Literature / The Most Scaecest Resources (time) by ADAMS0129(m): 8:11pm On Dec 31, 2016 |
Yesterday, I saw a comedy series(can't remember the title now), on Television Continental(TVC) A guy, saw five hundred naira note, on the ground. For minutes, he was lost in thoughts whether to pick the money or not. . In his first imagination, he imagined himself picking the money and turning to a fowl. In his second imagination, he imagined himself picking the money and turning into a big cow, the type you'll always find on Buhari's farm. He was scared to pick up the money. Until he reached the conclusion, to urinate(perhaps to neutralise any form of 'jazz') on the note before picking it up. Before he was done with his imagination/conclusion, a young man, picked up the money and went his way. Hilarious right? . Here is the analogy of the story. Sometimes, we take too much time thinking much on the outcome of an idea conceived. Forgetting there's someone, somewhere, thinking about the same idea. If only Elisha Gray had, written a book on procrastination, it would be, one of the best sellers. Elisha conceived the idea of inventing a telephone first before Alexander Grahambell. Gray worked on his idea but presented his work for patenting so late(due to procrastination, I guess). That the Scottish, Grahambell had been given the patent right, as the inventor of Telephone before gray's arrival .. What's that idea you took your time ruminating about in 2016, that you never implemented? don't you think time is going? The time to implement is NOW! I mean NOW! He who thinks but doesn't act falls into the trap of laziness. As we go into the new year, don't wait till that thing happens, make it happen! . PS: i want to appreciate everyone here, who, often take their time to stop by, to read my posts, like, comment, share and send in messages encouraging me to do more. I say thank you all for making my 2016 glorious. I owe you all my heartfelt gratitude. .. Happy new year in advance. PARETO JAGABAN |
Education / Open Letter To Fellow Polytechnic Students. . by ADAMS0129(m): 10:32pm On Dec 22, 2016 |
OPEN LETTER TO FELLOW POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS. . Dear Fellow Polites, I understand the kind of discrimination we experience in the labour market/ Value market, but we just have to 'bear' it. I know it's not the plan of many of us to be a polytechnic student/graduate, but in one way or the other we find ourself in the setting. A wise crack says "Ibi ori da ni si la ngbe" nothing can change this. I wasn't surprised, with the kind of jubilation l saw when the news was flying everywhere, that the dichotomy between university certificate and polytechnic certificate has been taken care of. I watch fellow polites, broadcast and re-broadcast the soul thrilling news. Until weeks after, when a government spokesman denied the news. Even though, not many will agree with me at first, that the news was a blue sky news. meaning "it's nice and flowery but doesn't move anything". Now, I am justified. Since the denial news came up, we've all gone back to the 'sorry, room.' Well, I have written this open letter to call our attention to some things. Firstly, who is discriminating who? It's only an asinine person that will leave value for something else. Not even in this era of Paradigmal shift in education. where, education is now beyond grade/institution. Well, I know, it may take a bit of intestinal fortitude to admit, to ourself, that when we make ourself relevant, no one will dare to discriminate/screen us out. School was created as a result of ignorance, yet, it's surprising that some people in the system are still ignorant of some certain truth. My point, not all, in the school system are literates. Some, carry discrimination for head like Olamide put rap for head. . Secondly, I don't know if you know that we must leave the beaten track of school occasionally, to dive into the woods of education, then, I am certain we will see something never seen. Your certificate is just a paper work, it will be perilous in this age, to brag about a certificate without mental uprightness. Yes, it's possible, because we still have certified illiterates. The time we use thinking about the discrimination, we can use that time to develop ourself, instead of crying over an educational system of a country that's known to be sclerotic. The system characterized, by preparing her student for only the classroom world and not the real world, should not make us lose our esteem and confidence. Finally, we know we live in a world, where people want to know you by what you have done/you're doing. Why don't you do the unimaginable. When you begin to do the unimaginable, people will forget about your certificate, institution and what you studied. We are in the 21st century where different skills are needed to thrive as a student, sadly, the system have no time teaching these skills. The time used, thinking discrimination can be used developing capacities. . Stand up on your feet and prove your worth every where you find yourself. I am not saying you shouldn't pursue further qualifications, please do, but don't be weighed down with what you see or hear everyday. Strive to be relevant! . Remember, certificate without 'sensificate' is nonsense! . Yours Faithfully Pareto jagaban |
Education / Fishes Don't Climb Trees by ADAMS0129(m): 10:22pm On Dec 22, 2016 |
FISHES DON'T CLIMB TREES. There's this student of mine I love so much. She's got what makes a student of this century complete. On several occasion she has represented Lagos state either in a debate or a quiz competition. Her speech control and charisma/ insight makes her an exceptional public speaker. She's caught the revelation of her future and have started working relentlessly in that light. Some days back, she complained bitterly on how her mother wants her to study a course by force. Left for her, she has another course of interest, where her passion is, than what are mother wanted her to study. her mother insists she study, a particular course because it's 'lucrativeness.' -------------------- Dear parents, Gone are the days you force a career on a child, because you want to boost your ego in the society as the mother/father of a Lawyer, Engineer, Doctor et al. Though, it's your duty to guide a child aright and make sure he/she gets the best out of life, but it's an error to force a child to a career he/she doesn't have passion for. If a child, shares his/her dream, it's pertinent for the parent to start investing on that child in that light. It's wickedness, forcing FISHES TO CLIMB TREES, let the fishes swim comfortably in water rather than trying to force them climb trees they can't climb. A child really knows where his/her heart lies. Stop forcing a career on a child. Pareto jagaban |
Romance / Women,money And Fame by ADAMS0129(m): 12:21pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
*Women, Money And Fame* I know almost every woman will wish to be like Zarah Buhari e.g Beautiful, Exposed, Educated, Daughter of Mr President, married to the son of a multi- millionaire, Young, Handsome and Exposed. But, let's not forget in 2004, IBB got married to Rahama Indimi, also daughter of Atiku Abubakar got married to son of Indimi, in 2014 daughter of Indimi also got married to the son of a billionaire business tycoon Dantata and recently another son of Indimi got married to daughter of Sarkin Zaria with a sum of 12million paid as bride price. Where are they now No one cares!!! Life goes on.... River Niger will still flow and the Sun will still rise from the West and set in the East. Nothing lasts *FOREVER* But a lot young girls will forget *MARRIAGE* is not about the expenses but the *BLESSINGS* Alot of women married their husbands as not knowing they will become rich or a Public Figure. Some of them have become First Ladies without planning or wishing to be one, likewise others gave birth to Public Figures. Life is not about the *BEGINNING* but the *ENDING.* _*Never Run Faster Than Your Shadow! Relax You Have No Idea What God Has In Store*_ *```pareto jagaban```* |
