How to Avoid Sapa as a Student in Nigeria 2022 – This article will guide you on some major process taken on how to avoid Sapa. Keep reading. What is sapa? The word ‘Sapa’ is one of the most used lingoes in the Nigerian social media space. ’Sapa’ is street lingo for being broke. It is a Nigerian slang that refers to the level or stage of brokenness and a result of hardship in a country or state. For instance, when you cannot afford your bills or immediate needs, it simply means Sapa has successfully reached your end. Condolences! How to avoid Sapa But the relief is that this Sapa fever is not for everyone, especially those who are smart and can plan their finances. Remember the popular saying about what wise people do together? Yes, that’s what’s up. Clicking this link alone means you are keen to be that wise owl, poised to be the master of managing the Sapa fever. So, let’s get started. Shall we? Below are some tips on how to avoid sapa in Nigeria: 1. Live within your means: No matter how economical you can be, it is difficult to reduce expenses but we as a youth should learn how to cut our coat to our size. Don’t go for what your hands can not afford, or maybe your friends are buying fancy stuff and you feel you belong and later open your box of saving to buy those expenses wears. Believe me, by the time hunger hits you bah, you go know say sapa dey real. 2. Save for rainy days: I will advise you create three (3) saving box. I know it will be difficult sometime but it the best. Make one for probably when a matter arises, another one for feeding and then the last one for future saving. The one for feeding will help when you are broke to find something to eat. The second saving will help you only when an important matter happens and the only option is to use the second saving box to solve problem. And then the last saving should be touched at all. Because the remaining two will already help solve some issues before even thinking of using the last one. 3. Learn a high income paying skill: Sapa is a very stubborn being and you must treat it with every seriousness. It is not that Sapa will give you 100% attack, and you will switch on and off like your area transformer or keep offside like it’s a football match. To effectively deal with this Sapa matter, you have to set measurable, realistic, time-bound, and smart goals. Learning a high income paying skill is a great counter-attack against sapa and its oppression. Here we end our article on How to avoid Sapa. I hope this was helpful. If you are an undergraduate admission seeker, you are advised to carefully read this post and follow the below recommendations to increase your chances of gaining admission into the University you desire: 1. Upload Complete/Right O’level results: JAMB has made it clear last year that henceforth, no candidates will be admitted with incomplete O’level results. A candidate that does not have the complete O’level results for his or her chosen course of study is not qualified for admission. This does not mean that candidates that are are still waiting for the release of their O’level results cannot be considered for admission. However, such candidates are to ensure they upload their complete O’level results before admission commences or immediately after the results are released. As a matter of fact, all candidates should confirm their O’level results are available on JAMB CAPS. Without this, no admission for you. 2. Have a Correct JAMB UTME-Subject Combination: Just the same way an incomplete/wrong O’level results can disqualify you for admission, the same way a wrong UTME subject combination can equally disqualify. UTME Subject combination is the combination of subjects related to your intended course of study that you are expected to take during the JAMB examination. Candidates are expected to go through the JAMB Brochure to know the exact UTME subject combination for their chosen course of study. 3. Apply to a School That Your State of Origin Is Within Its Catchment Area: Each Federal University has its own catchment areas. These catchment areas are states connected to that particular federal university. If your state of origin is recognized as part of the catchment area of the federal university you applied to study, you will stand a better chance of securing admission into that university than someone else whose state of origin is not recognized as part of the university’s catchment area. 35% of the available spaces are reserved for candidates whose state of origin falls within the catchment area of the federal university of their choice. So it is advisable to apply for admission to an institution that has your state of origin as part of its catchment area. 4. A High JAMB Score Though a high JAMB score does not automatically mean that you will gain admission, a high JAMB score will help boost your chances of securing admission especially if your intended course of study is a competitive course like Medicine, Law, etc. This is why you should study well for the upcoming examination. Have you attempted our JAMB Past Questions and Answers Online Quiz? They were all compiled specially to help candidates adequately prepare for the forthcoming JAMB exam as it contains all you need to excel. 5. A Good Post-UTME Score: A high Post JAMB score equally gives a candidate a high chance of gaining admission. A good JAMB score alone is not enough. You equally need a good Post-UTME score. That will give you a better chance of securing admission. Have you gotten the Post-UTME past questions and answers for your school of choice? If not, get it now so you can prepare adequately for the aptitude test. |
I will be making the past questions in PDF format very soon. Stay tuned. |
Below are some mistakes you should never make as a Student of a University/Polytechnic in Nigeria: 1. NEVER wait till your year 4 or 3 before going for your IT/internship, use every holiday to learn something new and interesting, be it in your field or outside of it. 2. NEVER graduate knowing only things pertaining to your degree, if you do, you will limit yourself. Expand your horizon, know something about everything there is to know. 3. NEVER read for grades, grades won’t carry you beyond school. Read for knowledge, read to be empowered. 4. NEVER separate yourself from others, Make friends with all sort of people, Regardless of faith, creed, colour and knowledge. 5. NEVER allow a lecturer limit you or your ability. He is where he probably wants to be..you are not yet where you want to be..don’t allow him limit you by his words, grades or outburst. 6. NEVER look down on grades, read to have the A’s, do your best to be among the best. If C is what you can achieve with all your strength achieve it. 7. NEVER substitute religious activity for real relationship with God, participate in fellowship activities but never let it replace your personal interaction with God. Don’t be a zealot or an extremist. 8. NEVER look down on anyone, the poor guy then could be a millionaire after school, the guy who struggled to make third class might come back powerful and rich. No other person has been more recognised in my set (internationally and within Nigeria) than my good friend Olalekan despite graduating with a weak 2:2…No be by what you graduate with o. 9. NEVER take your CGPA or graduating class as the final say on your life. Why should a cream-coloured A4 paper, signed by a Professor, produced by NSMC be a final authority on your life? 10. NEVER think people are going to treat you specially just because you are graduating with a good grade. The world out there is full of people MORE qualified than you. Work out your “salvation”. What saves you is what you can do. 11. NEVER depart from God or godly principle, your life depends on him. In dominus El frustra…Latin..loosely meaning (Without God we labour in vain). You need God on your best days and on your worst days. Never look down on the power of favour or grace 12. NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP! TELL YOUR SELF WE THRIVE NOT DIE HERE. |

Tomorrow, I will be dropping the list of courses and their JAMB subject combinations for UTME 2022. |
I have now outlined below, the easiest procedures available for any student in 2022 to obtain his/her National Identification Number (NIN). As it stands, the registration for 2022 JAMB’s UTME will only be possible for candidates that have registered and obtained their NINs. The importance of getting your NIN as a student now cannot be overemphasized, as it may lead to the inability of a student to complete certain important tasks in schools or NYSC in the near future, hence the need to obtain it now and relax. In view of this, we deem it necessary to provide all students, and indeed prospective UTME candidates with the guidelines to register and obtain their NIN before the 2022 UTME registration begins as the registration is expected to commence soon. 2022 UTME Candidates are equally advised to start preparing for their exams using JAMB Past Questions and Answers Online Practice. Walk into the nearest NIMC Enrolment Centre with your BVN if you have one and any of the following required Original and Valid supporting documents: 1. Old National ID Card 2. Driver’s License 3. However, to limit the amount of time you will spend at the enrolment centre, you can download, print and complete the enrolment form at (https://nimc.gov.ng/), then proceed to an enrolment centre to complete the rest of the registration steps. STEPS - Applicants are to walk into the enrolment Centre with a supporting document. - Applicant will be verified to ascertain if he/she has ever enrolled using the NIN verification portal. - Applicant will be issued an enrolment form to fill if he/she has not enrolled before. OR the printed Barcode slip (for those who applied online) will be collected if the applicant had pre-enrolled earlier using the pre-enrolment service. - Applicant’s forms will be vetted by a NIMC Official to crosscheck the information filled on the form against the supporting document provided and to check for errors/mistake filled on the form. Note: applicants who cannot read nor write should be accompanied by a literate individual who can do the form filling for him/her. - Applicant’s pre-filled information will be inputted on the NIMC Software by a NIMC enrolment officer or the Barcode slip will be scanned by the NIMC enrolment officer to populate all the required field. - The enrolment officer will ask the applicant to double check his/her information for errors using the applicant monitor. - If the applicant is satisfied with his/her demographic information, the biometrics (ten finger prints and facial image) of the applicant will be capture subsequently. - After completing the enrolment, a Transaction ID Slip will be issued to the applicant as an evidence of the transaction. However, the Transaction slip does not confer the right to National Identification Number. The applicant will be requested to come back for the NIN within 1-5 working days, as it is subjected to availability of network, authentication and verification. - A National Identification Number (NIN) Slip is issued to the applicants after processing. - The National e-ID Card will be Issued to applicant within 12months after Issuance of NIN barring any unforeseen circumstances. The National e-ID Card will not be issued to minors until they become 16 years of age and above. In the case of a minor, after completion of enrollment, a text message will automatically be sent to the Applicant, Parent or guardian to come for update when they become 16 years of age. |
