Religion is a very emotional subject that does not follow a rational social formulae.
There is nowhere in the world where two major religions are evenly spread without resultant religious clashes and break down of social fabric..
There must always be a dominant religion to create a semblance of social stability, it is the secularity of the state that will ensure that the dominant does not oppress the minority.
