Hi Everyone,
I'm a graduate of Accounting and currently in the process of applying for my Canada study visa after 2 previous refusals in 2025 and unfortunately my previous program (Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics) got canceled. I'm now looking for suggestion on which course or program i should take for easier PR Pathway, suitable for my profile as an Accounting graduate and to increase my chances of visa approval.
If anyone has been in a similar situation or has advice on good programs of fields to consider, i'd really appreciate your guidance.
Attach below are the programs suggested by the school.

Congratulations. Mojimade: PPR ALERT!!!
Typing this with tears of joy and a heart full of gratitude! This journey has truly tested my patience and faith, but I’m here today to say “GOD DID”!
Here’s my full timeline
1st Application
Submitted: June 3, 2024
Refused: September 9, 2024
Reason: Insufficient funds
(I had already paid my first semester tuition and had over ₦50 million as POF, but the VO still wasn’t convinced)
2nd Application
Submitted: October 18, 2024
Refused: December 2, 2024
Reason: Same as the first….funds again!
3rd Application
This time, I went all in and paid my complete tuition.
Submitted: February 20, 2025
Refused: March 11, 2025
Reason: You guessed it… Insufficient funds again! 🥲 At this point I was honestly tired, but I refused to give up.
4th Application
I decided to try something different, I did GIC for living expenses after paying full tuition.
Submitted: May 10, 2025
Refused: June 20, 2025
Reason: Inconsistent purpose (Apparently, they felt my salary was too small and I might not return to Nigeria)
5th Application (The Breakthrough)
This time, I added land documents to prove my home ties. I didn’t overthink anything, I just submitted and left everything in God’s hands.
Submitted: July 26, 2025
Medical Request: October 14, 2025
PPR: October 22, 2025
Documents Submitted: - Admission Letter - Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) - Letter of Explanation - Tuition receipts - 6 month personal/salary account - Piggyvest statement of account and Reference Letter - GIC Letter of 20,700 CAD (I submitted my application before they increased POF) - USD Domiciliary bank statement to show when and how the GIC was paid - Funds transfer Receipt from the land sale (the money was sent directly to my account) - Deed of Assignment for land ownership - Affidavit of Sponsorship - 6 month payslips - Appointment Letter - Study Leave Approval - Work ID - Birth Certificate - Marriage Certificate - NYSC Letter - CV - Degree certificate and transcript - Pictures of my family - Wedding pictures
My Sponsor’s (Father) Documents - Appointment Letter - Letter of promotion to show career progression - Tax Clearance Certificate - CAC for his business - Storage and Sales License (For his filling station) - Deed of assignment confirming previous ownership before land sale - Deed of transfer confirming land sale
This journey taught me patience, perseverance, and the power of faith. Delay is not denial. Each refusal was God redirecting me to do better and to trust Him more. To everyone still waiting, please don’t give up. Fix what you can, pray, and keep believing. When your time comes, even ten refusals can’t stop your approval. And finally, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone on this forum, your posts, advice, timelines, and encouragement helped me more than words can say. This platform has been such a blessing, I truly appreciate every single one of you and I wish you all the best! |

Hello house, please i need your advice.
My long awaited second study visa application was refused after waiting for 50 days. Application submitted date 16 July, Refusal date 5th September.
while waiting, i already deferred my admission to Jan 2026 intake New LOA submitted through web form.
1st Application~ Was refused because there was a mistake in my my bank statement Ticket.
Second Application~ The issues on the first application was addressed, but yet was refused for another reasons.
Reasons for Second application Refusal~• I have reviewed the application. The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for the applicant (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). Previous refusal noted. Partial tuition payment noted. Proof of funds on file provided. Financial information is not supported with sufficient evidence for the bank statement balances on file. Limited evidence pertaining to the source on stated funds. Bank statement shows lump sum deposits and there is insufficient evidence showing how these savings were accumulated. In the absence of satisfactory documentation showing the source of these funds, I am not satisfied that the applicant has sufficient and available financial resources to pay the tuition fees for the program of studies that they intend to pursue and to pay for living expenses while in Canada. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.
My Mom is my sponsor, she has a Registered Business
Documents submitted~ CAC business Registration, Tax clearance certificate and an affidavit of sponsor/support.
For the lump Sum, she sold some of her property valued 20m and just affidavit for transfer of ownership was submitted.
FOR CONTEXT, I plan to reapply this September when i get receive my PAL for 2026.
Please what can i do differently this time to make the application stronger? Any advice from the house please Help.
Thank You. |
