present administration’s blueprint for infrastructure and economic development.
”From the inception of this administration, we have demonstrated serious commitment to the development of the Water Sector by preserving the Ministry of Water Resources and subsequently approving the 15-year roadmap developed for the sector.
”The transformation being witnessed in the sector since then is highly commendable.
”I have no doubt that the on-going initiatives including the implementation of the Partnership for Expanded Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (PEWASH) in the Ministry will take the water sector to improved performance and supply, thereby meeting the national aspirations as well as the SDGs,” he said.

SEX IS SWEET.!!! -
BUT READ TO THE END
DEAR WOMEN, KINDLY SHARE THIS TO EVERY MAN ON UR LIST TO SHARE THIS TOO
(A MUST READ)

Most downfalls of men are caused by MULTIPLE girlfriends.
Sex is a spiritual encounter I stand to be corrected, not every girl has a good spirit, some are demon, some has
poison in between their legs, some are killers and destiny destroyers, be careful. Worst is a man who can't control his sexual urge. A man who can control
his sexual urge is a man who can live many years on earth.
1. Having many girlfriends does not make you a man. It only makes you a womanizer and a cheat and a boy.
2. A real man has only one woman in his life.
3. For the fact that you are good in bed does not make you a man. A real man is the man who does not run away from his responsibility but faces it squarely.
4. You don't need to sag your trousers and walk round the street before girls will love you. Infact it is only small boys that sag trousers and it is premature little
girls that fall in love with men who sag trousers.
5. Don't use and dump ladies. Remember the law of karma. Whatever you do, you will receive the reward.
6. If you cannot make her your wife, don't make her a mother. If she can't be your wife don't sleep with her.
7. Do not obey your erection at all times. Most times our erections mislead us to the wrong direction. Control your erection. Don't let your erection control you. If you don't you will have few days on earth with much poverty on you. You may insult me.

Celebrities / Ab Dazzling Had Fun With Friends During Methodist Church Youth Convention by abdazzling(m): 10:20pm On Nov 07, 2018
The programme was full of spiritual, social and physical activities . The expositor , The Rev. Dr . Togenu Miikue Yobe , who spoke on the theme of the convention “Church without Walls , ” described the Church as the body of Christ , the people of God and as the bride of Christ . He also showed what Apostle Paul said about the Church in 1Corintians 12: 27 “Now you are the body of Christ , and members individually .” What is the meaning of the Church without wall ? To really understand the meaning of the term “Church without walls , ” we must first look at what it means to be a Church with walls. A Church with walls is one bound by religion and spirit of denominationalism . A Church with walls is a Church that does not want to grow; a Church that does not want to reach out to lost souls.
God never intended us to be people of religion . We are to be people of impact, power and carriers of God’ s glory . Therefore, the Church without walls are people who hunger and thirst for righteousness , a Church that want to reach out to lost souls, help the needy , feed the hungry and comfort the sick. The youths were, therefore, called upon to set themselves apart for God to use them to reach out to perishing souls . The youths were advised to run away from cultism, thuggery , armed robbery and kidnapping as 2019 election approaches . They should not allow desperate politicians to destroy their future by using them as thugs for selfish ambition.
The Diocesan Bishop , Rt . Rev . Dr . Etim U . Ekong, JP , who was the chief officiant during the Eucharistic service , encouraged the youth to remember their Creator in the days of their youths and to rely on God’ s promises in order to overcome the world ( 1 John 5 :4 )
Earlier in his address to the youths , the Diocesan Bishop asked the youths not to sacrifice their greatness on the altar of sin, selfishness, laziness , cultism , eye service , lack of vision , lack of focus and bad association . Rather , they should prepare themselves for the future , by developing the courageous spirit for a successful life and fulfilment of destiny .
Deaconess Antonia Gbarakoro handled the youths on “How to make a godly relationship that will eventually leads to marriage without regret and mistakes”. The Rev . Paul C . Egbo led the teenagers in the talk titled “Purity .” The text was taken from Genesis 39 :1 - 20 . From the life of Joseph , he encouraged the teenagers to always live a life that will bring glory to God. He called on the young ones to live and maintain moral purity . The Diocesan youth president , Rose Lawrence, admonished the youths to always carry Christ into their environment with a sense of responsibility. “Youths should allow honesty and integrity to have full course in their daily living , as honesty is the life blood of community and the doorway of Christian growth while integrity is essential to shedding light to the dark world . ”
The convention , which ended on Sunday with thanksgiving service , was a period of stock taking for the youths . They were charged to go home and be of good behaviour and always ready to serve the Lord. God needs young men and women , whom He will use in building His Church here on earth .”

Current, voltage and resistance are three important concepts in electronics. I didn’t have a clue about these things when I started out. But I could still build fun things, by following the circuit diagrams I found. I just didn’t know what was going on.
When I started learning about basic electricity in school, many pieces started to fall into place. I started understanding some of the explanations from the circuit diagrams I built.
I like to focus on the practical parts of electronics. But learning some theory as you progress is also really useful. So in today’s article you will learn the basics of current, voltage and resistance.
Basic Electricity
When you connect a small light bulb to the positive and the negative side of a battery, you will get a closed circuit where electrons can flow between the terminals and make the lamp shine. Inside the wires of this circuits, you will have electrons flowing.
When I started out in electronics, I misunderstood something. I thought that when a battery got connected, the electrons started from the battery and had to travel all the way through the wire, up to the bulb, before it was lit. But this is not the case.
A wire already has electrons in it. And when you connect a battery and make a closed circuit, they start to move. It’s like a pipe filled with marbles. When you put a marble in on one side, another comes out on the other side right away. You don’t have to wait. It happens momentarily.
The Confusing Direction of Current
The direction of the current is a bit confusing. Does the current flow from the positive to the negative terminal of a circuit? Or the other way around? In some diagrams, you see an arrow from the positive to the negative terminal. In other diagrams, the opposite.
First of all, let me say this: It doesn’t really matter!
When you need to do calculations, all you need to do is to decide on a direction and make your calculations based on that direction. No matter which direction you chose – the results will be the same.
But what is right?
No direction is the “right” direction. Current can flow both ways, depending on if there are positive or negative charge carriers at work. In metals, we have negative charge carriers. Also called electrons. They flow from negative to positive.
So, in a normal electric circuit based on metal, electrons will flow from the
negative terminal to the positive . But, the conventional way of talking about current direction is from positive to negative . ( Learn more on this from Wikipedia )
Current, Voltage and Resistance
In a circuit, current is the flow of electrons. Voltage is the electrical potential difference between two points. Resistance is something that resists the flow of electrons.
If this sounds Greek to you, don’t worry. Think about it this way: If you have water running in a pipe, the amount of water running is the equivalent of the current in an electrical circuit.
Then imagine that the pipe is clogged at some point. And only a little bit of water gets through. The water pressure on one side of the clog will be higher than on the other side. This difference in pressure between the two points is the equivalent to voltage. You always measure voltage as a voltage difference between two points.
The clog itself would be the resistance.
Current is measured in Amp or A
Voltage is measured in Volt or V
Resistance is measured in Ohm or
The relationship between current, voltage and resistance is called Ohm’s Law .
