Erstwhile Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Sunday, joined millions of Nigerians home and abroad, to felicitate with former President Goodluck Jonathan on his 59th Birthday, saying, “Had it not been for that single and historic decision that you made to concede the election last year and congratulate your opponent, Nigeria would have been plunged into a cauldron of fire and the greatest and most bloody civil war that the world has ever known.” Jonathan Jonathan In a congratulatory message on his Facebook page, Sunday, Fani-Kayode said: “Happy 59th birthday to President Goodluck Jonathan, a man of honour and peace and one that has brought so much joy and hope to millions. “You have proved to the world that African leaders can be competent, kind, gentle, humane and selfless. You have everything to be proud of and much still lies ahead for you in the affairs of our nation. “You are the light amidst the darkness: a man that was prepared to let go of power whilst others crave for it, abuse it and are obsessed with it. Had it not been for that single and historic decision that you made to concede the election last year and congratulate your opponent, Nigeria would have been plunged into a cauldron of fire and the greatest and most bloody civil war that the world has ever known.” “You let go not because you lost but because you wanted to deny those that have been afflicted with an insatiable blood lust and that take delight in carnage and violence the opportunity to unleash hell on Nigeria and slaughter millions of innocent souls. “Instead of thanking you, those same forces have repaid your good with evil. Yet, God will judge them at the appointed time and He will reward you for your love, warmth, kindness, gentle nature and selflessness. “Nigeria, nay Africa and indeed the entire world, will never forget you and though we are suffering the most barbaric and relentless form of persecution today, those of us that lined up behind you during the struggle for power last year are still very proud of you. “Congratulations and many happy returns to you Mr. President. Keep shining and keep smiling because despite all we see today the future is still great and bright. For you it is not yet over. Have a great day.”

Akur – President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, called for support for the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nov. 26 gubernatorial election in Ondo State. Buhari made this call stated at the Democracy Park, Akure, during the party’s mega campaign rally. “I am pleased with the Sept. 3 APC primary election that presented Rotimi Akeredolu as our party’s candidate. “We are here to show our support for Akeredolu and I am proud of APC and Akeredolu and God willing, he is going to be the winner of the forthcoming election. ” Talk to your colleagues, friends and family that there is no turning back,” he said. Also speaking, the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Oyige-Oyegun, said that the presence of the entire family of APC was highly significant. Issac Kekemeke, the state chairman of APC, expressed optimism that APC would take over the state and join the the mainstream politics of the centre. ELDER statesman and first republic Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi is unhappy with Igbo for constantly bemoaning their situation in Nigeria, telling them to stop lamenting their loss of political power in the country because they could still conquer with what they have. Speaking at a political round-table organized by the Movement for Greater Anambra State, MOFGAS, in Awka, Amaechi urged them to strive to conquer economic and technical power since the hallmark of every government was to effect development to make life better for the people. Amaechi Amaechi Though Amaechi acknowledged the neglect of Igbo nation, which he said, contributed immensely towards independence and economic growth of the country, he argued that rather than bemoan their situation, Igbo people should exploit their ingenuity by using their technical and business acumen to develop their land. Giving example with the industrial town of Nnewi, the elder statesman observed that the people of the area have been investing at home, developing their town and providing employment for their people. Chairman of Presidents of Ohaneze in the Igbo –speaking states of the country, Dr. Chris Eluemuno agreed with Amaechi, insisting that Igbo did not belong to the scheme of things in Nigeria, arguing that until they established a political party that they could call their own, they would remain a toy in the hands of the rest of the people of the country. In his speech, the chairman of MOFGAS, Chief Shedrack Anakwue said the group’s desire was to seek for a new coalition that would produce a governor after the heart of the people during the next dispensation. According to him, the body is made up of committed Anambra people cutting across the 21 local government areas with a vision and desire to facilitate and engender good governance in the state. He said: “What we have in mind is a government that will be devoid of impunity, nepotism, denominational discrimination and all the divisive tendencies that are capable of tearing us apart. Rather, we desire a governor that will unite us as a people with common goal”. Also contributing, a former governorship aspirant in the state, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu said Anambra was tired of slogans, adding that ‘now is time to action’. According to him, a leader must be capable of mobilizing the people, creating jobs, judiciously mobilizing state resources and be held accountable at the end of his tenure. Governor Willie Obiano, Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, APC chieftain, Chief George Moghalu and leader of PPA in the state, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo were represented at the ceremony, while former Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, among others, attended. EVANGELISM A WAY OF THANKSGIVING John 4: 1-45 Its another first Sunday in a new month; the month of November. A November to remember for Good. Customary to RCCG tradition every Sunday is a thanksgiving day, It is of course important to give thanks to the almighty God for the past months and past years and acknowledge the fact that he can do better in the new month. Thanksgiving is a way of showing appreciation for what God has done. Jesus Christ while on earth before performing Miracles always gave thanks. There are several ways to give thanks to God some include Singing , Dancing, Giving, Praying, Evangelism etc. Evangelism can be one of the ways to give thanks. The Samaritan woman in John : 1-45, gave thanks to Jesus by going into the city to call men unto Jesus. A major way to show gratitude to God for saving our souls is by evangelizing to others. Salvation is the greatest miracle that any man can experience and a way of showing thanks for salvation is by evangelizing http://adebisiseun15..com.ng/

BUILDING YOUR FAMILY IN GODS PATTERN Gen 2: 18-25 Gen 1:27 Marriage is Gods Idea. It wasn’t Adam complaint or advice. God instituted the concept of Helper (EVE). There are characters God is expecting to build a family in Gods way. God is a God of Purpose. One purpose of marriage in “oneness”. To provide Help and avoid Loneliness. A) TYPES OF MEN/HUSBANDS i) Bachelor Husband: Though they are married yet they are doing things ON THEIR OWN. They don’t carry their wife along in what they do Gen 2: 25 ii) Acidic Husband: They are HOT-TEMPERED. They boil like acids mixed with water. They are always violent and angry. They believe their idea is the best. They dominate wrongly in the House. iii) Slave Husband:- they want their wives to treat them Like KINGS but they treat them like slaves. A woman is a man with a womb. She is supposed to be like a right hand partner. iv) General Husband:- They are distributors. They belong to everybody and anybody. They have “wives” everywhere they go to. Husbands for ALL. v) Dry Husbands:- Always moody and Complaining. They are STINGY. They don’t put smiles on the face of their wives some even delight in seeing their wives CRYING. vi) Panadol Husbands: They use their wives to SOLVE PROBLEMS. It’s only when there are in need or in a bad situation they remember they have a wife. vii) Parasite Husbands: They are very LAZY; they only love their wives to get something from them especially when the wife is a bit rich viii) Baby Husbands & Mummy Boy: They can’t take decisions on their own without consulting their parents. When there are misunderstandings in the home, they run to their parents ix) Visiting Husbands: They are not always at home. They are constantly travelling from one place to another and never actually take time to take care of their wives and children. x) Caring Husbands: They is the type of Husbands God wants us to be. They don’t like to see their wives or children unhappy. They take care of and comfort the family. B) Types of Wives i) Disrespectful wives: It is not because of the age difference between a woman and her husband that she respect her husband but because God has made him your husband you should respect him. Disrespectful wives will never kneel down to greet their husbands. They will say even if I want to he won’t even allow me. How will I kneel down when he is not my Father? ii) Acidic Wives: Hot tempered, Angry and violent wives. They get annoyed at little things. An acidic wife will always make the house uncomfortable and most times the husband will be forced out of the Home iii) Parasite Wives: They are very Lazy. The only time they are happy or smile is when the husband gives her house allowance or shopping allowance and when he gets her a gift or takes her on a treat iv) Dry Wife: Always moody and Complaining. They are STINGY. They don’t put smiles on the face of their husbands and children. v) Panadol Wife: They use their family to SOLVE PROBLEMS. It’s only when there are in need or in a bad situation they remember they have a family. vi) General Wife: They are distributors. They belong to everybody and anybody vii) Proud Wife viii) Poisonous wife: They gradually kill other husbands with their behaviour and attitudes. They are wicked and intentionally harm their husbands. These wives can kill because of properties and money. ix) Wise Wife: One that carefully builds her home with wisdom. She consciously prays and makes efforts to make sure the home is growing in peace and love x) Caring Wife: They is the type of wives God wants us to be. They don’t like to see their husbands or children unhappy. They take care of and comfort the family. SINGLES CORNER Things Single sisters say that may chase away their Divine Husbands i) The am-engaged Sister: They always tell brothers that they are engaged even when sometimes they aren’t. They usually “size-up” the brother and conclude he’s not up to their standards and hence they say they are engaged ii) The am not ready for Marriage challenge sister: they always say they are still busy with their lives and not ready for relationships until they get too old and potential suitors have left them for better people. You Can Start Anyhow But Don’t End Anyhow iii) The I cant let any man push me around sister: They don’t want to be controlled by any man they are usually proud and have very high standards Brothers to Avoid - Try and Error Brothers: They want to test drive with you and will definitely end up dumping you - Lazy Brothers: No future plans and ambitions they never want to work for them selves always relying on uncles friends and parents for survival - Time wasting Brothers: They are not ready for serious commitments all they want to do is to have fun and experience what it feels like to be in relationships http://adebisiseun15..com.ng/ |
