Person make APC Ministerial list, and e go clean?

That should be 1 out of 100.
Is it really about APC or individuals, parties don't make people but the other way round.
The earlier we agree that no politician is clean, the better for us. We can only have better ones but never a perfect one.

It's that Tunde Sabiu I even want to see answering EFCC calls though I know nothing will come out of that.
Meanwhile Amosun was not that powerful during Buhari Era even his anointed candidate didn't win and he neither influenced any vote nor won any south western states for APC,he was only able to get a close to Buhari all because they were formally in another party together.

Meanwhile, was Amaechi at any time a Senator?

nairamaniac:

So EFCC should wait, fold their hands and give Dangote the space to arrange his books to be cosmetically perfect?

So you realise that Emiefiele in custody alone must have given statements that roped in some companies (maybe including Dangote)

Once a suspect is arrested and his arrest implicated someone else, the law anywhere has the right to either arrest that 2nd party suspect or activate a sting-operation on that company.

Perfect example; armed robbers comes to your house, steals all your money and rapes all members of your family.
The armed robbers are arrested by you.

While the robbers are with you in the stations, they implicate some insiders of your family.

Would you sit down in that station with the police men and send messages across to the betraying-family members of yours, to *bring their statement of accounts within 2months to show proofs of moneys they have made legitimately?

You people don't know the magnitude of damage emifiele in connivance with people like Dangote has done in this country.
You and I know that EFCC has not been professional most times in their conduct and activities.
I'm not disputing the fact that there might have been shady businesses underground but EFCC modus operandi has always been initial gra gra and at the end of the day, nothing will happen.

Hehehe.

Dangote group must be very shocked by the move EFCC took, because they have always enjoyed a privileged, favoured and over pampered position by successive governments.

They should come clean with their records. The era of stiffening other people business to give other people undue advantage is coming to an end.

Let every player be given equal room for development.
As much as Dangote may be shady with this forex brouhaha,EFCC should stop their old ways of doing things.

You requested for information spanning 10 years and the first batch had been presented to you while not wait for them to send in all their information then confront them with your own investigation.
I still remember what Olukoyede (their Chairman) said during the Senate screening but he's doing the opposite now.
Enough of media trial, get your evidences, wait for them to turn in their information then confront them with what you have.

I blame the Nigeria government though.
Why on earth would you blame Nigeria government?
Would you also blame the Sierra Leonan government then blame South Africa and every other African and European countries that have taken note of all our activities and in return dent our images
This thing is borne out of greed and selfishness of our people.
They don't care even if the whole world collapse as long as they make money.
Bro, we may have issues with our government but definitely not their fault.

Politics / NERC: We Have Not Approved Any New Electricity Tariff For Discos by Addme: 3:44am On Jan 02
Previous thread
https://www.nairaland.com/7955299/more-hardship-looms-nigerians-discos

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) says it has not issued any directive on the increase of electricity tariff from January 1, 2023.

Media reports had claimed that the commission finalised plans to increase the electricity tariff.

The reports also noted that electricity distribution companies (DisCos) would soon inform customers about the development.

Refuting the claims, Usman Abba Arabi, NERC’s spokesperson, told TheCable that the commission has not approved a new electricity tariff.

The Commission (NERC) has not approved any new electricity tariffs for any of the electricity distribution companies within the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry,” he said.

“No new electricity tariff has been approved. Nigerians should ignore any news reports about new electricity tariff coming up on the 1st January 2024.”

In June 2023, the federal government had hinted at removing the N50 billion monthly electricity subsidy in the sector owing to the revenue shortfalls.

However, in November 2023, Adebayo Adelabu, minister of power, said President Bola Tinubu stopped the increase in electricity tariff, insisting on the payment of subsidy on power consumed in the country.

In its third-quarter (Q3) report, NERC had said the government incurred a subsidy obligation of N204.59 billion during the period.

The report noted that the subsidy expenses were incurred due to the lack of cost-reflective tariffs across all DisCos.
