The Ntel story
The beginning of the ntel story can be traced to the acquisition of core telecom assets previously owned by Nigeria’s national fixed and mobile operators- NiTel/MTel- by NatCom Development & Investment Ltd. (NatCom) in a liquidation process supervised and approved by Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Enterprises and a court-appointed liquidator. This liquidation process was concluded in May, 2015 with the following NiTel/MTel core assets wholly transferred to NatCom:

Operating Licenses: National carrier, international gateway and mobile.
Spectrum:

Cellular on 900/1800/1900 MHz and shared microwave.
International Connectivity: A share of the SAT-3/WASC/SAFE submarine cable system and full ownership of the Lagos Cable Landing Station.

Local Connectivity:
Metro-fibre ducts and intercity fibre rights of way

Infrastructure: Tower sites, telephone exchanges and satellite earth stations The name ‘ntel’ is the brand name under which NatCom trades. Although trade is currently limited to 3 of Nigeria’s largest commercial cities: Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, there are already plans in motion to expand to more cities and meet our projected coverage of 85% of mobile broadband spending within 3 years and about 95% within 5 years.

On Monday, January 18, 2016, ntel initiated a new beginning in Nigeria’s telecoms industry by making its first on-net test data call in Lagos. This landmark event was followed by the first Voice over LTE (VoLTE) call in Lagos on Thursday, February 25, 2016 achieved in partnership with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Ericsson of Sweden and Sony Mobile of Japan. This new MTN XtraByte service which comes into play effective Monday 8th of August onwards, it will gives eligible MTN subscribers borrow data when they run out of, while browsing, and pay back on their subsequently recharge.

Now while the MTN Xtratime service allows customers to borrow credit and use it as they deem fit (buying data inclusive), the advantage of the MTN XtraByte service is that, it will reduce (eliminate) the process of having to first borrow credit before next using that to buy data.

In addition, customers are require to meet the following requirements which include:
» SIM must be registered

Eligible customers also have advantage of borrow data even if he or she have an existing airtime debt that are not yet pay back and as long as customers are still within there credit limit. Customer can pay back amount of the data borrowed will be deducted once subscriber recharge or receive airtime via Share N Sell or any other means.
Meaning that, to payback XtraByte data borrowed customer must recharge his or her account and the amount of data borrowed is first deducted from the recharge amount and the balance, if any, will then be loaded in his/her main account.

For example if a subscriber owing N220 XtraByte and recharge N500 credit card the N220 owed is first deducted from the recharge, then N280 will be loaded into the subscriber's main account. In cases where the recharge amount is less than the outstanding XtraByte data amount, next recharges will be used to recover whatever is outstanding until the debt is fully recovered.
Note that, a subscriber cannot use any bonus in any of her/his dedicated account(s) to payoff the MTN XtraByte debt incurred.

Finally, customer can check the XtraByte data in this special account, by dialing *606#, and then choos check balance

The assault, which seems to have briefly closed down the site, was completed today Friday, by an obscure gathering with clear binds to the Shi'ite Islamic order. The

"For the sake of God, message to Nigerian Government and State Sponsors of Terrorism (USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar): Boko Haram and ISIS are terrorists.
"They are slaughtering Muslims and pure individuals in light of your filthy cash. Hey Nigeria Government, you murdered a huge number of Muslims and uncommonly Zakzaky's family as well. You are all terrorists. You are all killers, God damn you."

Ibrahim Zakzaky is the pioneer of the Shi'ite Islamic Movement in Nigeria. Taking after an assault on his family unit on the twelfth of December, he was captured by the Nigerian Army.
