I would recommend you hostforlife.eu for blogging site. I only pay around EUR 40-50/year for my wordpress site. What I like they offer unlimited disk space and bandwith.

Yes, that's right, Godaddy also offer cheap hosting and domain registration. They are cheap but for me their services up and down like rollercoaster.

Hmm... Some of hosting provider such as hostforlife.eu offer FREE domain if you register their hosting plan. I believe that other provider also can give you free domain name. Just test to find it or you may post your question to webhostingtalk.

I would not recommend to go with free hosting. I have ever tried free hosting previously and the service is sucks. There are many advertisements to my site and the service often goes down. Maybe they put thousand sites on the same server.

For me, reliable is the most important thing, then the price. I use asp.net site that require high traffic to my site. I need reliable one. Now, I use http://www.hostforlife.eu to host my asp.net site. I'm paying around EUR 5.00/mo only. It is quite cheap. I can host my asp.net site and my blog with them. They are reliable and offer great customer service.
