ComputersSolution To Battery Charging Problems (series 1) by Abim010(op): 4:00pm On Jun 02, 2015
Thanks to "Laptop Repair 101" that made it possible.

In this post I explain how to troubleshoot battery charging problems. I will discuss most common failure examples and
suggest some troubleshooting steps.

Example 1.
Laptop shuts off when AC adapter unplugged.

When you move the cursor arrow over the battery icon while the laptop is connected to AC adapter, it show the remaining
charge and says “charging”.
The power meter utility (if available) also shows that battery is connected and charging.
You can check to see pictures of the above example below.

But… as soon as you unplug the AC adapter, the laptop shuts off completely.

Possible problems:

1. The battery not seated correctly.
Solution:Try reconnecting it.

2. The battery contacts got dirty or oxidized and it’s not making good connection with the motherboard.
Solution:Apply some electronic contact cleaner on the contacts.

3. If reconnecting the battery or applying contact cleaner to the battery doesn’t help , most likely the battery is bad
and has to be replaced.

4. If you replaced the battery but the problem still exists, this is motherboard related failure. Apparently the charging
circuit on the motherboard failed. In this case the whole motherboard has to be replaced (or repaired on the component level).

ComputersSolution To Laptop Making Noise While Running. by Abim010(op): 2:54pm On May 28, 2015
Thanks to "Laptop Repair 101" that made it possible.

The laptop turns on and everything works fine, except it makes some constant weird grinding or rattling noise.

Possible problem:
In most cases this noise is coming from the cooling fan or hard drive. Take a closer look at the cooling fan.

If the fan spins/works fine but the the laptop still makes noise, probably it’s coming from the hard drive. Back up all personal data as soon
as possible and replace the hard drive because the hard drive will soon pack up (that is stop working),and you will lose your personal data.

Also, you can remove the hard drive and start the laptop. If the laptop still makes noise, most likely it’s a bad fan and you will have
to replace it with a new/working one.

You are welcome
PhonesWhat Are The Different Types Of Locks In Mobile Phones - See More At: Http://www by Abim010(op): 11:22am On May 19, 2015
You should know the different types of locks with which your mobile phone may get locked.
So, if it gets locked, you will have to get it unlocked for obvious reasons.
There are typically 2 types of locks that can be in a mobile phone. Or simply put, a person’s cell phone can get locked by 2 ways.

Security Lock:

A security code is for the safety and security of your mobile phone. If you activate it in the security settings, the phone will ask it while booting it every time or when you lock the keypad and want to unlock the keypad.

The default security codes of major brands of cell phones are as follows:
Samsung: 0000 / 00 00 00 / 00 00 00 00
Nokia: 12345
All other brands of cell phones: 0000 / 1234
Chinese brands: 1122 / 0000 / 1234 / 4321
So it is advisable to change the security code for safety. So if you change the security code, you should never forget it. If you forget and put the wrong security code, the handset will not accept it. So if you forget it and are unable to put the right code, your phone will be considered as locked. You will have to get it unlocked by special software.

Sim Lock:
In this type of lock, the mobile phone accepts only one sim card and rejects all other sim cards. It may display the message ‘SIM Card Not Accepted’ or ‘Invalid SIM Card when a different SIM card is inserted.
To open these locks, a special software or dongle is required. There are different methods and various softwares available in the market to open locks in iphone, blackberry, Sony, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Chinese, etc.
There are also options to open locks in some brands/models through codes. These codes are generated through software by putting the device’s information like model number, IMEI number, etc.

Thanks.
