The fast rising vocalist talented Nigerian,UK base artiste TimmyAce is here with an online interview where he review his experience, favourites and his plans about music industry. Read interview below: Host: Welcome everyone to the show! Today we have an amazing artist in the building — a rising star making waves in the music scene. Please help me welcome the talented TimmyAce! TimmyAce: Thank you for having me. I’m excited to be here. 1️⃣ Early Beginnings Host: Let’s start from the beginning. TimmyAce, when did you first realize that music was something you wanted to pursue seriously? TimmyAce: I was born in Ifo, Ogun State, into a music family—my dad was a juju singer and a church choir master, so music came naturally to me. From a young age, I loved leading and performing; I was assembly prefect in primary school and often led the hymns. Dagrin was a major influence in my decision to go professional. I loved his energy and authenticity, which inspired me to start writing more actively and freestyling. That’s when I really began to take my craft seriously, and music has been more than a passion ever since. 2️⃣ Musical Influences Host: Every artist has influences that shape their sound. Who are some musicians or genres that inspired your style? TimmyAce: I’ve been inspired by Nigerian legends like Dagrin, 9ice, Timaya, Olamide, Davido, Brymo, Burna Boy, Asa, and Wizkid—each taught me something about storytelling, energy, and connecting with listeners. I also draw from global icons like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Black Eyed Peas, and Adele, which opened me up to blending genres, melodies, and performance styles. My influences are broad, and I take pieces from all of them to create a sound that’s uniquely mine—a mix of Afrobeat, Afrofusion, street energy, and melodic expression. 3️⃣ The Journey Host: The music industry isn’t always easy. What were some challenges you faced while building your career? TimmyAce: The music industry definitely isn’t easy, and I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. Starting out, it was about finding my sound, understanding the business, and getting people to take me seriously. Opportunities were limited, and I had to hustle to get my music heard and build a fanbase from scratch. There were also challenges like moving down the ladder without sponsors, unreliable promoters, scam distributors, and even relationship troubles with friends and family. Through it all, I’ve learned the importance of discipline, persistence, and staying true to my artistry. Every struggle taught me something, helping me grow—not just as an artist, but as a professional who knows how to navigate the industry. Can you define you r music style I’d describe my music as Afrofusion with a high-energy, storytelling edge. It blends infectious Afrobeat rhythms with street-driven rap flows, melodic hooks, and elements of Yoruba culture. My style sits at the intersection of vibe and substance—music that moves both the body and the mindset. It’s about self-expression, reflecting my experiences, hustle, and identity, while creating songs that connect with people locally and globally. 4️⃣ Latest Music / Projects Host: Let’s talk about your latest project. What inspired your recent music, and what message do you want listeners to take from it? TimmyAce: My latest project, Fine Boyz on Timberlands featuring Boy Muller, is all about energy, storytelling, and authenticity. I wanted to make music that not only gets people moving but also connects on a deeper level. My inspiration comes from personal experiences, my Yoruba roots, and the hustle of everyday life—celebrating ambition, identity, and hard work, while recognizing God’s involvement. Through this music, I want listeners to feel confident, inspired, and energized—to relate to the stories, vibe with the rhythms, and take something positive away. Whether it’s an upbeat Afrofusion track or a more introspective record, my goal is always to create songs that resonate beyond just the sound. 5️⃣ Creative Process Host: When you’re creating music, what does your process usually look like? Do you start with lyrics, beats, or melody? TimmyAce: I’m really multidimensional when it comes to creating music—it’s all about self-expression. Sometimes the vibe or beat inspires the song and everything just falls into place. Other times, I start with lyrics and build melodies around them, or a melody comes first and I find the words to match the flow. It depends on the mood and energy of the moment. 6️⃣ Music in the Diaspora Host: How has it been pushing music in the diaspora? TimmyAce: It’s been tough balancing work and music while making a living, but also incredibly rewarding. Pushing music in the diaspora takes persistence and discipline. It’s amazing to see listeners from different parts of the world connect with my music, and that motivates me to keep creating. 7️⃣ Location & Integration Host: Where are you based, and have you integrated into the local scene? TimmyAce: I’m based in Wales, United Kingdom, and over time I’ve really integrated into the local music scene while staying true to my Nigerian roots. I’ve been fortunate to perform at the Black Welsh Music Festival, Afroplug Festival, Immersed Festival, and Togetherland by Sound Progression in Cardiff. These experiences show how I’ve been embraced locally, and living here has made me intentional about blending my diaspora experience with my Afrobeat and Afrofusion sound. 8️⃣ Fans & Support Host: Your fans play a huge role in your journey. What would you like to say to the people supporting your music? TimmyAce: I just want to say a big thank you to everyone supporting my music. My fans are the reason I keep creating and pushing myself every day. Your energy, love, and feedback inspire me to keep leveling up and delivering music that connects. I appreciate every stream, share, comment, and message—it all means the world. Love you, Acers! 9️⃣ Future Plans Host: What’s next for TimmyAce? Any upcoming songs, collaborations, or performances we should look forward to? TimmyAce: I’ve got a new song, Fly Baby, coming up next, and I’m looking forward to dropping my sophomore EP, Happy Hour Volume One. It will feature high-energy Afrofusion bangers alongside tracks with a deeper, introspective side. I’m also planning live performances to connect with fans and bring the music to the streets and stages. There’s a lot in store, and I want everyone to stay tuned—it’s going to be an exciting ride! Host: Have you participated in African events? TimmyAce: Yes, I’ve had the honour of performing at several African events across the UK. I’ve also opened for artists like Fola, Fido, Phyno, and Hotkeed at different shows, which has been a great experience and a big part of my growth as a performer. 🔥 Quick Fire Round Host: Let’s do a quick round! Favorite studio snack? Biscuit Dream collaboration? Big 3: Olamide, BnXN, Asake, Brymo, Ajebo Hustlers… I love a lot of artists, honestly. One word that describes your music?
