A friend invested $221(about #100,000) in Pennywise Investment Management some time last month. On daily basis she watched her ROI grow till it got to $150. She requested to cash out some money into her wallet but was told she can only withdraw $30 at a time, and this would take four(4) days to reflect in her wallet.

To cut the long story short, three (3) days ago, she received a mail from Pennywise requesting for a maintenance fee of $50 to be paid within 48hours or risk being blocked.

While still in bewilderment as to why Pennywise as it were, would not just deduct the said maintenance fee from her accruables, just yesterday, her account was blocked, and now as I type, she can no longer access the site. Her capital gone, ROI gone.

Could you please confirm this modus operandi?

Every account holder pays a one time maintenance fee of $50 me too I paid on my two accounts, it's normal, if you don't pay within the 48hours your account will be suspended not wiped out, you may not be able to receive returns and make withdrawal, now on the withdrawal of only $30 every account has a withdrawal limit considering the size of your account and due to frequent withdrawal that's why every account is regulated to withdraw every 4days at most. Always read your notice on your dashboard, since Monday the went into maintenance to restore the automated withdrawal system which will be effective from this Friday so tell your friend to try logging in by Friday, the account may have all been restored but the truth is, the maintenance fee must be paid if not you will just be viewing the account and no progress will be made in terms of returns. Read the FAQ section for clarity on this. Pennywise will never alter an invested amount that is why they will not take it from your money already with them. Join forums on pennywise on Facebook to be properly informed. Hope it helps

Investment is thing of choice, don't misunderstand those who invested, I have not invested either in MBA, but that doesn't make it bad, even the Nigerian govt flagging MBA as scam, are we sure any of us is willing to even invest in Nigerian as a business outfit, I wonder who is more scam than the Nigerian government. I paid10k and got mine it's not compulsory you can go and get the letter signed if you can at the board but u guess the 10k is to make it faster

Your credit history is spoilt already. The reason why you wanna pay them is because you can't access other loans else their money would have gone. Always be good and nice, it pays a lot. A lady wanted to access 300,000 naira loan from us; i asked if she was in an existing loan but she said no. Only for me to request for her statement of account and found that she was in loans with 3 different loan companies including Zedvance and Renmoney. Now you spoilt your financial history. The implication is that the readiness for financial institutions to give you loans in future will be low and as a business man, you will always need loan.

Agreed but not dead, spoilt can be rebuilt again and that's what am doing, I have made the payment already and they have submitted my clearance to CRB, lessons have been learnt for me am not in for loan apps again

My brother, after paying off the loan,you'll still have to call the credit bureau to clear your name because you've been blacklisted already. Ordinarily after paying off the loan, both branch and carbon ought to send your details to the bureau for clearance but they won't. Mine took more than one month before I was cleared by the bureau because even after I had made full repayment,it was still indicating that I was still owing. My dear, after repaying the loan, just call the bureau. Good luck

Yes I understand my dear, but a debt is already are debt that has to serviced, you can only plan and manage when you have paid your debts and that is why I want to close the business I have with the online companies once and for all and never get involved with them again for my bank it's for investment purposes cause I don't see this our job offering the needed protection in future cause of the way the govt is handling us just imagine 7yrs without promotion, my dear I fear for myself. If I knew the apps could go to that extent I would have settled them before applying with FCMB to avoid all these inconvienience. Just understand with me am not borrowing because I enjoy it but to serve a purpose.

Good morning colleagues, Hope we are staying safe, few months back I was here asking for a guide on how to get loan from fcmb, thanks for those that responded positively especially Mr Peter, am grateful, well I did apply and I was approved for 700k, but my banker called me last week that the loan is put on hold, why? Because carbon and branch loan apps reported me to Nigeria credit bureau and that I need to clear the debts with them before the bank will disburse the loan. Am owing both of them 20k. If I can get a bail of 20k from any one willing here I would pay back 25k next week either from my salary or the loan disbursed by my bank. I never knew this online apps meant it, it's just last December I borrowed from them. He single handedly as Governor in 2013 employed 13,000 teachers who are all gainfully employed till today in Rivers state, just imagine if other Governors have done half of that, do you know how many families you would have fed, I am part of those employed and am not even from Rivers state likewise many others amongst the 13,000.
