I knew about the test in school, I did a course on it. I asked the hospital (National Hospital Abuja) if they run the test they said yes its free. I got the result after 3 days. This is the final confirmatory test for HIV.

I will advise you take down your account number you only advertising and telling the world you are positive , or don't you mind people who knows you finding out.

maybe I should have used ARS symptoms. well I still stand that 6months should be recommended world wide.

bros. just check more sights. even when I went to the hospital to do at 3 months mark then. the nurse asked if I was on PEP after my exposre I should check in 6 months

If people have changed results way after 3months or even 6months with no proper explanation, they definitely had another exposure that caused the change. They won't include that in their stories though.

I know what I'm saying Sir. A changed result after 3months is relatively rare.

so a whole lot of them who had sero conversion illness and tested at three months mark yet negative, and then turned positive are ignorant abi. you say its rare that means it happens. my issue is the doctors always make it look likee it never happens or its 1 in 100 but thats not the case.

Those having a changed result after 3months would probably have been battling some other terminal illness which is said to alter HIV results if they tested at that time.

Only symptoms can delay for that long, even years. Some people don't even develop symptoms till after 2years and above. That's why CDC adviced people get tested every 3months and not wait to see symptoms cos most times, symptoms delay for a very long while due to some factors.

But for a test result, after been tested negative within the normal 3months to change to positive after 6months, something must definitely have been seriously wrong with that person before hand.

HIV doesn't stay hidden in the body like that. Its a very difficult disease to catch and quite quick to diagnose.

see leave all this CDC thing. visit some sites and HIV people telling their stories. Some turn positive way after 3months. with no proper explanation. not some a lot of them. well even general hospitals and labs here will always tell you to check after 6months if they think you had a risk. you seem to have researched a lot. I like it

Oga there are a lot of exceptions. take what that guy told you. he's right . Those with poor immune, used pep(hope you know what this is)on cancer therapy or IVR drug users are advised to check after 6months

the normal finger prick own will detect it if the virus is has multiplied enough in your blood before the antibodies can react with the antigen on the strip, but this method can detect it as early as 48 hours after exposure hence reducing the risk of having it for long before detecting.

thanks for educating me. so you just went there and they decided to use this on you instead of the normal anti body test and how long did it take before you got the results

If at week8 you still test negative, your result is likely not to change.

2months is enough time for the body to develop enough antibodies for the virus to be detected by any test.

If I were you, I'd stop worrying.

I keep on telling people leave that 8weeks crap. to completely rule it out test as 6months. I still don't know why CDC still keeps it at 3months. with so many people testing positive beyond it

Can you kindly explain it to me bro. I will really appreciate It. Which one is antigen. I did a test at week 3 to week 8. Did 3 tests that blood was drawn from my vein in week 3, 6 and 8.... Did finger prick one in week 4 alere finger prick, week 5 alere and week 7 unigold. I have a total of 8 test within 8 weeks of exposure.

you going down the lane i went through. antigen test checks for antigen and antibodies. with window period of 60days or so. I cant recall try looking it up online. its 8k when I did it back then.

Meaning if he met her on 2go it must have been long ago he found out he’s positive 4 years maybe . Yet another troll. Trying to solicite for help and funds.

bro I have mad malaria and fever with damn sore throat. Treated the malaria for It to come back 3 weeks later with another strong one. With white tongue and red spots on tongue. I witness the nodes around my groin just one and It went away after a week

what part of the groin. public region part or the leg area. nodes enlarge on its on sometimes.

I have done the test at week 8 negative and this is week 9 past so I wanna retest. I hardly sleep since my exposure. Instead of washing my hand after removing CD I used It to rub my dick and wash with water

this is no risk. its no risk just move on with your life. you just worried over nothing. if this was your only exposure its no risk. I have had similar scare with worst symptipms than all you pointed out only to spend more than 50k on test. this was years ago.

blood from anywhere can detect it, go to another hospital and do the test, that symptoms can be for another viral infection not really HIV, so be calm as HIV is even not a risk because I am there man , go for other test like hepatitis, A,B and C .

bro what you having is anxiety. if you really scared just wait 3months. don't start comparing when others tested positive so as to give yourself hope. some do at week 12. few at week24. even beyond at times. though rare. even if you test negative at month 4 you will still be scared. its a good thing you are healthy so save your money and wait till month 6.
