ISLAM AND THE CONCEPT OF GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT.

Islam, according to Hasan Al-banna is a comprehensive system that encompasses all spheres of life.1 In other words, the philosophy of Islam divine in such a way that it provides spectrum in tackling the pervading social melees. Hence, gender and development have been referred to as social related issue which includes men and women in the society. As such, the question is, how does Islam contributes towards the gender and development? What are the ways in which Islam has put in place to arrest the melees that ensues as a result of mismanaging the affairs of gender and development? These are the questions this paper intends to proffer solution to?
