eleshinleekan: **********TO GOD BE THE GLORY*************
Interview experience.....
After some delays,we finally made our way to d interview hall, pay d visa fee, submission of docz..........
my daughter was eating her biscuit when our number finally buzzd...

Co; *to my daughter - hey, u want to give me some (biscuits) ?
Me..; was praying inside for her to say yes or good afternoon but my daughter was jus staring at him and finally said- your window is not open...your window is not open...lol.
....
Co; are u A.B.C.
Me; yes. I am A,this is B,and here is C. *swearing...*fingerprint... Co; ur highest qualificatn.
Me; bla...
Co; when did u finish ?
Me; bla...
Co; how many exams did u write? Me;bla... Co;How old is ur daughter? Wifey; *not want to be left out smiley. Bla...
Co; was she born through caesarian ?
Me; *a little surprised. Bla...
Co; u r so so age ?
Me; yes.
Co; you look older than ur age, just like myself.
#we both smiled. Co; where did u play d lottery
Me;@ a cafe next street to ours
Co;how much did they collect?
Me;btw N700-N1,000 we paid for d passport photo and airtime.
Co; have u played Visa lottery before?
Me; yes but I don't always bother to check d result.
**off interview(As a matter of fact,it was a man dat assisted us to play in his cafe that was looking up and down for me to tell me I won . He's not an agent o bcoz he didn't collect extra kobo from me)*
Co; was nodding...typed...circled. Okay, pick ur visa at......greencard........... Me;grabbed wifey nd kissed her on d forehead wink

Its all GOD! I only put in my effort and HE crowned it all.
*Special thanks to ALL Nairalanders and a special shout out to the brain behind Nairaland *Respect! GOD Bless America for the opportunity and GOD Bless Nigeria and help us attain our full potential-Amen.

#Observations and Advice- I discovered we carried d biggest bag among all, fully loaded with supporting documents ofcourse but after submitting d necessary docz, nothing was requested from us again. Not even our Photo album *Note -this doesn't mean people shouldn't go with necessary supporting docz, cases differ...The most important thing is to (1) Acknowledge GOD. None of us selected him/herself,Na GOD do am. (2)Prepare adequately *there is nothing like 'over-preparation'. (3) be cordial with pple in d interview hall and compose urself very well *couples should chat a lot while waiting for their turn nd try to crack jokes to ease tension. (4)Look around briefly and learn quickly.*no need to dey change seat. (5) if one of the couple is asked to go and sit while they interview d other d one being interviewed dnt need to repeat d question or shout so the other can hear. (6)The Co will only ask u what they expect u to know so jus be calm and answer as if u r chatting with a friend. No be JAMB. Lol

Met with @Lakesyd family inside d interview hall.I feel sorry for their denial but GOD knows best and he certainly know what is best for them. Wishing @Lakesyd family all the best.

Success to all looking forward to their chat with d CO by GOD's grace,Amen. GOD that counted myself and family among the permanent winners will do it for you all,Amen! Blesss!!!
Congratulations to you the Horse Man, go leave your America dream .. I am so much happy for you ooo ...

StSteven: boss... pls did u contact Ddream77 recently? he PM me over a week now and i replied but never got respond from him since then. hope u hear from him
Good day brother.... Ddream77 is actually not very happy right now with the situation of his visa status.. he has been asking questions on VO's thread about when the Administration processing of his Visa will be over and grant him visa approved.

But the responds he receives from LagosIV@state.gov giving him a doubtful mind if they will sort his case and complete Administration Processing and grant his visa approved before the end of 30th September the fiscal year.

Lets hope everything will workout for him before the aforementioned date

maikeal: Greeting to you all... I'm happy to hear from you guys and to see that the good work of the thread has not stopped.. Just to add a few info that you guys may need..

1. Pls if you travelling, go to market and get a good, thick jacket that u'll use for your trip especially if you have long stop-overs, and if you are not used to extreme cold like me.. Cos i was almost frozen at morroco and moreover the plane is always cold so if u like urself, better carry one sweet jacket..(i swear,,you will thank me later)

2. It doesnt really matter the bank u are using to pay for ur greencard.. I used Enterprise Bank and it was awesome.. So any bank is good as long as: A. Its mastercard and B. It has been activated for internet banking...

3. When paying ur Greencard fee,the 3-digit number at the back of ur ATM card is ur pin.. Dont even think about using ur normal 4-digits ATM withdrawal pin cos it wont work..

4. At POE i wasnt asked to switch my phone on, my bag wasnt searched at all and i wasnt asked any questions at all... I guess i GOT REALLY LUCKY because i saw the way a lot of people were scruntinized and searched thoroughly, how their foods and valuables were destroyed, how they asked them to switch on their phones and how so many phones and gadjets were destroyed too because they weren't able to turn it on, probably because their batteries died on the way to U.S, so save ur battery, 1 bar wont hurt a fly!

5. According to the newyork 103.5 ktu fm's news i heard that countries that posses the EBOLA disease WILL be barred from entering the U.S until the disease is cured permanently, as a measure to prevent the disease from spreading... The law has NOT yet been pass down or decided yet.. So ur prayers will go a long way for those who aren't yet in the U.S...

I thought it would be nice to say 'hi' after a while now, and i have to confess that i miss you all and that every nerve in my body cant wait to see all of You in the U.S soon smiley... Adeboy,Armba,Chijen, kaydaddy, lakesideforchrist, jehovahfavour, phazika and all the founding members (i cant remember all your names) HOPE you all have not forgotten me sha?? smiley.. For your sake u berra dont forget me because i still have my KOBOKO.
Welcome back my brother... I really appreciate the information u passed to us... It goes a long way.. Thank you and God bless you richly..

about the Ebola Virus.. We still praying and I believe it will never be out of control...

YES the exchange rate is still 170 to 1 dollar and that is equal to 56,100.

Yes there is a hotel at Obalande that is more cheaper even below your 6,500... let say 5,000..

the name of the hotel is Famous Guest House, Odo Street after UBA at Obalende

YES ... they are very reliable, few members travel wit Qatar Airline and gives us Gud reply (experience) about their services.

No delay in their timing both wit their connection flight.

Qatar is more cheaper wen booked ahead (Booking now against d month of October, November, December...) than to book flight within the range of 2-4 weeks of takeoff, it is highly expensive in dis case

Timika: Please house does anyone know why people who went to Q-life family clinic are asked to come back for a second dose of vaccination, while those that went to children practice are not. Please how necessary is this second dose and is there any check at the point of exit or entry with regards to this second dose of vaccine? Looking at the fact that this second dose attracts an additional 16k ?
StSteven: Oh really... was planning to have our medical over there. someone should say somtin pls
Gud evening. Pls be calm about dis

I can't say precisely the reason Children's Practice never ask to come back for some vaccines and likewise dat of Q-life dat says some vaccines expire after some days and dat, one should come back for it.

But I have come to get the fact dat it is Not compulsory you go back to Q-life hospital to take d vaccines you were ask to come back for, u can do dat at any Private or General hospital and dat will reduce the prices of each vaccines. Just ensure you take your vaccination record sheet to the hospital so as for dem to update it.

Note: it is necessary you take the expire vaccines BUT NOT compulsory as it will not affect you at The Point of Entry ONLY if your Visa expired before getting to P.O.E. ....... Remember dat ur Visa expiration date is equal to your Medical expiration date

@StSteven... you can had your medical there, Nothing to worry about.

VisaOfficer: Thank you sir! Safe travels. I expect to hear of great successes from you and your future family over there!

I'm going to hassle you one more time, because I can. grin I feel a sudden urge to remind everyone that American culture has a weird fixation with youth and beauty, and everyone firmly believes that the words "old" and "elderly" only apply to people at least 15 years older than they themselves are. Even if they're 70, in their hearts they will believe that only 85-year-olds are old. Even when it's patently untrue, you may want to practice looking surprised when someone (male or female) tells you their age, and saying "I never would have guessed, you look so much younger!"

Along the same lines, never ever tell anyone that they have gained weight, and NEVER ask a woman if she is pregnant, even if she is visibly giving birth right that moment.

Trust me. cool
Waooo, grin grin, I can't imaging I personally made you open to us publicly some Foreign (United States) Etiquette, I so much enjoy and learn a lot from this. This will go along way adding to my success in United state of America as you wishes

Am sorry, am NEITHER Cute2014 (that speaks plentiful grin grammars maybe because she is a Medical Practioner cheesy) NOR Justwise (that talks so short and professional maybe because he is the moderator smiley).

Nevertheless, I will say thank you very much madam and am hoping to see/host you in our ThanksGivingDay that comes up NOVEMBER in America grin grin ......... I TRUST YOU

VisaOfficer: For your situational awareness. Please note that the names below are only a few of the Diversity Visa imposters who were unfortunately detained by Nigeria's Police Special Fraud Unit in July....

Visa applicant lands in police net after boyfriend helped forge visas

July 26, 2014 by Kunle Falayi

Some visa applicants nabbed at the US Consulate-General in the month of July have been handed over to the Police Special Fraud Unit in Lagos for prosecution.

According to SFU’s spokesperson, Ngozi Nsitume, a petition from the US Consulate Lagos on July 9, 2014, alleged that one Adegbola Esther appeared at US. Consulate-General for a Non-Immigrant Visa Interview with forged Canadian Turkish and Angolan visas showing entry and exit stamps.

But investigation was said to have revealed that the visas were forged by Esther’s boyfriend, one Oloni Olawale, after she paid him N100,000 for the three fake visa, to facilitate approval of her US visa application.

In another case, the US Consulate-General alleged that on July 10, 2014, another applicant, Akinlade Olugbenga, appeared for a US Immigrant Visa interview with fake name – Awoleye Tope, an individual said to have won a visa lottery.

“The suspect knowingly and fraudulently appeared at the US Embassy to steal the identity of the real winner of the diversity visa lottery,” the statement said.

A day after Olugbenga was nabbed at the embassy, another applicant, Adewole Fatimah whose real name was Adeniyi Motunrayo, was alleged to have appeared at the embassy with one Adewole Oluwaseun for a diversity visa interview. Motunrayo was said to have attempted to steal the identity of the real winner of the diversity visa lottery.

It was the same case of identity theft against applicant Omoyemi Olaiya, whose real name is Samuel Ojo and Ibenne Nkem whose real name is Ogundipe Emmanuel.

Like a harvest of fraudulent applicants, the SFU said one Babatunde Abiola and Babatunde Adenike was also nabbed for presenting forged bio-data, wedding pictures, marriage certificate and fake result to the embassy even though their real names are Oguntimehin Olanike and Aderoju Eunice.

Nsitume said, “One Aderoju Qasim and Aderoju Eunice presented forged bio-data and fake documents to the US Embassy for immigrant visas. Their real names are Oyewole Tunde and Abelese Olayinka. Both suspects fraudulently appeared at the embassy to steal the identity of the real winners of a diversity visa lottery.

“In this same month, one Christiana Omagu, a female Nigerian–American citizen, appeared before the US Consulate General to process a US passport for a male child. Investigation revealed that the suspect and her husband, Donald Omagu, were not the parents of the child, but only needed the passport to traffic the child to US.

“Finally on July 17, 2014, one Idrisu Martins, an impostor appeared at the embassy for an immigrant visa but investigation revealed that he was not the winner of the diversity visa lottery he appeared to claim.

“Investigation is on-going on these individuals. All suspects would be charged to court soon to serve as a deterrent to other intending visa fraudsters.”

Great News!!!
Like have said earlier during my Interview experience July 17, I already detected that he is NOT real, he is an imposter and I told him he will be easily detected.

while am reading this, I seriously felt so bad and couldn't imagine someone accepting to be another person embarassed embarassed I can't just comprehend at all, The Fraud stars are those making the Interview a hell to Young real couple and I felt so pity for them, I already knew of a Young couple that were denied Visa (based on saying their marriage is Not real) on the 16th of July and it was very painful. But nevertheless I still give thanks to God for revealing the imitation.

I wonder if Nigerian's will be allow to participate in the DV programe anymore even if we have cover up the reason for our ineligibility, but i hope not undecided

congratulations to those that have gotten their VISAS, and for those yet to be interview I pray you have successful chat (only if you are genuine)

@ All, Please lets remember our usual 1st day of the month Fasting and prayer (Tomorrow) for our success on this thread. The fact that we have gotten our Visa approved will never allow us abandon the Thread. God Bless us all

phatdon4u: pls house! How important is the second vaccination? Any implication at the point of entry?
I av realize now dat it was only those that did their medical @Q-life Clinic that was told to come for another 2 - 3 Vaccines after few weeks of the first one. Those that did theirs @Children practice were never told such.

Nevertheless, Its not going be an issue at the POE if u didn't take the subsequent, except if your medical expire. But since is not going to be up to 10k, I will suggest u go for it as we don't know exactly wat they might developed at the point of entry.

olusean: I send my form to kcc just 3 weeks ago How my days will it takes to be called for interview
It takes 60 days for KCC to process your case, but because we are almost getting to the end of fiscal year .. so they are working hard to get everyone interviewed.

Thus, I will advise you to be constantly checking ur 2NL (Appointment Letter) through d entrant www.dvlottery.state.gov/esc starting from August 1st

Best!
