I don want to believe that the OP is a Nigerian, it will be a very big shame if he was!

I had always thought that we Nigerians are supposedly smart and Enlightened but since 2015 I have been so disappointed in the comments that I see online, how can an Educated African adult hold the kind of opinion that the OP holds about himself his Country and his Race, what a shame!!!

My only advice to this Op and others that think like him is that they should read about what happened in Zimbabwe, What the West did to Zimbabwe is not only unfair but it's Criminal.

Very few countries can survive (Economically) the amount of Sanctions that the West imposed on Zimbabwe, Mugabe's crime is that he reclaimed Zimbabwean lands from white Farmers.

mrakeli62:
The general public respect honesty, integrity, sincerity and humility. A politicians must say what they mean and mean what they say. The problem is that most politicians are liars and they say one thing to get elected and do another thing after they are elected. Where are the honest politicians? Where are the politicians who place the best interests of the nation first before other interests and special interests and personal interest? Crooked politicians are a disgrace to any nation. A lying, thieving corrupt politician is not "a fit and proper person to hold public office." ― Errol Anthony Smythe. But in this part of the world, we tear ourselves apart to keep them. But one would question why our thinking has gone so low to still support this men of high immoral behaviors, or is it that these men have ripped off our senses. One would have been forgiven for mistaking the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB's) civil disobedience against Senator Ike Ekweremadu, to the ranting of a Nigerian teenager approaching his puberty or aggrieved youth, or even a political quagmire, but to see some people who claim they are scholars supporting these politicians and condemning the action of IPOB is really worrisome.

To think that professors like Professor Charles Soludo, right thinking human beings and other well meaning Nigerians, would condescend so low in thought and civility to condemn the action of IPOB in Nuremberg, Germany, reminds Nigerians of the enormous work ahead if we will ever live in an environment of decent men and women. We are not just at war with the Nigerian Army who would prefer a bandit and murderer freed and their fellow force members killed, Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen menace; we are at war against deteriorating reasoning. “It looks like retarded specie of homo sapiens has evolved in the bantu sub-Saharan Africa". Nigeria will never see any revolution, except it is organized from outside the country and unless IPOB, spearheaded by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the organizer of the revolution.

According to Reverend Father Felix, "Africa political growth has been stalled on three factors." First, African revolutions have always been hijacked by the elites. Ninety five percent of the wealth of Africa is controlled by the political class and their cronies who do not constitute more than two percent of the entire population. Whenever the masses come close to a revolution, the elites dissolve into the crowd, forming groups and fake sympathy with the agitating masses. They hijack their common pain, use it to oust a regime and wrestle power back. Months after inauguration of the new regime, they begin reconciliations, sending the poor masses back home. We have seen this in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. Gambia is the newest baby. In Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), fantastically bequeathed to us, a corrupt system. At the peak of it, they got factionalized and formed All Progressives Congress (APC) and riding on public disenchantment against corruption, they hijacked the power back. Today, we have the worst government since amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914.

Secondly, African revolutions fail because African States get leaders they deserve. African masses are always weak to resist immediate gratifications for long term political freedom. Greed and hunger have forced masses to settle for anything. Across the 36 state capitals in Nigeria, the oppression is successful to the level that even our brothers and sisters are used to destroy our collective good. Even those not benefiting are just comfortable that their kinsmen are in-charge. Take a look at our haggard boys and girls who praise-sing our government. Their minds can be as damaged as some of their grammars. Our leaders know this, that is why they recruit willing hands to frustrate common good.

Lastly, Africa is nurtured into divisiveness. Nigerians can identify their problems but they seek solutions with divisive lens. We cry for neglect of infrastructures in the South-East but the leaders of the region convert our meager allocations into gifts and send them back to the North to curry favour. When policy analysts advocate for prudent spending, their first attack comes from the poorest of the poor".

It is time for Sowore to have a rethink, strategise, be more prepared and put his house in other before telling Nigerians about 'RevolutionNow'. From the look of things, he now knows he is on his own. Slaves can be saved only if they knew they are a slaves.

This so called "Ipob Revolution" is it a Nigerian revolution or a biafran revolution?

The "civil disobedience" on Ike Ekweremadu by Ipob as you mischievously put it but which is actually an assult for being a One Nigerian Senator is not for the good of the country, no right thinking Nigerian will support Ipob.

MNDY:

Oga, we are all in this together, Biafrans and non-Biafrans alike. The attack is but an attempt and a good way to go to make them stay and fix Nigeria.

Nobody is enjoying Nigeria and we all want it to disintegrate even (violently if it has to come to that). Our combination is and has been the source of our problem. We should all go our separate ways for very region to become independent and plan its own development and growth.

What happened in Germany was action taken by one part of aggrieved Nigeria. Given the opportunity, every other Nigerian would do the same thing except the northerners. It is a wake-up call. Biafra as a pressure group or whatever it has become today like you tried to paint it remains a movement fighting for a just cause. Can't you see that the Igbo's are not enjoying Nigeria same way the rest of us are too for them to want to get political gains or secede by forming such movement?

so if you are to be asked what the problem of Nigeria is, your honest and Dispassionate answer will be "Diversity" and Difference? what a shame!! how can people be so simple minded and short-sighted.

Our problems as a Nation and Individual components are:
1. Bad leadership
2. Corruption
3. Indiscipline
4. Illiteracy
5. Moral Decadence

Tribalism is only a tool used against simple minded people to further someone's (Elites) goal. Tribalism is a very serious issue in Nigeria and Africa in general, but it is not the cause of poverty and underdelopment.

If most of you guys that are calling for the Disintegration of Nigeria can really think deeply about it (without passion and hate) you will understand that our founding fathers were not foolish.

Honestly I am really disappointed in some of our youths whom have decided to be used by divisive forces against their own country, small minded and short-sighted youths.

Nigeria is a sleeping Giant and by God's grace it will awake to it's true potential, China was in a similar situation as we are now when Napoleon called her a sleeping Giant, we can now see that he was right.

Solutions is what we need and not Disintegration, not to run behind religious/ethnic lines and propagate hate.

Anybody that supports this Ipob act is a very foolish and short-sighted person... the question we should be asking is why was Ekweremadu assulted?

1. Because Ipob love Nigeria?
2. Because Ipob hate Nigeria?
3. Because of the Shirt Ekweremadu was wearing?
4. Because Ekweremadu has spoken against Ipob in the past?
5. Because of Insecurity in Nigeria?
6. Because Ekweremadu is Corruption?
7. Because Ipob is a Terrorist Group?

we all know that Ipob hates Nigeria as a country and are actively working for it's Disintegration.

Ekweremadu was assulted simply because of the shirt he wore to the Occasion, Ipob don't hate Ekweremadu but hate Nigeria and Senator Ekweremadu represented Nigeria because of the Coat of Arms on the shirt that he wore to the Occasion.
Ekweremadu has just learnt a lesson the hard Way since he refused to learn the easy way, which is to learn from history and from others. there were a lot of signs that Ipob was a "Terrorist group in the making" but Ekweremadu and others though that Ipob could be used as a pressure group for political gains. Ekweremadu has finally learnt the hard way, but the issue know is that Ipob has tasted blood and they like the taste and will not stop at only Ekweremadu or Assulting Igbo political office holders Abroad, the madness will be brought to Igbo Land and probably other Nigerian state that Ipob members are found.

Ipob does not care about corruption or insecurity all it wants is Biafra and the Disintegration of Nigeria, so Ekweremadu was not assulted because of corruption or insecurity in Nigeria and we should not be naive to think that Ipob wants a secure, prosperous and corruption free Nigeria.

In conclusion Ipob is a very Dangerous Terrorist group that was in it's infancy when Ekweremadu and others though that it could be used as a pressure group for political gains of the Igbo's in Nigeria, there were warned but did not listen on time. Nnamdi Kanu was caught on camera soliciting for Arms to fight the Nigerian state, Insulting/denigrating other tribes in Nigeria, calling for the Disintegration of Nigeria and some Naive politicians think Nnamdi Kanu's Ipob can be used for political gains.
I don't see Ipob restricting it's terrorism of Nigerian Igbo's in Government Abroad, I see Ipob taking it to Igbo Land and it will not stop at assult only soon they will start assassinating Igbo's in Government.

Already the Supreme/Spiritual leader of Ipob Nnamdi Kanu has started placing Bounty on the heads of elected Governors.

It is very unfortunate that this coming from Ohanaeze Ndigbo, you would expect that they should know better.

War or the treat of war does not give political positions, they played very bad politics during the last General Election and the results is not easy for them to live with.

There was no Civil War when your favorite party was in power for 16years, no Civil War when Good luck Jonathan was president for about six years but since your favorite party lost the center we have not had peace from you and your people, is that how to play politics?

In all the 16years you and your party held the center we did not hear cries of Marginalization from you, or Biafra or death.
you can not be one Nigeria when you have the center then Biafran when you lose out in politics, you are not scaring anybody.

to me the NBC has acted within it's powers and even gave reasons for the sanction on AIT, AIT should simply approach the Courts if it is not satisfied with the decision of NBC.

there is no need for people to cry, curse or harm themselves over this straight forward matter.

Democracy, Freedom of speech are not in any Danger because AIT broke some rules/regulations of the NBC and the NBC withdrew their license after several warnings, if you ask me this is Democracy at work

NBC is not in order. There is nothing in the Act setting up the NBC that allows it to use brute force and soldiers, to shut down an erring station. NBC should have sued AIT to court, after investigating the facts. If court verdict is then given in favour of NBC, then it could have shut down the station in a civilised way.

Just incase you don't know these are the Functions of the NBC:

What are the functions of nbc?

1. Advising the Federal Government generally on the implementation of the National Mass Communication Policy with particular reference to broadcasting.

2. Receiving, Processing and considering applications for the ownership of radio and television stations including cable television services, direct satellite broadcast and any other medium of broadcasting.

3. Recommending applications through the Minister to the President, Commander in chief of the Armed Forces for the grant of radio and television licences.

4. Regulating and controlling the broadcast industry;

5. Undertaking research and development in the broadcast industry;

6. Receiving, considering and investigating complaints from individuals and bodies corporate regarding the content of a broadcast and the conduct of a broadcasting station;

7. Upholding the principles of equity and fairness in broadcasting.

8. Establishing and disseminating a national broadcasting code and setting standards with regard to the contents and quality of materials for broadcast;

9. Promoting Nigerian indigenous cultures, moral and community life through broadcasting;

10. Promoting authenticated radio and television audience measurements and penetration.

11. Initiating and harmonizing government policies on transborder direct transmission and reception in Nigeria.

12. Regulating ethical standards and technical excellence in public, private and commercial broadcast stations in Nigeria.

13. Monitoring broadcasting for harmful emission, interference and illegal broadcasting;

14. Determining and applying sanctions including revocation of licence of defaulting stations which do not operate in accordance with the broadcast code and in the public interest.

15. Approving the transmitter power, location of stations, areas of coverage as well as regulate types of broadcast equipment to be used; and,

16. Carrying out such other activities as are necessary or expedient for the full discharge of all or any of the functions conferred on it under, or pursuant to this Decree (Act).

1. You are not implying that the Senator should not be questioned while at the same time faulting Tracka for questioning the Senator.

This is you being deceptive and trying to have it both ways with forced contradictions. If it is your belief that the Senator should be questioned and held accountable, then why keep going on and on about irrelevant issues?

2. Tracka is not a government/taxpayer-funded group or individual like the senator, the senator is a public official and he collects paychecks from us every month so he is accountable to the taxpayers/his constituency.

3. What you are doing is what public officials and their fans do in Nigeria when you question them or demand accountability, they turn everything into politics, tribalism and witchhunt just to evade and dodge.

Instead of throwing tantrums and refusing to be held accountable, he should have said I'll follow up with the MDA and the contractor and let you know the outcome because my people should not be shortchanged.

He should be working with Tracka to put pressure on the MDA and the contractor to get things done, but right now, they've abandoned the project and his people are left with nothing and the Senator care less, he's moved on.

GOD bless you!!!

My own question is why do the Senators fight tooth and nail for constituency projects that they do not follow up on?
