The cross is where your ego is nailed so His life can flow." Bible Verse:"...I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me..." Galatians 2:20 (KJV) REFLECTION: Ego Dies So Christ Can Live At the heart of sin lies pride—that ancient whisper that says, “I can do this without God.” But at the heart of the cross is surrender—the crucifixion of self so that Christ may reign. “...If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me...” Luke 9:23 The cross strips you of self-glory, self-dependence, and self-will. It declares that you are not the center of your story—Jesus is. At the cross, pride is buried, and humility is born. “...Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus… He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross...” Philippians 2:5–8 True power is not in asserting your strength but in yielding to Christ’s strength. “...He must increase, but I must decrease...” John 3:30 “...My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness...” 2 Corinthians 12:9 Pride builds walls that separate you from God, but the cross builds altars that draw you closer to Him. Let today be a day of yielding—of crucifying ego, selfish ambition, and the urge to control outcomes. Let the life of Christ rise in you—radiant, victorious, and unshakable. “...God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you...” James 4:6–7 WISDOM NUGGET: Pride cannot live where the cross is truly embraced. CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & REFLECTIVE ANSWERS 1. What area of your life are you still holding onto in pride? Answer: Perhaps it is the need to always be right in arguments, the refusal to forgive because it feels like losing, or the insistence on doing things your own way without seeking God’s counsel. It could also be your unwillingness to admit weakness in your marriage, ministry, finances, or leadership. Pride often hides in the places where we say, “I’ve got this,” instead of, “Lord, help me.” “...Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall...” Proverbs 16:18 2. What would it look like for Christ to fully live through you in that area? Answer: It would mean replacing control with surrender—acknowledging that His strength is perfect in your weakness. It would look like seeking His wisdom before making decisions, confessing your need for Him daily, forgiving those who hurt you, and allowing His Spirit to lead even when it humbles your flesh. It would reflect a life where His glory shines brighter than your ego. “...My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness… for when I am weak, then I am strong....” 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 A CALL TO DECISION Today, the cross stands before you as both a mirror and a doorway. Will you let pride rule another day, or will you lay it down? Bow your heart before God. Whisper this decision: “Lord, I surrender my pride. I crucify my ego. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 8th September 2025 Day 39 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS TURNS TRIALS INTO TESTIMONIES: Turning Your Pain into Proof of God’s Power Bible Verse: "...Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him..." James 1:12 REFLECTION: Pain Processed Through the Cross Becomes Power Life will bring trials—seasons of betrayal, loss, shame, and confusion (John 16:33). But when these trials are laid at the foot of the Cross, they no longer break you—they build you. The Cross does not remove suffering—it redeems it (Romans 8:28). What the enemy designed to destroy you, God repurposes as evidence of His sustaining power. In Christ, no tear is wasted, no pain is pointless (Psalm 56: . The trial you endured becomes the testimony that liberates someone else (2 Corinthians 1:3–5; Genesis 50:20).The Cross is the divine processing center for pain. It purifies your motives (1 Peter 1:6–7), strengthens your faith (James 1:2–4), and shapes your character for eternal glory (2 Corinthians 4:17). Trials passed through the blood of Jesus produce maturity and crown you with victory (1 Peter 5:10). So don’t run from trials—bring them to the Cross. Through it, suffering becomes sacred, and pain becomes power, preparing you for the crown that awaits the faithful (Revelation 2:10; 2 Timothy 4:7– .WISDOM NUGGET: Every cross you carry can become a crown you wear. (2 Timothy 4:7– ![]() CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. What current trial are you facing that needs to be surrendered to the Cross for transformation? (Romans 5:3–5; Philippians 4:6–7) Answer: Trials are meant to shape, not break you. “Tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope” (Romans 5:3–5). When you bring your struggles to God in prayer with thanksgiving, “the peace of God… shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7). 2. How has God already used past trials to form your testimony and strengthen others? (Revelation 12:11; 2 Corinthians 12:9–10) Answer: Your past trials became a testimony that defeats the enemy: “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). God’s grace in your weakness shows His power (2 Corinthians 12:9–10), and that story now strengthens others. CALL TO DECISION: The Cross Turns Trials into Testimonies Today, decide to stop carrying your pain alone. Lay it at the foot of the Cross. That betrayal, that sickness, that delay, that loss—don’t let it become a burden that breaks you. Let it become a bridge that builds you. PRAY THIS: Lord, I thank You that no trial I face is without purpose. Through the cross, You turn my hardships into holy victories. Lord Jesus, I surrender my trials to You. Turn my pain into power, my wounds into wisdom, and my story into a testimony that brings glory to Your name. I choose to embrace the Cross as the place where my suffering becomes my strength. In Jesus name Amen. Will you allow the Cross to redefine your trials today? Your crown is waiting on the other side of your surrender. EXPLORATIVE CUE: Reflect on a difficult season in your life. Write down how the Cross reshaped your perspective, and what testimony you now carry from that experience. May your trials today become tomorrow’s testimonies, in Jesus’ name. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 7th September 2025 Day 38 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS MAKES YOU AN HEIR Bible Verse: "...And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together..." Romans 8:17 REFLECTION: From Orphaned to Heir The cross doesn’t just remove your sin—it rewrites your status. You were once a stranger, far from the promises of God (Ephesians 2:12), alienated and without hope (Colossians 1:21), but through the blood of the cross, you have been adopted into His family (Galatians 4:4–7; Romans 8:15–17). Now, you are not just saved—you are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), bearing the same inheritance of glory, authority, and eternal life (Romans 8:17; 1 Peter 1:3–4). Christ didn’t only die to deliver you; He died to dignify you (Revelation 1:5–6). He brought you into covenant rights, divine access (Hebrews 4:16), and heavenly privileges (John 1:12). This inheritance isn’t only for eternity—it includes peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), power through the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13–14), wisdom for daily living (James 1:5), joy unspeakable (1 Peter 1: , and purpose that aligns with His will (Jeremiah 29:11) here on earth. Your name is now on heaven’s record as a legitimate heir (Luke 10:20). You are no longer a beggar; you are royalty because of the cross (1 Peter 2:9).Don’t live like an outsider when the cross has made you family. Don’t walk in fear when the cross has crowned you with inheritance (2 Timothy 1:7). Instead, walk boldly, knowing that you are chosen, redeemed, and destined to reign with Christ (Revelation 5:10). WISDOM NUGGET: The cross didn’t just rescue you—it crowned you and sealed you by His Spirit. (Revelation 5:10; Ephesians 1:13) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. Are you living with the confidence of a rightful heir or the fear of an outsider? “...Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need...” (Hebrews 4:16) Answer: Many believers still approach God timidly, as though they are strangers to His covenant. But the cross has granted you full access to His throne. To live with the confidence of a rightful heir is to pray boldly, expect answers, and walk daily in the assurance of His love and provision (Romans 8:15–16). 2. What benefits of your inheritance in Christ are you neglecting to claim or walk in? “...In Him we have obtained an inheritance… sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise...” (Ephesians 1:11–14) Answer: Some neglect their inheritance of peace, still living in worry; others forfeit their authority by yielding to fear; and many overlook divine wisdom, joy, and power already made available through Christ. To claim them, you must renew your mind (Romans 12:2), stand on God’s promises, and walk by faith (Galatians 3:26–29). CALL TO DECISION: The cross has already paid the full price for your adoption into God’s royal family. The question is: Will you live like an heir or continue as an outsider? Today, you stand at the threshold of a great inheritance—peace that steadies your heart, power that breaks every chain, wisdom that directs your steps, and eternal life that crowns your soul. But inheritance is not automatic; it must be received, believed, and walked in by the Spirit. Will you step away from fear, shame, and spiritual poverty to embrace your covenant rights in Christ? Will you take your place as a son or daughter at the King’s table? Say yes to the cross. Confess your faith boldly. Begin to live as one who is loved, redeemed, and empowered to reign with Christ. Your journey as an heir begins now—walk in it daily with faith and gratitude. PRAYER: Abba Father, thank You for adopting me into Your family through the cross. I declare that I am no longer a slave to fear but an heir of promise. Help me walk in the fullness of my inheritance with humility, boldness, and gratitude. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Galatians 3:29) EXPLORATIVE CUE: Write a personal declaration of your identity as a co-heir with Christ. What does this inheritance mean to you practically, emotionally, and spiritually? WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 6th September 2025 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Day 37 Topic: THE CROSS BRINGS HEALING Bible Verse: "...But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed..." Isaiah 53:5 REFLECTION: Healing Flows from His Wounds The same cross that redeemed your soul also carries the power to heal your body and restore your mind. Jesus did not suffer in part—He offered His whole self for your complete wholeness. The lashes He received weren’t merely symbolic; they were substitutional—He took your place so you could walk free (Matthew 8:16–17; Isaiah 53:4–5). At Calvary, every form of brokenness—emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual—was met with divine restoration. “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…” (Isaiah 53:4). His blood removes your guilt, but His stripes remove your pain. He bore not only your sins but also your sicknesses, afflictions, traumas, and hidden wounds (1 Peter 2:24). The world runs to pills, prescriptions, and temporary relief, but the believer looks to the Cross—“....for the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed...” (Isaiah 53:5). The Cross is not only an altar of forgiveness; it is a hospital for the hurting. Whether you are battling fear, cancer, grief, depression, or anxiety—healing is available through the finished work of Christ (Psalm 103:2–3; Jeremiah 30:17). Today, do not stop at forgiveness—reach out and receive your healing. The Cross secured both. WISDOM NUGGET: The Cross is a hospital for the broken and hurting. (Psalm 147:3) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. What areas of your life still need to come under the healing power of the Cross? “...For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord…” (Jeremiah 30:17) 2. Do you truly believe that Christ’s suffering purchased not only your salvation but also your healing? “...Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction...” (Mark 5:34) CALL TO DECISION: Will You Receive His Healing Today? The Cross has already paid for more than your forgiveness—it purchased your healing. Every lash Jesus bore carried your pain, your sickness, and your emotional wounds. Yet healing is not automatic; it must be received by faith (Isaiah 53:4–5; 1 Peter 2:24). Will you keep carrying what Christ has already carried for you? Or will you lay it down today—your fear, your affliction, your brokenness—and embrace the wholeness He offers? Decision Moment: If you are sick in body, whisper: “Lord, I receive Your healing stripes today.” If your heart is heavy, declare: “Your Cross is my place of restoration.” If your mind is troubled, proclaim: “By Your wounds, I am made whole.” The Cross brings healing—but only for those who come to it. Will you come now? PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for taking my pain and sickness to the Cross. Today I receive Your healing—spirit, soul, and body. I believe Your stripes are still powerful to restore me completely. Let healing flow through me and testify of Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (3 John 1:2) JOURNALING PROMPT: Describe a time you experienced healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual—through faith in Christ. Then write a declaration of health based on Isaiah 53:5. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 5th September 2025 Day: 36 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS REVEALS THE PRICE OF FREEDOM Bible Verse: "...Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage..." Galatians 5:1 REFLECTION: Freedom Is Not Free Liberty in Christ is a blood-bought reality. While freedom may feel effortless to the recipient, it cost Jesus everything: "...For you were bought with a price..." (1 Corinthians 6:20) The cross was: 1. The full price paid for your freedom (Mark 10:45) 2. The ransom for your soul ( Mark 10:45) 3. The receipt of your redemption (1 Peter 1:18–19) 4. The declaration of your deliverance from darkness into His kingdom (Colossians 1:13–14) When Jesus hung on that cross, He wasn’t just taking your sin—He was tearing down the prison gates of addiction, fear, religion, guilt, poverty, condemnation, sicknesses, and hell: "...Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it..." (Colossians 2:15) Your chains broke when His blood was shed (Revelation 1:5), and seven redemption packages was given to those who believe ( Revelation 5:12). YOUR RESPONSIBILITY * Freedom comes with responsibility. Paul warns: "...Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness..." (Romans 6:18) *. Do not return to performance-driven faith, carnal bondage, or the slavery of pleasing man (Galatians 5:1). *. True freedom is lived when you walk daily in the Spirit: "...Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh..." (Galatians 5:16) *. You are not who you used to be (2 Corinthians 5:17), and you are no longer where you once were (John 8:36). The cross made you free—now live free!. Proclaim the freedom and blessings you have received through faith ( Gal.3:13-14). WISDOM NUGGET: The cross broke your chains; don’t wear them again by choice. — (John 8:36) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. Are there old habits or mindsets trying to pull you back into bondage? "...But now, after you have known God… how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto you desire again to be in bondage?..." Galatians 4:9 Answer: Identify patterns, thoughts, or associations that tempt you to return to what Christ already delivered you from. Freedom requires vigilance and intentional resistance. 2. How are you walking out your freedom in Christ today? "...There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus… For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death..." Romans 8:1–2 Answer: Freedom is not only a status; it is a lifestyle. It is daily choosing to live without condemnation, empowered by the Spirit to reject sin, guilt, and fear. CALL TO DECISION The cross has already paid the price—but will you live as one truly free? Today, choose to: 1. Break every silent agreement with the chains Christ already shattered. 2. Refuse to wear guilt, shame, or fear like old garments. 3. Step boldly into the liberty Jesus purchased with His blood. "...If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed..." John 8:36 Declare today: "I will not return to what Christ rescued me from. The cross paid it all—I choose to walk in that victory!" PRAYER Lord Jesus, thank You for the priceless freedom You secured for me on the cross. I declare I will not return to the chains You broke. Help me stand firm in liberty and live as one truly redeemed. In Jesus’ name, Amen. — (2 Corinthians 3:17) EXPLORATIVE CUE: Write a list of things the cross freed you from. Then write a bold declaration of how you will live in that freedom today. (Colossians 1:13–14) Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 4th September 2025 Day 35 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS MAKES YOU BOLD BEFORE GOD Bible Verse: "...Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need..." Hebrews 4:16 REFLECTION: Boldness by the Blood Before the cross, approaching God was restricted, fearful, and ritualistic. Only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place, and even then, only once a year with the blood of sacrifice (Hebrews 9:7). But the moment Jesus died, that veil tore in two (Matthew 27:51), declaring that the way into God’s presence was now open to all who come by the blood. The cross is your divine invitation to draw near—not with fear, but with faith. You're no longer a stranger or an outsider. You are a beloved child with access to the throne room of heaven (Ephesians 2:18). This access is not based on your performance, perfection, or position—but on the finished work of Jesus. The cross didn't just wipe your record clean; it opened heaven's door. Come boldly. Speak freely. Ask confidently. The cross made it possible. WISDOM NUGGET: The cross didn’t just forgive—it gave you access. (Ephesians 3:12) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. Are you still approaching God like a beggar instead of a beloved child? Your Answer Should Be: No, for I have received the Spirit of adoption, by which I cry, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15). I am no longer a slave to fear but a son/daughter with access to my Father’s presence. 2. What bold prayers do you need to bring to the throne today, knowing the way has been cleared? Your Answer Should Be: I must present prayers that align with His Word and glorify His name—asking in faith, knowing that whatever I ask in Jesus’ name, He will do (John 14:13–14). A CALL TO DECISION Today, you stand at a crossroad of identity and authority. Will you continue to crawl before the throne as a beggar, or will you rise as a beloved child of God—adopted, accepted, and empowered by His Spirit (Romans 8:15)? The way to the throne has already been cleared through the blood of Jesus. Heaven is not waiting for timid whispers but for bold declarations of faith (John 14:13–14). What prayers have you delayed because you doubted your place at the table? What petitions have you silenced because you felt unworthy to ask? Decide today: To pray as one who belongs, not as one who begs. To bring bold prayers that align with His will and glorify His name. To reject fear and embrace the authority Christ gave you. The throne room is open. The Father is waiting. Will you step in with confidence or keep standing outside with hesitation? PRAYER: From (Hebrews 10:19–22) Father, thank You for the access I now have through the cross of Jesus. I no longer come in fear, but in faith—because I am accepted in the Beloved. Help me to come boldly and receive the mercy and grace I need today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a bold request you’ve been hesitant to bring before God. Then write a declaration of your access through the cross. (Mark 11:24) Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 3rd September 2025 Day 34 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS THE PATH TO RESURRECTION POWER Bible Verse: “...That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death....” Philippians 3:10 REFLECTION: Death Before Power Everyone wants resurrection power, but few are willing to take the road that leads to it. The path to resurrection goes through the Cross. Before glory comes, there must be surrender. Before power comes, there must be the Cross. Paul wanted to know Christ—not just His victory over death, but also His sufferings. This isn’t about suffering for no reason; it’s God’s process. Dying with Christ means letting go of pride, selfish desires, and your own plans (Galatians 2:20). Once you surrender fully, resurrection power steps in (Romans 8:11). The Cross isn’t the end—it’s the starting point. The same Spirit that raised Jesus will raise you into a powerful, victorious life—but only after you surrender yourself completely. WISDOM NUGGET: The bigger the cross you carry, the greater the crown you will receive. — 2 Timothy 2:11–12 CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWER 1. What part of your old self still resists the Cross? The part of you that resists the Cross is where pride, selfishness, or bad habits are still alive. Luke 9:23 says: “…If anyone wants to follow me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me...” Ask yourself honestly: which habits, thoughts, or desires are you not ready to give up? These block the full life of Christ in you. 2. How can you daily embrace the Cross to access resurrection power? Romans 12:1–2 tells you to give your body as living sacrifice and let your mind be renewed. Each day, surrender your will, your comfort, and your plans to God. In this daily act of obedience, God’s resurrection power—freedom from sin, fear, and limitations—can flow in your life. CALL TO ACTION: Today, pick one area of your life where your old self is still strong. Surrender it fully to God—through prayer, confession, or action. Say: “Lord, I deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You. Transform me and bring resurrection life in this area of my life.” Do this every day, and you will see the Cross bring freedom, strength, and victory. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I want more of You—Your power, Your glory, and Your life. Help me to carry my cross and die to myself every day. Let me experience the beauty of Your resurrection as I share in Your sufferings. Let Your power shine through my weakness. In Jesus’ name, Amen. EXPLORATION CUE: Write down one area where you need to “die to self.” Then pray and ask God for resurrection power to take control of that area (Colossians 3:3–4). WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 2nd September 2025 Day 33 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS THE MESSAGE THAT SAVES Bible Verse: “...For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God...”. 1 Corinthians 1:18 REFLECTION: The Cross Still Speaks In every generation, the Cross divides humanity. To the proud, intellectual, and self-reliant, it seems absurd—a defeated man nailed to wood. But to the broken, the hungry, and the humble, the Cross is the open door to eternal life (Romans 1:16). The Cross is not a relic from the past; it’s the ongoing power of God to save anyone who believes. It doesn't only forgive sin—it breaks addictions, heals wounds and sicknesses, delivers from bondage, and restores the soul. What seems foolish to the world is God’s master plan of redemption (1 Corinthians 1:21–24). No church program, philosophy, or religious act can save a soul—only the message of the Cross can. This is why we preach Christ crucified. It’s not just a story; it’s an invitation. It’s not just an event; it’s your escape from destruction (Acts 4:12). Let the Cross be your message, your confidence, and your power. Share it boldly. Live it daily. Believe it deeply. WISDOM NUGGET: The Cross is not just a symbol—it’s salvation in motion. (Galatians 6:14) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: 1. Have you allowed the message of the Cross to fully transform your life? (Romans 6:6–7) Answer: The Cross is not just an event in history—it is the power that breaks the chains of sin and enables new life in Christ. Paul reminds you that the old self was crucified so you no longer live under sin’s control. Ask yourself: are there areas in your life still untouched by the Cross? Do you still struggle with habits, thoughts, or attitudes that contradict God’s will? Action Step: Identify one area of your life where you need Christ’s transformative power today. Pray specifically, surrendering that part of yourself to Him and trusting the Cross to set you free. 2. Who around you needs to hear this life-saving message today? (2 Corinthians 5:20) Answer: God calls us as ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation. There are people in your life who are living without the hope and freedom the Cross provides. Who is in spiritual danger, searching for peace, or struggling under guilt and shame? Action Step: Pray for guidance and courage to share the message of the Cross. It could be through a conversation, a written note, an invitation to church, or simply your lifestyle reflecting Christ’s love. Make a commitment to reach out to at least one person this week. CALL TO DECISION – The Power of the Cross. The Cross is not just history—it’s your lifeline today! Jesus died for you, rose for you, and offers you forgiveness, freedom, and a new beginning. If you’ve never surrendered your life to Him, or if there’s an area of your life still untouched by His power, don’t wait another moment. Pray with me: Lord Jesus, I believe You died for me and rose again. I receive Your forgiveness and surrender my life to You today. Transform me, guide me, and help me live for You. Amen. If you prayed that, rejoice! You are now a new creation. Let the Cross work fully in your life, and boldly share this hope with someone this week. Today is your moment—step into the power of the Cross! PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank You for the message of the Cross. It saved me, changed me, and gave me hope. Help me to never be ashamed of it, and to proclaim it with boldness. Let Your power be seen in my life because of the Cross. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Mark 8:34–38) EXPLORATION CUE: Write about how the message of the Cross changed your life. How can you share this message with someone this week? WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 1st September 2025 Day 32 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS TEACHES LOVE IN ACTION Bible Verse: “....But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us...” Romans 5:8 REFLECTION: Love That Bleeds and Gives Talk is cheap, but the Cross is costly. In a world full of empty promises and shallow emotions, the Cross remains the truest picture of love—sacrificial, selfless, and saving. God didn’t just feel love for us; He proved it in the most unimaginable way—by giving His Son to die for people who didn’t deserve it (1 John 4:9–10). The Cross teaches that real love involves giving, even when it hurts. It means choosing the good of another over your comfort. Jesus didn’t wait for us to become good before loving us—He loved us while we were still sinners. That is love in action (John 15:13). This kind of love isn’t passive; it pursues, forgives, heals, and lays down its rights. The Cross shows you how to love not just with words, but with your life—by embracing sacrifice, patience, and compassion. If you claim to follow the One who hung on the Cross, then your love must also be visible, costly, and unconditional. Love isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it when it comes from the Cross. WISDOM NUGGET: The greatest sermon on love was preached from a Cross. (Ephesians 5:2) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. In what areas of your life are you finding it hard to show sacrificial love? Perhaps in relationships where your efforts are unappreciated. It may be in forgiving those who repeatedly hurt you. Or in giving your time, resources, or energy when you feel drained. 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 reminds you that love is patient, kind, not self-seeking, and it endures all things. 2. Who needs to experience the kind of love that goes beyond words from you today? A family member waiting for your forgiveness. A friend in need of your presence more than your promises. A stranger whose need requires your action, not just your sympathy. James 2:15–17 calls you to express love in deeds, not just in empty words. A CALL TO DECISION Love is more than an emotion—it is a commitment that often requires sacrifice. True love, the kind Christ demonstrated on the Cross, is patient, kind, selfless, and willing to give even when it costs something. The world does not change by words alone but by actions that flow from a heart transformed by God’s love. Today, the call is simple yet profound: Will you choose to love sacrificially? Will you forgive where bitterness wants to reign? Will you give where comfort says “hold back”? Will you act where it would be easier to remain silent? Christ’s love for you was not convenient—it was costly. He laid down His life that you might live. Now He calls you to reflect that same love to a world longing to see it in action. Decide today to let your love move beyond mere words into deeds that heal, restore, and uplift. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write about a time when someone showed you love in action. How can you model that same love to someone this week? (Luke 6:35–36) PRAYER: Lord, Teach Me Love in Action Heavenly Father, I thank You for the love revealed at the Cross—love that bled, gave, and saved me while I was still undeserving. Lord Jesus, teach me to love as You loved: selflessly, sacrificially, and sincerely. Help me forgive where bitterness lingers, give where selfishness resists, and act where silence feels easier. Let my words be few but my love be visible, tangible, and life-changing. Holy Spirit, fill my heart with compassion for those around me—family, friends, and even strangers—so that I may express love not only in words but in deeds that heal, restore, and uplift. Today, I choose to carry the Cross of love into my world. Use me as Your vessel to bring light where there is darkness, hope where there is despair, and kindness where there is hurt. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 31st August 2025 Day 31 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS HEAVEN'S INVITATION TO ALL BIble Verse: “...And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me..." John 12:32 REFLECTION: The Cross Welcomes Everyone The Cross is not selective—it is inclusive. When Jesus was lifted up on that rugged wood, His invitation stretched across generations, tribes, races, and social classes. There are no "outsiders" in the call of the Cross. It is heaven’s open door, wide enough for the worst sinner and deep enough for the most broken heart (Romans 10:13). Jesus didn’t die for a few—He died for all. He was lifted up not just for the churchgoer, but for the prodigal, the addict, the criminal, the skeptic, and the religious. His arms outstretched on the Cross symbolize a divine embrace, welcoming all who will believe (Revelation 22:17). The Cross stands as God's eternal invitation: "Come as you are." But it also promises, "You won't leave the same." It's not an invitation to religion, but to relationship. Not to condemnation, but to transformation (Isaiah 1:18). So whether you feel too far, too filthy, or too flawed, know this: the Cross is calling you. Don’t turn away. Come. It was lifted up for you. WISDOM NUGGET: The arms of the Cross stretch wide enough for the whole world. (2 Peter 3:9) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. What lies have kept you or others from accepting the full invitation of the Cross? “...All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out...” John 6:37 Answer: Many believe the lie that they must be perfect before coming to Christ, thinking their sins are too great to be forgiven. Others are deceived into thinking that God’s love is selective or conditional, reserved for a certain kind of people. Some fear rejection because of past failures, cultural stigmas, or religious misconceptions that portray God as harsh and distant. But Jesus assures that all who come to Him are never cast out—no sin, background, or brokenness disqualifies anyone from the Cross. 2. Who in your life needs to hear that the Cross includes them too? “...How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace…’” Romans 10:14–15 Answer: Think of those in your circle—friends trapped in guilt, family members hardened by disappointments, co-workers searching for meaning, or even those who openly oppose the faith. The Cross includes the rebellious, the skeptic, the morally upright yet lost, and the wounded who feel unworthy. Their inclusion depends on hearing the message, and your willingness to share can be the bridge between their despair and God’s redemption. CALL TO DECISION: Will You Accept the Invitation of the Cross Today? The Cross is not a distant story—it is a present call. Every time you hear its message, you are standing at a crossroad: to come or to turn away. Jesus’ arms remain open, but the choice is yours. Will you keep carrying the weight of guilt, fear, and self-effort? Or will you lay them down at the foot of the Cross where mercy flows freely? The door is open now—tomorrow is not promised (2 Corinthians 6:2). Decide today to step into the embrace of Christ. Say yes to His forgiveness, yes to His lordship, yes to the life that begins when you surrender. Pray: Lord Jesus, I come as I am. I surrender my life to You. I believe You died for me and rose again. From today, I accept Your invitation and choose to follow You in Jesus name. Amen. If you have made this decision, rejoice—heaven rejoices with you (Luke 15:7). Now begin to walk in this new life by connecting with His Word, His Spirit, and a community of faith. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write about the moment you felt the pull of Jesus drawing you. Who are you praying will accept the invitation next? (Acts 16:31) Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 30th August 2025 Day 30 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic : THE CROSS INITIATES A NEW COVENANT Bible Verse: “...For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance…” Hebrews 9:15 The cross was not just an act of mercy—it was the seal of a new covenant between God and man. “...This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people...” Jeremiah 31:33. Under the old covenant, access to God was limited—only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place, and that just once a year with the blood of animals (Hebrews 9:7). Sacrifices had to be repeated endlessly, for “...it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins...” (Hebrews 10:4). Guilt remained, and the conscience was never fully cleansed (Hebrews 9:9). But through the cross, “...Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many...” (Hebrews 9:28) and became the mediator of a better covenant (Hebrews 8:6). His blood didn't just cover sin—it removed it: “...Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!...” (John 1:29). His death didn't just change history—it changed the terms of your relationship with God. “...There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus...” (Romans 8:1). No more fear of judgment. No more striving to earn righteousness, for “...by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy...” (Hebrews 10:14). Now we approach God not as slaves under the law, but as sons and daughters under grace (Galatians 4:4–7). This covenant is not a contract that can be broken—it is a promise sealed in the blood of Jesus: “...This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you...” (Luke 22:20). WISDOM NUGGET: The cross didn’t cancel the law—it fulfilled and replaced it with grace. HEART SEARCHING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. What are some ways you may still be living under the mindset of the old covenant? Answer: By trying to earn God’s favour through personal performance or strict observance of rules rather than trusting in Christ’s finished work. When guilt or fear becomes the motivation for obedience instead of love and gratitude. Relying on repeated rituals, human effort, or sacrifices (e.g., excessive fasting without faith in grace) to feel “worthy” before God. Holding on to a sin-conscious mindset rather than a righteousness-conscious one, always expecting punishment instead of God’s mercy. 2. How can you daily walk in the reality of grace instead of guilt? Answer: Begin each day by affirming your identity in Christ: forgiven, redeemed, and accepted (Romans 8:1). Confess and repent quickly but move forward with faith that Jesus’ sacrifice is enough (1 John 1:9). Replace self-condemning thoughts with the truth of Scripture (Hebrews 10:14–17). Live with gratitude, worship, and service—not to earn God’s love, but because you already have it. 3. In what ways does the new covenant deepen your relationship with God? Answer: It gives direct access to God’s presence without intermediaries (Hebrews 4:16). God’s law is written on your heart, making obedience a delight rather than a burden (Jeremiah 31:33). The Holy Spirit now dwells within you, guiding, convicting, and empowering (John 14:26). Love, not law, becomes the foundation of your relationship—transforming fear into intimacy (1 John 4:18). CALL TO DECISION: Have you been trying to earn what Jesus already paid for? Are you still living like you’re under the old covenant of works and guilt? Accept the invitation of the cross: to live in the freedom, favour, and fullness of the new covenant. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Mediator of a new and better covenant. I receive the grace You died to give me. Help me live not by legalism, but by love, not by fear, but by faith In Jesus name. Amen. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 29th August 2025. Day 29: Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS SHOWS THE DEPTH OF HUMILITY Bible Verse: “…He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain…” — Isaiah 53:3 The cross is the throne of humility. Jesus, the King of Glory, allowed Himself to be spat on, mocked, stripped, and nailed to wood—not because He was weak, but because He was willing: “...The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 Isaiah 53:3 paints the picture of a Saviour who embraced rejection to reach the rejected. Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. On the cross, Jesus made Himself of no reputation: “...Though He was in the very nature of God, He did not hold on to His divine privilege, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and became obedient to death—even death on a cross...”. Philippians 2:7–8: He chose suffering over status, shame over self-defense, and death over disobedience: “...For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despising its shame, and now sits at the right hand of the throne of God...”. Hebrews 12:2: If the Son of God stooped this low for us, we too must bend in surrender, service, and forgiveness. “...If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done for you...”.John 13:14–15: The world exalts pride, but heaven honours humility. The cross is God’s reminder that the way up is always down (James 4:10: “...Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up...” WISDOM NUGGET: If the King stooped that low for you, no humility is too low for Him. HEART-SEARCHING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. In what areas of life is pride still holding you back? Pride often hides in subtle places—your unwillingness to apologize, your desire to always be right, or your fear of appearing weak. It can hold you back in marriage, friendships, leadership, or ministry by making you resistant to correction and hard to approach. James 4:6 reminds you, “....God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble...” Recognizing these areas is the first step toward surrender. 2. How does meditating on Christ’s humility at the cross change your attitude toward others? Meditating on the cross reminds you that Jesus, though sinless, bore shame and pain to reconcile us to God. This vision softens your heart, helping you forgive faster, serve with less complaint, and honour even those who seem undeserving. Philippians 2:5–8 teaches you to have the same mind that was in Christ, who humbled Himself even to death on a cross. 3. What specific act of humility can you practice this week in honour of the cross? You can choose to lower yourself in service—apologize where you’ve been defensive, listen without interrupting, serve without seeking recognition, or forgive without demanding repayment. John 13:14–15 reminds you “...If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet...” CALL TO DECISION: Is there pride in your life that hinders your walk with Christ? Are there people you struggle to serve or forgive because of ego? Let the humility of the cross break your self-centeredness and transform your heart. Follow Christ by bowing low—just like He did. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, Your cross reveals the beauty of humility. Break my pride and teach me to walk in Your footsteps—gentle, lowly, and full of love. May I never see any act of service as beneath me. In Jesus name. Amen. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY 28th August, 2025 Day 28: Topic: THE CROSS IS THE ANCHOR IN THE STORM Bible Verse: “...We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure...” Hebrews 6:19 Storms do not send invitations—they arrive suddenly: a financial setback, a health crisis, betrayal from a trusted friend, or the pain of losing someone dear. In those moments, the world feels like it is spinning out of control. Yet, the cross does not move. At Calvary, Jesus anchored your future in His finished work. “...God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble...” (Psalm 46:1). He didn’t wait for your best day to die for you; He chose your worst moment, nailing your sins to the cross and securing your strength through His sacrifice. Hebrews 6:19 calls this hope “...an anchor for the soul...” An anchor doesn’t stop the storm, but it stops you from being carried away by it. “...When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you” (Isaiah 43:2). So when your emotions are raging, when relationships fail, when nothing makes sense—hold fast to the cross. “...Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand...” (Isaiah 41:10). The cross is your proof that Jesus is near. His love is unshakable, His peace is still your portion, and His power will see you through. “...Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you..” (1 Peter 5:7). WISDOM NUGGET: The storm may rage, but the cross will not move. Call to Decision: Have you placed your full trust in Jesus, the One who anchors your soul? The cross is not a distant symbol—it’s your lifeline. If you’ve drifted or never surrendered, now is the time. Come to Jesus. Say “yes” to the anchor that never fails. JOURNALING PROMPTS 1. Reflect on a Recent Storm: Think about a recent challenge or trial that shook your confidence or peace. What emotions did you experience during that period? How did it affect your faith, and what lessons are you drawing from it today? 2. Anchor of the Cross: Write about a time when the message of the cross—its hope, sacrifice, and victory—helped you stay firm in the midst of turbulence. How did that moment reshape your perspective? 3. Trusting God’s Unshakable Love: Identify specific areas of your life where fear, doubt, or worry still creeps in. What would it look like to release them into God’s hands today? What steps can you take to rest more fully in His unchanging love? PRAYER: Lord Jesus, You are my Anchor in every storm. When life shakes me, let the cross steady me. Help me to trust Your love when I don’t understand Your plan. I surrender my fears, doubts, and burdens to You. Amen. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 27th August 2025 Day 27 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS OPENS THE VEIL Bible Verse: "...And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;..." Matthew 27:51 REFLECTION: From Separation to Access Under the Old Covenant, a heavy veil hung in the temple, keeping mankind from the Most Holy Place—the very center of God’s presence (Exodus 26:33). Only the high priest could pass beyond that curtain once a year, and never without the blood of sacrifice (Leviticus 16:2, 34). But everything changed at Calvary. “...And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom...” (Matthew 27:51). This was no human act—God Himself tore it, declaring that through the death of Jesus Christ, the barrier that separated humanity from Him was removed forever. Now, because of His blood, we have “boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19–22). You no longer need a high priest to stand in for you, no ritual to qualify you, no status to earn your way in. The cross opened heaven’s door wide—inviting you to dwell, not just visit, in the presence of God (Ephesians 2:18; John 14:6). The cross did not only deal with your past; it unlocked your future. It gave you unrestricted access to the voice, the favour, and the fellowship of your Father. "...By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God..." Rom.5: 2 WISDOM NUGGET: The cross transformed the unreachable into the accessible, the distant into the intimate. (Ephesians 2:18-19) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. Are you fully using the access the cross has given you? Many still live as if the veil is intact—praying timidly, worshiping from a distance. God invites you to come boldly (Hebrews 4:16), not occasionally, but continually. 2. What veils still hinder your intimacy with God? Guilt, shame, ignorance, or unconfessed sin can act like shadows of the old curtain. But remember: “...If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness...” (1 John 1:9). PRAYER: Father, thank You for tearing the veil that kept me out. Help me never take for granted the access I now have through Jesus. Draw me closer into Your presence. I come boldly—not by my merit, but by the blood of the cross. Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Reflect on how your prayer life would change if you truly believed you had 24/7 access to God’s presence. Write down one step you’ll take today to dwell more consciously in His presence. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 26th August 2025 Day 26 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS THE CENTRE OF TRUE DISCIPLESHIP BIble Verse: "...And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple..." Luke 14:27 REFLECTION: No Discipleship Without the Cross Many wear the cross as jewelry, but few bear it as a lifestyle. True discipleship is not an invitation to comfort—it is a call to surrender. The cross is not for decoration; it is for transformation. It is the visible declaration that your life is no longer your own but fully yielded to Christ. Jesus said plainly: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). To carry your cross is to die daily—to pride, unforgiveness, selfish ambition, and the lure of convenience. It is choosing God’s will over your own, even when it costs you everything. Discipleship without the cross is imitation, not transformation. The cross is the place where: Your flesh is crucified (Galatians 2:20). Your will is surrendered (Luke 22:42), and your spirit comes alive with resurrection power (Romans 6:6– .It is not a burden to bear; it is the bridge to eternal glory. WISDOM NUGGET: There is no crown without the cross. Every glory has a price, and the cross is the doorway to eternal reward. CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. What personal "cross" are you resisting in your walk with Christ? Perhaps it is forgiving someone who hurt you, letting go of an unhealthy attachment, or stepping into an assignment that stretches your faith. The cross is often the very thing your flesh resists the most—but your spirit needs the most. 2. Are you truly following Jesus—or just admiring Him from a distance? True followers deny themselves, embrace His will, and walk where He leads—even if the path is narrow and costly (Matthew 7:14). Admiration does not save; surrender does. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, teach me what it means to carry my cross daily. Help me surrender my pride, my plans, and my fears. Let me walk in obedience, even when the road is narrow. I choose to follow You, no matter the cost. Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a list of areas where you find it hard to die to self. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you surrender each one as part of your discipleship journey. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 25th August 2025 Day 25 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS BRINGS REST FOR THE SOUL BIble Verse: "...Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest..." Matthew 11:28 REFLECTION: Rest in the Finished Work In a world that glorifies hustle and demands performance, Jesus offers something radically different—rest. Not just physical rest, but rest for your soul—a deep, abiding peace that flows from knowing the work is finished. “...Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest...” Matthew 11:28–30 The cross is God's invitation to lay down your self-effort, guilt, anxiety, and burdens. You no longer need to strive to earn love, forgiveness, or worth. “...It is finished...” John 19:30 At the cross, Jesus carried it all. His voice still calls today: “Come to Me”—not to religion, not to routine, but to a relationship that refreshes. “...Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you...” 1 Peter 5:7 The cross becomes your pillow of peace in the storms of life. It is where fear dies, pressure lifts, and grace begins. This rest isn’t temporary—it’s eternal. “...There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his...” Hebrews 4:9–10 When you truly believe in the finished work of Jesus, your soul finds what no sleep, success, or possession can give. “...Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee...” Isaiah 26: WISDOM NUGGET: The cross gives the rest no pillow can offer. CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1. What burdens are you still trying to carry alone instead of leaving at the cross? Reflect: Are you still striving to fix what only Christ can redeem? 2. How can you practice soul rest in your daily walk with Jesus? Answer: By trusting His finished work daily, meditating on His promises, and surrendering every anxious thought to His care. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I lay down every heavy load—every fear, failure, and frustration. Thank You for the rest Your cross provides. Teach me to live from that place of peace. In Your name I rest, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a list of the things weighing on your heart. Beside each one, write: "Jesus carried this at the cross." Then write a short prayer of surrender. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 23rd August 2025 Day 23 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS MAKES THE WEAK STRONG Bible verse: “...And he said unto me, sààqq is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...” 2 Corinthians 12:9 REFLECTION: Strength in Surrender The cross does not celebrate human might—it magnifies God’s power through human surrender. In a world obsessed with self-reliance, the message of the cross turns the system upside down: true strength is found when you stop striving to stand alone and start depending on Christ. Paul, a mighty apostle, once pleaded for deliverance from a persistent weakness. But God’s response was profound: “...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...” (2 Corinthians 12:9). The weakness remained, yet grace became his strength. It did not merely comfort him—it empowered him to continue his mission with supernatural resilience. Your weaknesses are not disqualifiers; they are divine doorways for God’s strength to flow. Isaiah 40:29–31 reminds you that God “giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” And through Christ, “I can do all things…because He strengthens me...” (Philippians 4:13). When you stop pretending to be strong and humbly rest in Christ’s strength, the impossible becomes possible. The cross is not the place where the strong stand proud—it is where the weak bow low and rise carried by divine power. WISDOM NUGGET: When you lean on the cross, you don’t go in search of strength—strength comes in search of you: (Isaiah 40:29–31; Philippians 4:13) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS & SOLUTIONS 1. Where in your life are you still trying to prove your own strength instead of surrendering? Solution: Identify one area where pride or self-reliance rules. Bring it before God in prayer. Declare, “Lord, I cannot carry this in my strength; I yield it to You.” Then, watch Him strengthen you where you once struggled. 2. How can your weakness become a testimony of God’s power? Solution: Share your testimony—not after you’ve “arrived,” but even in your ongoing struggle. Let others see how God’s grace sustains you daily. Paul boasted in his weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:10) because each one pointed people to God’s unfailing strength. PRAYER: Lord, I surrender my weaknesses at the foot of the cross. Let Your strength rest upon me. I no longer rely on my ability, but on Your abundant grace. Use even my brokenness for Your glory in Jesus name. Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write down one area of weakness where you feel inadequate. Now write a declaration of how God's grace will sustain and strengthen you in that very area. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 22nd August 2025 Day 22 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS SILENCES THE DEVIL'S ACCUSATIONS Bible Verse: “...for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”. Revelation 12:10–11 REFLECTION: Satan Accuses, But the Blood Defends The devil is relentless in his mission to remind you of your failures (Revelation 12:10). Day and night, he whispers lies, guilt, and shame. He wants you to believe you’re unworthy, unloved, and unforgiven. But his accusations crumble at the foot of the cross (Colossians 2:14-15). The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any sin in your past (1 John 1:7). It doesn’t just forgive—it declares you righteous (Romans 5:9). When the enemy brings up your record, heaven replies with one word: “Cleansed” (Hebrews 10:17). The courtroom of heaven no longer holds your sins as evidence; “Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies” (Romans 8:33-34). The Judge has already ruled in your favour—because of the cross. You overcome not by arguing with the devil, but by standing in the truth of the blood and boldly declaring what Christ has done (Revelation 12:11). The cross is your shield and your testimony. You don’t need to be perfect—you just need to be covered (Ephesians 1:7). WISDOM NUGGET: When Satan reminds you of your past, point him to the cross: ( Romans 8:33–34; Hebrews 12:24) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What lies or accusations from the enemy have you been believing? Solution: Stop agreeing with the enemy’s voice and start agreeing with God’s Word. Replace every lie with the truth of Scripture: “...There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...” (Romans 8:1). Daily remind yourself: I am forgiven, I am redeemed, and I am justified by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7). 2. How can you start using your testimony to silence the voice of guilt? Solution: Open your mouth and declare what the blood has done for you. Share your testimony—how Christ saved, forgave, and changed you (Revelation 12:11). Each time the enemy accuses you, respond with the cross: “I am cleansed, I am accepted, and I am not defined by my past.” Speaking your testimony reinforces your victory. PRAYER: Jesus, thank You for Your blood that silences every accusation of the enemy. I reject guilt, shame, and condemnation. I choose to stand on the finished work of the cross. Let my life declare the power of Your forgiveness. Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write down a few specific accusations you've struggled with. Then write what the blood of Jesus says in response to each one. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 21st August 2025 Day 21 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS REWRITES YOUR STORY Bible Verse: “...Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new....” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 REFLECTION: You Are Not Who You Used to Be Everyone has a past—but not everyone lives in it. Through the power of the cross, your past is no longer your identity. “...Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new...” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The blood of Jesus doesn’t just edit your story; it rewrites it completely. “...Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us… He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross...” (Colossians 2:14). Your failures, sins, regrets, and shame were not just covered—they were nailed to the cross and buried with Christ. “...We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death… that just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may live a new life...” (Romans 6:4). When you came to the cross, your old nature died. You became a new creation, born again not of flesh, but of the Spirit. “..That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit..” (John 3:6). The world may remember who you were, but heaven recognizes who you are now. “...As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us...” (Psalm 103:12). You're not a cleaned-up version of the old you—you are a completely new person with a divine destiny. So stop living in the reruns of your past. “...Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!...” (Isaiah 43:18–19). You have a fresh page, and God holds the pen. The cross didn’t give you a second chance—it gave you a new life. And that new life is defined not by your record, but by Christ’s righteousness. “...For he made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him...” (2 Corinthians 5:21). WISDOM NUGGET: The cross doesn’t revise your life—it resurrects it. (See also Isaiah 43:18–19; Romans 8:1–2) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Are you still allowing your past to define your present or limit your future? For me. I refuse to allow my past to define my present or limit my future. I surrender every past mistake, failure, and regret to the cross of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Each day, I renew my mind with God’s Word and walk in the freedom He has given me (Romans 12:2). What about you? 2. What new identity and purpose has God given you through the cross? For me, I embrace my new identity and purpose in Christ. Through the cross, I am redeemed, forgiven, and made a new creation, empowered to fulfill God’s purpose for my life (Ephesians 2:10). What about you? PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for rewriting my story through the power of the cross. I receive the new identity You’ve given me. Help me walk in the confidence of who I am in You. Let the shame of the past be forever silenced by the truth of Your redemption. In Jesus' name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a declaration of who you are now in Christ. Let it include where He has brought you from and what He is calling you into. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 20th August 2025 Day 20 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS EMPOWERS YOU TO SAY NO TO SIN Bible Verse: “...Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin...” Romans 6:6 REFLECTION: You Are No Longer a Slave The cross is not only a place of pardon; it is also a place of power. Many believe Jesus died only to forgive sin—and He did—but He also died to break its dominion. “...Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin...” (Romans 6:6–7) Sin once ruled you. It told you what to do, where to go, and who to be. But the cross ended that tyranny. When Christ was crucified, your old sinful nature was crucified with Him. “...For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace...” (Romans 6:14) You’re not just forgiven—you’re freed. You don’t have to obey that urge to lie, that pressure to lust, that cycle of bitterness or pride. You have the authority to say, “No.” Why? Because the power of the cross is greater than the pull of the flesh. “...If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed...” (John 8:36) You are not trying to overcome from a place of defeat—you are enforcing a victory already won. “...But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ...” (1 Corinthians 15:57) The Christian life is not about struggling to become free; it is about living as someone who has already been freed. “....Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage...” (Galatians 5:1) The cross has crushed the shackles of sin. Let that truth sink in: you are no longer a slave—you are a son. “...Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ...” (Galatians 4:7) “...For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father...” (Romans 8:15) Through the cross, Jesus not only forgave your sins but also made you new. “...Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new...” (2 Corinthians 5:17) This is your reality: forgiven, freed, victorious, and adopted into God’s family. WISDOM NUGGET: The power of sin dies where the power of the cross is alive. (Galatians 5:24; Romans 6:14) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Are you living like a free person or like someone still bound by sin? Answer: To live like someone truly free, you must remind yourself daily of what Christ has already done. Freedom is not a feeling; it is a fact sealed by the cross. You must choose to walk in that truth. “....Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free...” (Galatians 5:1) For you and me: Let’s start each day declaring, “...Sin has no dominion over me. I am free in Christ...” 2. What sinful habits do you need to crucify daily by embracing the power of the cross? Answer: Habits don’t die overnight, but they lose power when continually surrendered to the cross. Each day, you crucify the flesh by prayer, fasting, the Word, and obedience to the Spirit. “...And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts...” (Galatians 5:24) For you and me: Whenever temptation comes, instead of trying to fight in our own strength, let’s quickly shift our focus to Christ’s victory and pray, “Lord, I choose Your power over my weakness. Help me walk in Your Spirit.” In recap: For You: Believe and walk as someone already free. For Me: I will practice daily surrender habits and thoughts at the cross. For Both of Us: Depend on the Spirit, not our flesh, for lasting victory. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for breaking the power of sin over my life. I receive Your grace to walk in victory every day. Help me live in the freedom You purchased with Your blood. May the cross remain my strength and banner. In Jesus' name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Reflect on one area of your life where sin used to rule you. Write a declaration of freedom rooted in what Jesus accomplished on the cross. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 19th August 2025 Day 19 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS UNLOCKS SUPERNATURAL GRACE Bible Verse: “...Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound...” Romans 5:20 REFLECTION: The River of Grace Flows from the Cross The cross is more than a symbol of forgiveness—it is the source of supernatural grace. When Jesus laid down His life, He opened the floodgates of heaven’s power and mercy. This supernatural grace flows to us through the riches of God’s mercy revealed in Christ. (Ephesians 2:4– ![]() The cross is more than a symbol of forgiveness—it is the source of supernatural grace. When Jesus laid down His life, He opened the floodgates of heaven's power and mercy. Supernatural grace comes to us through the riches of God's mercy given to us in Christ -- Ephesians 2:4-8 Grace is not merely a covering for sin; it is the divine empowerment to live above sin and to walk in righteousness and godliness—something the carnal nature cannot accomplish. (Titus 2:11–13)" Where sin tried to reign, grace rose higher. Where shame tried to define your identity, grace stepped in with a new name. Every drop of blood that fell from the cross whispered, “More grace.” This grace strengthens you in weakness, lifts you in failure, and empowers you for obedience. You are not meant to live the Christian life by willpower but by grace-power. This grace doesn't just get you to heaven—it sustains you on earth, empowers your calling, and transforms your weaknesses into testimonies. The cross didn’t just settle your debt—it bankrolled your spiritual life. WISDOM NUGGET: The cross is not just about forgiveness—it’s a fountain of enabling grace. (2 Corinthians 12:9) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. In what areas of your life do you need to stop striving and start relying on God’s grace? Solution for You: Surrender the areas where you constantly struggle—whether health, finances, family, or ministry—by praying daily, “Lord, I can’t do this by my strength. Let Your grace be sufficient for me” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Solution for Me: I also must rely on God’s wisdom, not human effort, in guiding and helping you. Instead of striving to provide answers by myself, I trust His Spirit to give words of truth and life through me. 2. How can you become more conscious of living from the finished work of the cross? Solution for You: Remind yourself daily that Christ already paid the full price—sin is forgiven, healing is available, and victory is yours. Begin each day with thanksgiving for what He has done, not anxiety over what you must earn. Solution for Me: I also need to rest in the cross by not leaning on performance, but by pointing back to Christ’s finished work in every answer, showing that the victory is already settled in Him. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank You for the grace that flows from Your cross. Help me not only receive forgiveness but also walk in the power that grace provides. Strengthen me to live a life that pleases You, not by my strength, but through Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write about a time when God’s grace carried you through a situation you couldn’t handle on your own. How did the cross play a role in that season? WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 18th August 2025 Day 18 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS HEAVEN'S PRICE TAG FOR YOU BIble Verse: “...For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s...” 1 Corinthians 6:20 REFLECTION: Your Value Is Calibrated at Calvary In a world that often tries to define worth by appearance, achievements, or possessions, the cross speaks a different truth. You were bought—not with gold or silver—but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:18–19). The Son of God didn’t die for something worthless. He died for you. The cross is heaven’s receipt—a visible token of the immeasurable price God was willing to pay. When shame whispers, "You’re not enough," and failure screams, "You’ll never be more," let the cross declare, "You are worth dying for." No rejection, betrayal, or abuse can devalue you because the blood of Jesus has stamped your identity with eternal significance. You're not cheap, broken, or forgotten. You are chosen, pursued, and dearly loved. WISDOM NUGGET:Look at the cross when you forget your worth. (Isaiah 43:4) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What lies have you believed about your worth? Me: At times, I believed I was only valuable when I achieved or pleased others. You: Perhaps you have also felt unworthy or defined by past failures. Solution: The truth is, our worth is not in achievements or failures, but in Christ who paid the price for us (1 Cor. 6:20). 2. How does the cross help reshape your self-image in God’s eyes? Me: The cross reminds me that I am deeply loved, fully forgiven, and accepted by God. You: For you, the cross reaffirms that you are precious, chosen, and redeemed, no longer defined by the past. Solution: The cross reshapes our self-image by anchoring our identity in Christ’s sacrifice — we are beloved children of God (1 John 3:1). PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for paying the highest price for me. When I doubt my value, let me remember the cost of the cross. Help me walk in dignity, confidence, and gratitude for what You have done. Let my life reflect the honour You have placed on me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a letter to yourself reminding your soul of your value based on what Jesus paid at the cross. Begin with: “Because of the cross, I am…” Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 17th August 2025 Day 17 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS TURNS DEATH INTO LIFE BIble Verse: “...Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live...” John 11:25 REFLECTION: The Resurrection Platform The cross of Christ is not the symbol of a tragic end but of a supernatural beginning. What looked like death on Friday became resurrection on Sunday. The cross didn't bury Jesus—it elevated Him into glory, and through Him, every believer receives access to eternal life. Death—spiritual, emotional, physical—was swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54). Through the cross, dead dreams come alive, lost purpose is restored, and those spiritually lifeless are revived. In Christ, there is no finality in failure and no grave deep enough to silence destiny. Jesus’ words in John 11:25 remind you that He is resurrection. That means the moment you bring your brokenness, your sin, and even your dying hope to the cross, life begins anew. Don’t just see the cross as a place of death—see it as the birthing ground of glory. WISDOM NUGGET: Every ending at the cross is the beginning of something eternal. (2 Corinthians 5:17) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What area of your life feels dead and in need of resurrection? Me: Sometimes my hope feels pressed down by life’s battles, but I trust Jesus to breathe new life into it. You: It may be your dreams, relationships, or faith — surrender it to Christ, and He will raise it again. 2. How can you begin to walk in newness of life through the power of the cross? Me : By daily yielding my heart to Christ, I embrace the cross as my path to freedom and renewal. You: By believing you are no longer bound by your past and choosing to walk boldly in the victory of Christ’s resurrection. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank You for turning death into life. I surrender every dying area of my heart, my dreams, and my walk with You. Resurrect what sin, fear, or failure tried to bury. Let Your cross be my platform for new beginnings. I choose to live in Your resurrection power. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: What has died in your life that God is calling back to life through the power of the cross? WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 16th August 2025 Day 16 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE BEST CROSS TRANSFORMS SUFFERING INTO GLORY Bible Verse:“...For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory...” 2 Corinthians 4:17 REFLECTION: Pain with Purpose The cross of Jesus is living proof that suffering surrendered to God is never wasted. “For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despising its shame” (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus bore betrayal, pain, shame, and death—not because He was powerless, but because through His suffering, salvation would be born for all mankind (Isaiah 53:4–5). As believers, we will encounter trials, setbacks, and wounds that may feel unbearable. Yet, when we fix our eyes on the cross, we are reminded that “our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:17). The cross transforms pain into purpose, and trials into testimonies. Suffering with Christ is not a mark of defeat; it is divine preparation for glory (Romans 8:17). Every tear shed, every lonely night endured, every broken dream laid at the cross is being reshaped by the Master Potter into something beautiful and eternal (1 Peter 5:10). Don’t waste your suffering. Let it draw you nearer to Jesus (James 4: , not further away. Let it soften your heart, not harden it. Let it refine your faith like gold (1 Peter 1:6–7), not define your identity by the pain.WISDOM NUGGET: The cross gives meaning to every tear you’ve shed. (Romans 8:18) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What present hardship are you facing that needs to be surrendered at the cross? Answer:- Me: I choose to surrender every present challenge to Christ, trusting His wisdom above my understanding. You: - You can lay your burden fully at the cross, knowing He cares and will sustain you. 2. How can you view your suffering as a seed for future glory? Answer:- Me: I see my trials as God’s refining fire, producing strength and deeper faith for tomorrow’s victory. You: You can view your suffering as a seed that, when watered with faith, will produce a harvest of glory. PRAYER: Lord, I lay my pain at the foot of the cross. Help me not to run from it but to walk through it with You. Teach me to see beyond the moment into eternity. May every hardship I face birth something glorious in me. Use my tears to water the garden of Your purpose in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Reflect on a season of deep pain in your life. What did God teach you through it? How did the cross help you endure? Have a great weekend filled with joy and peace of mind Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 15th August 2025 Day 15 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS BRINGS DOWN THE WALLS OF DIVISION Bible Verse: “...For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us...” Ephesians 2:14 REFLECTION 1: One Cross, One People Division has always been one of Satan’s strongest weapons—dividing races, cultures, families, churches, and even nations. But the cross of Jesus Christ crushed the wall that separated Jew from Gentile, sinner from grace, the lost from the Father. The blood that flowed at Calvary was not just for one tribe or tongue, it was for all humanity. Whether black or white, rich or poor, male or female, we all stand equal at the foot of the cross (Galatians 3:28). The cross doesn't tolerate division—it destroys it. When Christ was lifted up, the veil in the temple tore from top to bottom. That act didn’t just give access to God—it also gave access to each other. No more walls of pride, ethnicity, tradition, or pain. The cross made us one family. Are there walls in your life—resentment, classism, tribalism, or unforgiveness—that the cross is asking you to bring down? Healing begins when you stop labeling people and start seeing them as brothers and sisters in Christ. WISDOM NUGGET: Where the cross is lifted, unity flows. (John 17:21) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Are there any relationships in your life that are strained due to division or prejudice? Answer:- Me: No—by God’s grace, I strive to walk in peace with all, regardless of differences. You: Yes—there are some relationships that need God’s healing touch. 2. How can you allow the power of the cross to restore unity where you’ve built walls? Answer:- Me: By embracing Christ’s example of forgiveness and humility, I choose reconciliation over pride. You: By letting the love of Christ break down barriers and seeking peace intentionally. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, You died not only to reconcile me to God but also to others. Forgive me for every attitude or word that has caused division. Today, I tear down every wall I’ve built in pride or pain. Make me a bridge, not a barrier. Let Your love flow through me to unite, heal, and restore. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write about a relationship in your life where God is calling you to build a bridge. What practical steps can you take this week to initiate unity? WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 14th August 2025 Day 14 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS CALLS US TO RADICAL FORGIVENESS Bible Verse: “...Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...” Luke 23:34 REFLECTION: Forgiveness in the Fire As Jesus hung on the cross—bleeding, mocked, and unjustly condemned—He didn’t lash out. He interceded: “Father, forgive them.” These weren’t words of weakness; they were declarations of divine strength. The cross wasn’t only about forgiving sin—it was about teaching us how to forgive when it hurts the most. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing wrongdoing. It means releasing your right to revenge and handing over the offender to God. When you withhold forgiveness, you chain yourself to pain. But when you forgive, you experience the same liberation that flowed from Calvary. The cross shows that forgiveness is not a feeling but a decision. You may feel wounded, betrayed, or justified in holding on—but if Jesus could forgive those driving nails through His body, so can you. Today, God is calling you to radical forgiveness—not because they deserve it, but because you were also forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). Someone’s healing may depend on your willingness to let go. WISDOM NUGGET: You can forgive the unforgivable—because Jesus did. (Colossians 3:13) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Who do you need to forgive that has wounded you deeply? Answer: As for me—No one; I’ve chosen to forgive fully, leaving no debt outstanding but love. What about you? 2. What pain are you still holding that the cross is asking you to release? Answer: As for me—None; the cross has freed me from every lingering hurt, and I walk in Christ’s healing. What about you? PRAYER: Father, thank You for forgiving me through the blood of Jesus. Today, I release the pain I’ve carried for too long. Help me to forgive like Christ—freely, fully, and faithfully. Teach me to love even when it hurts. Heal my heart as I obey. In Jesus’ name, Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write the name(s) of those you need to forgive. Pray over each name. Release them by name and write, “I choose to forgive because Christ forgave me.” Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. Christ Leads Assembly Church |
WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 13th August 2025 Day 13 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS DEMONSTRATES OBEDIENCE UNTO DEATH Bible Verse: “...And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross...” Philippians 2:8 REFLECTION: Surrender That Leads to Glory Jesus didn’t stumble onto the cross by accident. He chose it. He obeyed the Father’s will not partially, but fully unto death. The cross reveals the highest form of obedience: a will fully surrendered to God, even when the path leads through suffering. In a world obsessed with self-preservation, the cross teaches self-denial. Obedience is no longer a suggestion—it’s a demand. Jesus didn’t just obey to live; He obeyed to die so we could truly live (John 10:17–18). If Christ obeyed unto death, how much more should we yield our will in daily surrender? True love for God is not measured by convenience but by obedience—even when it costs everything (1 Samuel 15:22). Today, the call is clear: Lay down pride, rebellion, and selective obedience. God is not impressed by outward religion but by inward surrender. Will you carry your cross, or will you continue to carry your excuses? WISDOM NUGGET: The cross is not weakness—it’s willful obedience with eternal results. (Hebrews 5:8–9) Challenging Questions: 1. In what areas of your life are you resisting full obedience to God? Answer: I am learning to surrender my plans fully and trust His timing. What about you? 2. What does carrying your cross daily look like in your current season? Answer: It means denying selfish desires, embracing sacrifice, and following Christ wholeheartedly each day. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for showing me what true obedience looks like. Teach me to lay down my pride and follow You with full surrender. May I never see the cross as shameful, but as glorious obedience. Strengthen my will to obey—even when it's hard. Amen. JOURNALING PROMPT: Write down the areas where you’ve been partially obedient and ask the Holy Spirit to help you fully yield. Reflect on the rewards of obedience beyond the pain. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 12th August 2025 Day 12 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS THE END OF CONDEMNATION Bible Verse:“...There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit...” Romans 8:1 REFLECTION: From Accusation to Acceptance The enemy is relentless in reminding you of your past. He whispers shame, regret, and guilt, hoping you’ll wear them like chains. But the cross silences every voice of accusation with the voice of mercy. When Jesus declared, “It is finished,” He wasn’t just ending His earthly life—He was ending the reign of condemnation for those who believe. At the cross, your worst was laid on Him so His best could be placed on you. You’re no longer a prisoner of your past but a possessor of God’s righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). The blood of Jesus doesn’t just cover your sin—it cancels the charges against you (Colossians 2:14). Don’t live another day under a cloud of guilt when God has offered the light of grace. The cross is your evidence that the case against you has been closed. You are forgiven, loved, and free. WISDOM NUGGET: The voice of the accuser cannot speak louder than the blood. (Hebrews 12:24) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What guilt or shame are you still carrying that Christ already nailed to the cross? Solution: As for me—none. Christ’s sacrifice has set me free, and I now walk in His forgiveness. What about you? 2. Do you truly believe you are no longer condemned in Christ—or are you still listening to the accuser? Solution: Yes, I believe—my identity is secure in Him, and I silence the accuser with God’s Word. What about you? PRAYER Lord Jesus, thank You for ending my condemnation through the power of the cross. I renounce every voice of guilt and shame and embrace the freedom You have given me. Let me walk boldly in the Spirit, knowing I am fully forgiven. Amen. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 11th August 2025 Day 11 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS MAKES PEACE POSSIBLE Bible Verse: “...And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven...”. Colossians 1:20 REFLECTION: From Conflict to Communion We live in a world aching for peace—peace in families, communities, and within our own souls. But peace cannot be manufactured through politics, money, or mere silence. True peace is the result of reconciliation with God, and that reconciliation only came through the blood of the cross. The cross healed the vertical divide between a holy God and sinful humanity. Once enemies, we are now sons and daughters (Romans 5:10). But it doesn’t stop there—the same cross empowers us to pursue horizontal peace with others. Bitterness, grudges, and division must bow before the power of the cross. When Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you” (John 14:27), He wasn’t offering temporary calm. He was offering Himself. The Prince of Peace secured peace eternally at Calvary. Let the cross quiet the storm within and extend peace outward. WISDOM NUGGET: Peace is not a place—it’s a Person met at the cross. (Isaiah 9:6) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Have you truly accepted the peace that comes through Christ’s cross? Yes—embracing the Cross means I rest fully in Christ’s finished work, free from guilt and fear. What about you? 2. Is there anyone you need to reconcile with today because of the peace you’ve received? 2. Yes—true peace compels me to seek reconciliation and extend forgiveness as I have received it. What about you? PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for making peace possible through Your cross. I surrender my inner chaos, my fears, and my broken relationships. Let Your peace rule in my heart and flow through me to others. In Your name I pray, Amen. (Philippians 4:7) JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a prayer of surrender asking God to uproot every source of inner turmoil. Then list any relationships that need healing, and commit them to God’s peace through the cross. Welcome! Blessed week, full of joy and peace of mind. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 10th August 2025 Day 10 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS RESTORES THREE BROKEN IDENTITY Bible Verse: “...But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:...Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy...” 1 Peter 2:9–10 REFLECTION: From Rejection to Royalty Sin does more than separate—it shatters identity. Without Christ, we wander through life trying to define ourselves through culture, achievements, relationships, or failure. But at the cross, the broken mirror of self-image is replaced with God’s truth. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are no longer lost, rejected, or forgotten. The cross gives us these three identities: 1. A new name: “Beloved.” 2. A new status: “Sons and daughters of God.” 3. A new assignment: “To proclaim His praises.” The world may have told you you’re not enough—but the cross says you’re chosen. The devil may have tried to define you by your worst mistake—but the blood of Jesus declares your true identity is now rooted in God’s mercy and purpose. You are not what was done to you or what you did. You are what the cross paid for. WISDOM NUGGET: The cross doesn’t just save you; it defines you. (Galatians 2:20) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. What labels have you carried that contradict your identity in Christ? Solution: Replace false labels with God’s truth from Scripture—confess and believe what He says about you (2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:9). 2. How can you walk boldly today as someone chosen and dearly loved? Solution: Renew your mind daily, pray for boldness, and act in faith as one who is loved and chosen (Romans 12:2; Colossians 3:12). PRAYER: Father, thank You for restoring my true identity through the cross. I refuse to live in shame, guilt, or confusion. I embrace the truth that I am Your child, created for purpose and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Romans 8:15–17) JOURNALING PROMPT: List three truths from 1 Peter 2:9–10 that define who you are in Christ. Write a personal declaration beginning with: “Because of the cross, I am…” Happy Lord’s Day! Wishing you many more to celebrate in peace of mind and wellness. WISDOM DIGEST FOR TODAY Date: 9th August 2025 Day 9 Theme: Victory Through Sacrifice: Unlocking the Power and Purpose of the Cross Topic: THE CROSS IS GOD'S PROOF OF VICTORY Bible Verse: "...When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost..." John 19:30 REFLECTION: In John 19:30, “It is finished” (Greek: Tetelestai) means Jesus fully completed His mission—fulfilling prophecy, paying sin’s debt, defeating Satan’s power, and securing eternal salvation for all who believe. This Means Your Defeat Is Cancelled Again, in John 19:30, the word vinegar refers to something very different from the kitchen vinegar we know today. Let’s break it down: 1. What “vinegar” means in the Bible: In the Greek text, the word is ὄξος (oxos), meaning sour wine. This was a cheap, sour wine diluted with water (known in Latin as posca) that Roman soldiers commonly drank. It was not for luxury—it was the drink of the poor, labourers, and soldiers, slightly alcoholic but sharp and acidic, quenching thirst in hot climates. 2. Context of Jesus receiving vinegar Jesus had earlier refused a drink mixed with gall or myrrh (Matthew 27:34; Mark 15:23) because that mixture acted as a painkiller—and He chose to endure the full suffering of the cross consciously. Here in John 19:28–30, He accepts the vinegar just before saying, “It is finished.” This fulfilled Psalm 69:21: “..They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink...” By drinking, He completed the last prophecy concerning His suffering. 3. Spiritual significance a) FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY – Jesus deliberately took the vinegar to ensure every Messianic prophecy about His suffering was accomplished—showing God’s Word is perfect and cannot fail. b) SYMBOL OF THE BITTERNESS OF SIN – Vinegar’s sharp, sour taste reflects the bitterness and curse of sin that Jesus fully drank on our behalf (Isaiah 53:4–6; Galatians 3:13). c) SYMBOL OF HUMAN CRUELTY – Instead of compassion, they gave Him a sour, unpleasant drink in His dying thirst—highlighting how humanity treated the Saviour with mockery rather than mercy. d) SIGN OF COMPLETE SURRENDER – Jesus accepted the vinegar not to relieve pain but to declare the work finished. His acceptance shows that He bore the sourness of the cross so we could taste the sweetness of salvation. MY EXPERIENCE: I once took a sip of what I thought was clean drinking water during a hot afternoon outreach, only to realise it was stale and sour. The taste stayed in my mouth for hours, leaving me uncomfortable and thirsty. In a much greater way, Jesus knowingly tasted the bitterness of sin—not by mistake, but by choice—so that you and I could be refreshed forever with the living water of eternal life (John 4:14). Jesus did not whisper His final words—He declared them: “It is finished!” This wasn’t the whimper of a dying man; it was the triumphant roar of a conquering King. In that moment, the debt of sin was paid in full. Every chain of darkness, every record of guilt, and every legal right of Satan was nullified. The Cross became heaven’s courtroom, and the verdict was clear: guilty humanity is now justified by faith in Christ (Romans 5:1). What began in sorrow ended in eternal celebration. Hell thought it had won, but Jesus turned the cross into a throne of victory. Today, the same voice that shouted “It is finished” speaks over your battles, your fears, your sins, and your shame. Victory isn’t a future hope—it’s a sealed fact. Your enemies have been disarmed (Colossians 2:15), and your past can no longer imprison you. Don’t fight for victory—stand in the victory already won for you at the Cross. WISDOM NUGGET: The Cross sealed the deal—victory is your birthright. (1 Corinthians 15:57) CHALLENGING QUESTIONS: 1. Do you still carry burdens that Jesus already declared finished? Solution: Release the burdens — Identify worries, sins, or guilt you’re holding onto, confess them to God, and trust His promise that “It is finished” (John 19:30). Replace self-effort with faith in His completed work. 2. How can you live each day with confidence in the finished work of Christ? Solution: Live by faith daily — Start each day declaring Christ’s victory over sin, fear, and failure, and walk in obedience, gratitude, and boldness knowing you are accepted, forgiven, and empowered in Him. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for finishing the work on the Cross. Help me to live in the reality of Your victory and reject every lie of defeat. I receive this victory as my identity, inheritance, and authority. Amen. (Romans 8:37) JOURNALING PROMPT: Write a letter to your past declaring, “It is finished.” Mention everything Jesus ended for you at the Cross. Your beloved in Christ, Pastor Olanrewaju G. L.
