I would say the plane was shot down. It was in enemy territory where planes are targeted by the Houthis. Friendly fire with fighter jets are most likely to occur during air combats but not during routine flights when there are no enemy jets. Why would one shoot at another jet when you know only your jets are in the sky ...are in contact with them and know their location? Maybe you can explain.
