“I have developed sapele much more than Akpeki. Let him show the world what he has done. He has nothing to offer the people. The very best he could do was to appoint married and unmarried women with big ass from across the Niger as personal assistants and special assistants. He should tell the worlds who were his personal and special assistant while in government

PoliticsMy Suspension Unconstitutional, Oppressive- Uvwie LGA Chairman by adadelta(op): 12:40am On Sep 23, 2015
By Gabriel Ewepu
ABUJA – THE Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Baro Minabonware, has described his suspension as unconstitutional and oppressive by the Delta State House of Assembly.

Minabonware made the statement in his speech at a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday, where he claimed that the Delta State House of Assembly did not point out his offences before descending on him with a suspension.

He also added that the State Assembly did not get the constitutional two-third majority to suspend him as enshrined in the constitution, and thereby called for the intervention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the State to wade into the matter and for his reinstatement as a democratically elected Chairman of the Local Government Area.

He further explained why the press conference was held in Abuja instead of Asaba, saying 13 lawmakers’ life present with him at the briefing and his were in danger, they were barred from having access to the media in the state, and felt justice might come from the Federal level on his undemocratic suspension on August 4, 2015.

He said: “With a headline that expresses a heavy heart and burdened and really sad heart, I want the world to know that I been oppressed, suppressed and castigated when I should have been acknowledged and celebrated as one who brought peace, succour and hope to our people.

“I state categorically here that my suspension was unconstitutional and oppressive, which there was no two-third majority of councillors who made that move. The 13 councillors out of 20 were invited suspend me, and so the Speaker, Hon Monday Igbuya, could not secure that constitutional demand for my suspension.

PoliticsRe: Delta Speaker Gbuya's Description Of Women As "Big Arse" by adadelta(op): 9:18pm On Sep 22, 2015
It is indeed saddening and pathetic that despite calling the attention of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Monday Igbuya to retract his deregulatory reference of women as “Big Arse,” he has remained obdurate and stone-headed, an act which calls for concern on his person as a supposed father to a daughter, a son to a mother and a husband to a wife.
It is based on his obstinate and egocentric attitude that Delta Women NGO, has taken it open itself to petition the appropriate authorities for them to authenticate the level of insanity of the person occupying the exalted office of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
In his usage of the phrase “Big Arse,” we would like to ask, is it that women with “Big Arse,” are not brilliant, hardworking or not capable of discharging their duties especially when juxtaposed with the likes of Igbuya?
As an apolitical and not partisan group, we would not like to join issues with politicians especially with the likes of Igbuya and co but when they take their melee to the doorsteps of womanhood and integrity of women; it becomes an insult to all women irrespective of status, colour or ethnicity.
Besides, Igbuya should not forget that either by “Selection or Election,” he owes women a duty to represent them as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Okpe constituency and as Speaker of the House.
However, he should also note that despite his humble beginning from “meat selling and slaughtering at the Sapele market”, how would he feel if someone refers to him as a “Meat seller Speaker”?
We have briefed our lawyer on his ill-mannered utterances and have kick-started necessary actions against him.

PoliticsRe: Delta State Speaker Igbuya's Description Of Women As "Big Arse" by adadelta(op): 3:00pm On Sep 20, 2015
Delta Women wishes to draw the attention of all women in Delta state and women pressure groups in the world over the flagrant abuse of women by the Delta State Speaker, Hon Monday Igbuya who he referred to as "Big Arse".

In as much as we would not want to join issues with the Speaker who was reacting to the defection of a member of the PDP to the APC, his description of the women folks an avenue of which Igbuya was birthed, nurtured and breed, it is insulting on the female gender including the avenue of which he was birthed, to refer to them as "Big Arse".

It is not news that women are the backbones of every society as they mould and prepare individuals who emerge as Presidents, Governors and Speakers of House of Assemblies, a position Igbuya currently occupies, they are brilliant, hardworking, efficient and capable of discharging their duties just like their male counterparts irrespective of how big their "Arse" is according to Igbuya.

It is on the above premise that Delta Women is demanding an immediate apology in the next 24hours from the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly to apologies to women in the state for referring and describing them with such word else we would not fail to take necessary action against him.

PoliticsDelta Speaker Igbuya Describes Women As "Big Arse " by adadelta(op): 11:56am On Sep 20, 2015
Press release by delta state number 3 man Hon Monday Ovwigho Igbuya describing us women as "big arse" and "unmarried women " talked to his media person last night and we are waiting for an appology

ELSIE IJOROGU-REED

Clock ticking.

RT.HON. MONDAY IGBUYA LAMBAST PAULINUS AKPEKI.....
....
...... Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon Ovwigho Igbuya has described the former commissioner of housing in the state, Chief Paulinus Akpeki as a curse to the state, particularly Sapele Local Government, adding that his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as good riddance to bad rubbish.
A statement in Asaba signed by Henry Ebireri, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker challenged Akpeki to point to one bore-hole that he influenced to Sapele, a local government where he is claiming to be the leader. Igbuya who also described the former PDP chieftain as a political prostitute, foreigner and a highly irresponsible person said he was behind his appointment as member of the Railway Board.
“At the inception of the current democratic dispensation, Akpeki was a member of the All Peoples Party (APP). I was the driving force to him being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. I also recommended him for Board appointment at the federal level. Nothing was achieved in that appointment.
In 2003, Akpeki became chairman of Waste Management Board. He is the worst person imaginable in the entire human population. He is the worst chairman in the history of the board. Refuse were not collected from Sapele. He was sacked and replaced by Hon. Austin Ogbaburhon Okpoviekpurai.”
The speaker, who took time to correct the half-truths and dangerous insinuations contained in Akpeki’s recent interview, accused him of feeding the public with cooked and calculated lies.
“Akpeki was rejected by his community but former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan gave him succor by appointing him as commissioner of housing in 2007. As commissioner, he supervised the sales of government properties within and outside the state and collected his share. He also went after lands of political associates, saying Uduaghan is the owner of
the land.” He dismissed the view of Akpeki on the Sapele Market project.
“We have a plaque showing the Sapele Stadium was commissioned by Uduaghan. Chief Akpeki is castigating his master for commissioning uncompleted project. The stadium and market were not awarded by his administration. They were also not completed by his administration. I was council chairman when Chief James Ibori awarded the market project. It was inherited by Dr. Uduaghan
who was unable to complete it. Akpeki cannot point to anything he did in Sapele, not even a ring well.”
Igbuya also eulogized Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for being above board in the discharge of his duties
“Okowa wants to make Delta State stable and prosperous. He is moving with great zeal and vigour to make the difference. We are proud of him. We are happy with what he is doing.”
He urged Deltans irrespective of tribe, religion or political difference to give full support to Okowa to enable him complete his tenure smoothly and
successfully. Igbuya while describing the immediate past Chief of Staff to the Delta State governor as a fool said, “I am not a fool like the former commissioner who used his company to secure the Elume Ugboren road contract. Fifty percent was released to him. He squandered the money and nothing was done. I accept whole heartedly that *Moovig* is my company where I have interest before entering government.”
However, it is not the contractor of *Sapele Stadium* or *Market*. I am not the owner of *Stabilini Visinoni or Primi Construction Company*. I am not a director in any of these companies

PoliticsOkowa's Empowerment Scheme, A Cesspool Of Corruption by adadelta(op): 9:24am On Sep 01, 2015
***His trusted allies selling slots for N20,000

It is worrisome to note that the ongoing youth Empowerment Scheme by Delta State Government has seriously assumed a dishonourable dimension as some dubious allies to the governor are on the prowl to shortchange and swindle unsuspecting and indigent jobless youths who are struggling to earn a living their hard earned money.

Information gathered from a dependable source in different communities reveals that these dubious fellows are demanding as much as N20,000.00 or more from our young men and women with the promise to help them secure the empowerment programme.

When our reporter confronted one of the governor’s ally from Agbor, Ika South, he denied the unholy act. However when shown with pictorial evidence, he pleaded with us not to mention his name as according to him, it may affect him being appointed as a board member by the governor.

Suffice to say that this unwholesome development has cast serious doubt on the transparency of the empowerment exercise as many have lost confidence on the authorities saddled with the responsibility to conduct the programme.

It would be recalled that some civil servants employed by Okowa's predecessor were suspended following allegation of sharp practices associated with the recruitment. However, the most disturbing about the ugly scenario is the fact that in the face of glaring display of corrupt practices, the same sharp practices are equally rocking the empowerment scheme by Okowa led administration by some of those entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that the scheme process runs smoothly. Okowa’s led Government prefers to play the ostrich, thus, creating the fertile ground for rabid corruption to fester in the system.

It would also be recalled that unemployment is posing a serious challenge to the Government of Delta State with no practical or workable plan whatsoever to tackle the problem headlong. Every year, thousands of young Deltans graduate from tertiary institutions only to be recruited into the labour market were endless wait for a job has become a recurring decimal.

With the sack of 3,000 workers by governor Okowa, it is pertinent to note that the present state of unemployment in the state has undeniably gotten worse as teeming youths now roams the streets in search of non available jobs. Worst still, those at the corridors of power often seem not to be bothered about the malaise and hopeless situation the less privileged Deltans contend with every day.

No doubt, Deltans would agree that in spite of the (N11B) 11 billions Niara borrowed by this administration which is barely three months, funds could be traced to private pockets of political office holders, whose identities and offices are very well conspicuous and known to the general public.

There is no gainsaying the fact that poverty level of the citizens of Delta State has assumed a calamitous proportion within this three months of Okowa's led administration so much to the fact that if urgent measures are not taken to cushion the excruciating pains it unleashes on deltans, the consequence may be too disastrous for the government to contain.

PoliticsUwvie Pdp Suspends Embattled Uwvie Chairman, 13 Councilors by adadelta(op):
The crisis rocking Uwvie Local Government Council seems to have taken another dimension following the suspension of Hon Henry Baro and thirteen councilors said to be loyal to the embattled council chairman, by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Uvwie chapter.

It was learned that the decision to suspend the legislatures was taken by the party chairman, Kelly Otuedon and his secretary, Mrs Oboro whom we learnt is the elder sister to the Evelyn Oboro, without having an exco meeting with the party officials at Ejele's house along Army Housing Estate, Effurun.

We reliably gathered that Evelyn Oboro and Michael Diden, alas Ejele ordered the party chairman to suspend Henry Baro and the councilors following their refusal to backdown.

A source close to the party boss who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity stated that the decision to suspend the councilors may spell dom for the party.

"Prince Kelly has been pushed by Ejele to make a biggest blunder of the year as this shall definitely destroy our party in Uvwie if not reversed. "

In what could be regarded as a witch-hunting, another source confided in us that the House of Assembly may have perfected plans to further suspend the councilors from office tomorrow when the house resumes.

PoliticsWhy Okowa, Diden Wants Uvwie Council Boss Out by adadelta(op): 7:25pm On Aug 23, 2015
Facts have emerged on why the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa wants the Uvwie Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Henry Baro out of office.

According an impeccable source, the crisis started with the imposition of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP house of assembly candidate in Uvwie, Mr. Matthew Itsekiri, by the present governor using one Michael Diden, alas Ejele, Eveyln Oboro and Monday Igbuya without consulting with the party leaders and stakeholders in the area.

This we learnt angered the leaders who mobilized and educated the voters to vote for any house of assembly candidate of their choice, and eventually saw the SDP candidate, Hon. Oforbroku clinching the seat.

"They brought Mathew Itsekiri, who is not from Uvwie local government be come our house of assembly member. They gave him PDP flag without conducting primary election."

"This destructive interference by external forces sadly and unfortunately has been the norms rather than the aberration. This time around, the external forces were resisted and they failed as Uvwie indigenes voted out the PDP imposed candidate, Mr. Matthew."

"Visibly angry Okowa now thought it was our council boss, Baro that mobilized Uvwie indigenes to vote against his candidate, as he has now sworn to pay the chairman back by removing him from office."
