Paypal has been available in Nigeria for over five years now, but still Nigerians can't receive payments through the platform.


To cut a long frustrating story short, PayPal still doesn't allow Nigerians to receive payments through it's platform. You might have tried getting paid via your Nigerian PayPal or you might have already been paid and when you go to claim your money, you get an email which tells you that the payment has been cancelled.

And when you contact the customer service, they tell you that Nigerians are still not allowed to receive payments through their PayPal account and promise they're working on it, then sign off wimath a thank you.


It's really really frustrating, I can relate, it happened to me, and not just me --- it has happened to a lot of Nigerians, maybe yourself included, and God knows how many millions of dollars Nigerians miss due to this problem.

What's more frustrating is that it seems the company isn't working fast to solve this problem, and if they don't, those millions and millions of dollars will continue ending up in somebody else's pockets, when they should have been in you own very pockets.
But there's still hope in the sky, or at least, we can do something about it. I know you're thinking "what can we do to a payment giant like PayPal".

So, let me tell you what we can do about it. Let's sign a petition.
