A Federal Government delegation comprising Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen Abdulrahman Danbazzau and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khadijat Bukar Ibrahim, are on their way to Dapchi, Yobe State to meet with the freed schoolgirls. They will arrive Maiduguri first before going to the Yobe town, said Segun Adeyemi, special adviser to Minister of Information. The ministers attended a Federal Executive Council meeting, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, before they left for Maiduguri. Before their departure, Mohammed told media men that the number of the Dapchi schoolgirls who were released on Wednesday has increased from 76 to 101, with the documentation of more of the freed girls by the security agencies. In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister said the number could still increase, as the documentation of the freed girls is ongoing. He said the release of the schoolgirls is the outcome of the directive by President Muhammadu Buhari to all security agencies to do everything possible to secure the release of the 110 Dapchi schoolgirls, who were abducted 19 Feb. 2018. The Minister said the girls were released around 3 a.m. through back-channel efforts and with the help of some friends of the country, and that it was unconditional. ”For the release to work, the government had a clear understanding that violence and confrontation would not be the way out as it could endanger the lives of the girls, hence a non-violent approach was the preferred option. Within the period when the girls were being brought back, operational pause was observed in certain areas to ensure free passage and also that lives were not lost,” he said. more details @ http://www.ritalori.com/president-buhari-sends-3-ministers-dapchi-meet-released-girls/

Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, who is a strong critic of the Buhari administration, said this when he spoke to representatives of teachers, local government workers and private sector operators who paid him a courtesy visit in the state house in Ado-Ekiti, under the Oshoko Mass Movement(OMM), a political group. “Those who voted Muhammadu Buhari as the president of our country must seek for forgiveness. His leadership has brought unimaginable hardship and misery on the people. The killing is too much and if he continues in office the hardship will be intolerable. They said he would come and make the difference and make things better but the reverse is the case. Unemployment is second to none and he has killed the economy and made the people poorer. The level of nepotism is also unprecedented. Even their so-called fight against corruption is laced with favouritism and is one-sided,” he said Fayose during his speech, lamblasted the former governor of the state now Minister of Mines and Steel, Kayode Fayemi, for allegedly not using his office for the benefit of the state. “There are natural deposits across Ekiti, President Muhammadu Buhari spent N40 billion searching for crude oil in the north, what is Fayemi doing to unearth the minerals that abound here?” he asked Fayose thanked Ekiti teachers and parents for making it possible for the state to take a big leap in the secondary education sector. He applauded them for endorsing his deputy, Kolapo Olusola, as his successor. more details@ http://www.ritalori.com/voted-buhari-2015-ask-god-forgiveness-governor-fayose-says/

O.J Simpson had his lawyer call Judith Regan, the woman who published his book, 'If I Did It,' and said flat-out Simpson murdered Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman ... this according to Regan herself. This is the most damning part of the special, "OJ Simpson: The Lost Confession?," which will air Sunday on Fox. TMZ got this exclusive clip. BTW, the clip is an outtake ... it will not appear on the show. It's really stunning ... Regan says Simpson's lawyer said the book couldn't be titled "I Did It" because Simpson needed cover in dealing with his children. Judith Regan FYI ... Simpson left Nicole's almost decapitated body right by the front door of her condo as their 2 children slept. Had Nicole's dog not led a passerby to the condo after the murders, O.J.'s children would have awakened in the morning and found their mom's mangled, bloody body. more details and images @ http://www.ritalori.com/o-j-simpson-reportedly-confessed-1994-murders-wife-friend-book-publisher/

A 9-year-old boy drowned while trying to save a friend from a construction pit, in Soshanguve, South Africa. Thapelo Tambani, a pupil at Transoranje School for the deaf, was playing with friends on a heap of sand near a construction site last Wednesday. One of his friends suddenly slipped into a nearby water-filled trench. Tambani managed to rescue his friend, but ended up sliding into the trench himself. His brother Joseph tried to rescue Tambani, but he had disappeared under the murky water. A week later after Tambani’s death, relatives and residents are blaming a construction firm for the unsafe conditions at the site. His mother Sarah said: “I blame the contractor for the passing of my son. The scene is now made to look like it was safe all along.” However, the construction company, Vharanani Properties , said it was not to blame. They claim safety measures had been in place at the excavated trench in the area near Soshanguve South Secondary School in Extension 10 at the time of the accident. “The trench had been securely barricaded with safety nets,” noted site manager Jerry Sawena. Extension 10 residents disputed the company’s claims that the trench had always been secured. Samuel Maluleka, who lives close to the trench, said the contractor could have done more to ensure the safety of the community, especially of children. “The safety net was not tight as it fell down at times without the company returning to fix it,” said Maluleka. “We have children in the area – they should have thought of that.” Another resident, William Soloms, said the trench was only sealed after Tambani’s death. “The child was pulled out of the trench on late on Wednesday evening, but Thursday morning we woke up to a sealed pit.” Akasia police spokesperson Matsobane Mabusela said an inquest into the cause of death was underway. more details @ http://www.ritalori.com/heroic-9-year-old-south-african-boy-drowns-trying-rescue-friend-fell-construction-pit/

Former Governor Peter Obi (3rd Left) with some of the prominent resource persons at the 2018 African SME Roundtable Forum held last weekend in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. African governments have been advised to look in the direction of China in their search for solutions to the continent’s economic problems. Former Governor of Anambra State Mr. Peter Obi, gave the advice while delivering a keynote speech at the three-day 2018 African SME Roundtable Forum concluded on Saturday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. He drew attention to the fact that only 35 years ago, Africa boasted better economic indices than China. “Thirty-five years ago, Africa was doing better than China per capita, but the reverse is now the case,” Obi lamented, reeling out figures to buttress his point. He noted that while Africa has regressed over the past three decades, China has gone on to become one of the best economies in the world. The secret, he said, lies in China’s massive investment in education and skill acquisition programmes, as well as solid support for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs). “If Africa is to be turned around, it will be done through SMEs. That is the engine of growth, even in developed countries,” said the former Governor, who since after leaving office in 2014 has devoted his time to the promotion of education across the continent and imparting of knowledge through speaking engagement in various parts of the world. Citing the global trend, Obi advised Nigeria and the rest of Africa to aggressively pursue “knowledge economy” as against the preoccupation with “baggage economy”, which he described as being old fashioned. He warned that oil cannot save Nigeria or any other African country, pointing out that global firms such as Apple, Facebook and Microsoft, “which sell knowledge”, are making more money than a country like Nigeria which depends heavily on oil revenue. “Don’t think that oil is going to save Nigeria or any other African country. If it could do that, it would have saved Venezuela,” Obi warned He also condemned the public sector’s penchant of “borrowing money without saving to pay back,” warning: “That is anarchy. The youths will pay for ittomorrow.” He also condemned multiple taxation, blaming it on the fact that “government has not realised the importance of SMEs.” The former Governor, himself a successful business man before he ventured into politics, shared success secrets and spoke of how he was able to save money as two-time Governor of Anambra State by drastically cutting the cost of governance and partnering with development agencies such as the Bank of Industry and international development partners. He advised African youths not to lose hope but to remain positive and see SMEs as something they can use to deliver the continent out of poverty and even change the world for the better. He noted that from the discussions, it was evident that there are large opportunities in Africa. But “young people must invest wisely for them to create wealth and job for others. You must also manage your cost. Unless it is for business purposes, spend from your surplus and not from the money you use to do business,” he advised. The Roundtable drew economic experts from various parts of Africa, among them Ambassador Joseph Habineza, former Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria; Dr. Kheswar Jankee, Ambassador, Republic of Mauritius to Germany; Rose Mboya, Head of Intellectual Property, Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI); Victor Grange Mehile, former Minister of Agriculture, Republic of Equatorial Guinea; and Alhaji Babale Girei, former Managing Director of Nigeria’s Bank of Agriculture and pioneer President of the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises. more details @ http://www.ritalori.com/africa-can-develop-like-china-peter-obi/

A new lawsuit filed by the porn star known as Stormy Daniels claims President Donald Trump never signed a hush agreement regarding an alleged sexual encounter between the two and therefore the agreement is void. According to the legal complaint filed in California state court and tweeted out by her lawyer on Tuesday, Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, signed the document on behalf of the President instead. The porn star, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claims in the lawsuit to have had an affair with Trump several years prior to his presidency. However, the lawsuit claims that when he was running for office and multiple women were coming forward to share stories of their own alleged encounters with the then-Republican presidential candidate, Cohen intervened in an attempt to keep Clifford from coming forward as well. "Despite Mr. Trump's failure to sign the Hush Agreement, Mr. Cohen proceeded to cause $130,000.00 to be wired to the trust account of Ms. Clifford's attorney. He did so even though there was no legal agreement and thus no written nondisclosure agreement whereby Ms. Clifford was restricted from disclosing the truth about Mr. Trump," the document states. The lawsuit says Cohen has continued his attempts at silencing Clifford including as recently as February 27, 2018. "To be clear, the attempts to intimidate Ms. Clifford into silence and 'shut her up' in order to 'protect Mr. Trump' continue unabated. For example, only days ago on or about February 27, 2018, Mr. Trump's attorney Mr. Cohen surreptitiously initiated a bogus arbitration proceeding against Ms. Clifford in Los Angeles. Remarkably, he did so without even providing Ms. Clifford with notice of the proceeding and basic due process" the lawsuit states.. A defense lawyer representing Cohen did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday. NBC News first reported on Clifford's complaint against Trump. more details @ http://www.ritalori.com/porn-star-stormy-daniels-sues-president-trump-alleged-affair-hush-agreement/
