Please what could be the possible problem with my laptop? It's a HP ElItebook 840 g4 that suddenly refused to display anything on the screen or rather boot well.

When i power on, the fan blows, the caplock and number lock keys blinks white LED light 5 times and then stop blinking, nothing shows on screen like it's failing to boot. I'm told the screen is not the problem.

Took it to a engineer who said it could be BIOS issue and flashed the BIOS but problem remained. At some point during the checks, it booted up well once and went dead again after a little while.

Next, he now said it's the IC and up till now cannot find a matching IC to replace it with. He also said may be I should buy another motherboard if I can afford it.

Do you think my laptop still has a chance of being fixed? Is it something you can do? If yes, how can I locate you in Lagos?
