I used to be pissed off about it, but now I understand safety first. There are also cases where poles would fall down and electrocute people. It is better to turn it off for a few hours. Everybody go dey alright.

Pls explain this scenario.
There is no light, immediately rain starts, They will bring light.
It won't last more than 5mins, at times, they usually wait for one or two thunderstorms, light is off .
It will take them between 2-7days before light will be restored.
Question, why bringing light when it is about to raining?
