Nobody, not even the doer The dread journey of the baby On delivery almost saw her dead Huu! Haa! Haa! so the cry goes Inevitable pain in labourroom is liken to hell Does her work stop after this? Who will nurse the born baby? Who will wean him day and night? The cries at midnight When everybody dosed off She opens her eyes wide Dening herself the sweet nightsleep What matters to her is the wellbeing of her baby Six month of weaning A year plus of hardwork Can she stop when the child is old? She will care for him wholeheartedly Woman! Woman! Woman! A womanhood. |
