Peter Okoye of PSquare and Lola Omotayo’s love story is compelling and amazing.
The couple have been in a relationship for over eight years before they finally tied the knot on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

There has been a lot of talk and whispers about their marriage, the family issues and the fact that Lola is by far older than Peter Okoye has been trending.

But why did she decide to marry someone who’s her junior?

Below is Lola Omotayo’s stand on their age difference…
Lola, who was a Business Development Director at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had told the story of how she and Peter met and how the relationship started
“My agency handles some of British American Tobacco brands and P’Square was doing a show for us at one of our events in Enugu. Though I had met Peter a couple of times before then, at the show there was some chemistry.

He asked for my number and I refused giving it to him. I told him ‘if you really want to know me, you have to find my number’. So he took it as a task and found my number and the rest is history.” Lola, said she isn’t disturbed by the age difference.

Her reason:
“Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I’m like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn’t base it on the age factor.

He doesn’t make me feel like he’s younger than me.” Hmmmn, is age really just a number in marriage, especially in Nigeria?

Pastor Addison Adamu is the Founder and Lead Pastor at Freedom House Church International, Atlanta, Georgia. He used to be a Muslim before he got converted to Christianity at the age of 16.

Open Letter To Nigerians..
Dear Sir /Ma,
How are you? I already know the answer to that, I know that living in Nigeria and surviving takes the Grace of God. I just want us to follow these guidelines for us and our families to live in peace and happiness

1) Pray Pray and Pray, Prayer is the Key

2) Spend wisely, we all know its very difficult to save in these times of petrol @145 naira, 3 tomatoes for 200 naira. Buy only what u really need

3) Avoid Conflicts in any form, many people are angry, and frustrated, and are ready to kill at any little provocation, patience is key, ignore as much as possible, its better safe than sorry

4) Our men please control your anger, we know how hard it is to meet up on bills and everything, please don’t take it down on your wife and family, let your home be a place of refuge not a war zone. Don’t Worry we will all smile again.

5) Women! Women! Women! How many times did I call you? Control your mouth! This is not the time to start complaining, and nagging your husband, you too do something for your family, give him your body and soul, no complain of being tired oh! Be a good Mother to your children, and let your family time be fun.

6) Our health is very important, especially in this very hot weather, lets eat healthy too

7) In conclusion, do things that are fun for you, to take your mind of stress.
