Guys, please I need you to help a very good friend on matters of the heart. You know telling a girl you like her too soon can turn off the heat. Here's his message:

Please I need your help. I took a huge risk of telling a lady I'm really into that I like her. She's a friend but not like a close friend but really do like her. I even invited her to a program and we had a nice time there. Now I fear that telling I like her this early might mess things up for me somehow but I made the move in response to her dp. It says something about making your intentions clear and not complicate other's life. So I took this as an indirect message to me, I asked her on a date to an event and I just dived in to tell her I like her. This became worrisome as she didn't reply for almost 24 hours although she said she didn't see the message. She agreed on the date but didn't keep my hopes high and then thanked me for liking her. Now I felt like I've popped the balloon and killed the emerging chemistry.

Please how do I fix this? This is the deepest feeling I've ever felt of wanting to be with someone.
