lol, i used g2 back then, learnt a lot from the phone, that was the time of loki, bump n some other hacks, cloud g3 rom was awesome back then, there was also this cam that takes better picture than the default one i think xcam was the name can't remember

First thing i didwas to unlock botloader which was don under 10mins.

Then i instaled Redwolf recovery.

The reason i for installing rewolf recovery is cos of you recive ota updates(if u are still on miui rom) and it will automatically be flashed in redwolf recovery unlike twrp which does not has this feature.

.Next, i needed to try something new. So i searched for 'Best custom rom for Mido' and from usere review, Resurrection Remix OS Was the best custom rom for mido. So i flashed the RR5. 8 which was based on android 7.1 via redwolf recover.
The rom was very stable but i hated the interface. Although it is vert customizable, i just didn't like it. So i flashed the updates. RR6. 0 based on android 8.1. This particular rom is exactly what a what. an interface with black and white ONLY. but the rom is still a beta rom and not yet stable. System apps to crash a lot. And flash gapps also crashes on it.

So after everything, i manually upgraded my miui rom from 9.0 to 9.5.4 and so far, this rom is very clear on l with very good battery backup. Am still trying to figure out why miui suspended such a decent rom. Anyways in case you wanto test the rom for yourseld, you can just download the rom zip and flash via recovery.

lol, there is no best rom bro, it's all based on preference, rr is good for customization though, for the rr oreo, which did u try? Alexey's, adesh or endless version? A lot of appraisal for endless version though.

Anyone using wayang kernel for redmi note 4? The guy's been able to make quick charge work, about 40% increase in charging speed, u can also control the voltage if u use darkness control for kernel tweaking.

I charge it and test it USB tester. it shows 5.32v 0.08a

its almost full or full self, u can as well google mi flash cannot find the file specified, saw some solutions but i cant post link

does the name of folder you extracted it to has space? Mi flash won't work it u extract it to a folder with space in the name

did you extract the rom using 7 zip? U have to extract it like 2 times then point the mi flash to the images folder

He's right... provided it's charged aswell

charge it also, it wont show as charging cos kernel n some other things is messed up but keep it plugged in for a while, then flash again @ seyema

if it recognized the phone, test point method should work. Try another mi flash, probably an older version

have u tried test point method? That's the worst case scenario, download the correct fastboot rom and flash via test point. Phones are really hard to permanently brick these days, even if you download wrong rom or firmware once the updater script is good it wont flash

just buy from protein0 now, its even faster and cheaper. I've not been able to order powerbank since December, 1st landed in dispute as it never left china, I'm on the second dispute now as the other one has refused to land in naija.

Front cameras are gimmicks, no matter the sensor used, they are way limited, you can do a check on that.

some produces exceptional picture quality but features can not be compared that of back camera, things like hdr n co may not be that effective as it will on the back camera
