And what if they ask me why didn't my father gave me money before, what will i tell them? and again is it necessary that they will ask me what my father did to provide the money with documentation?

I applied for a student visa in which I used my Uncle as my sponsor. Some days later, see below the message I received from the embassy.


"". Dear Sir,

The Hungarian Immigration Office ask for
additional documents. I attached the letter.

I am calling your attention, that you have to submit the following additional documents in order to support your application.

Please attach your personal fresh bank statement
from the last 6 month, according to the Hungarian laws, the uncle is not a family member.

Please scan and send the document by email to
the Embassy.

Note that, I am a student going for Bachelor program and I don't work yet, so i don't have money in my personal account. What can I do in this situation? Since their laws don't regard an Uncle as a family member, is it advisable to use my parent account? Though the parent account is not as strong as my Uncle's account and that's why I didn't use my parent account before.

I guess you re lucky that they even sent you an email like this. they didnt send me any email like this, and i was denied due to this fact.

@adeh2009 you may be asked why you did not use your parent the first time and what do they do to be able to finance that sum for you.

It's worth trying, just prepare a convincing answer to every question possible and supporting documents. And I'm more into @moneybag100 proposal as to keep your or your parent's account running with a lot of money for a few months and then go for February intake.

All in all it's your decision, do what's best for you and i wish you the best of luck bro

Still the same as money laundering because they will think they only did it for visa purpose and they could get the money back from you after they issued you visa.
They only thing you can do it to start running your account against february intake..u still have like 5 months.

Brother i have to give it a trail. one of my friends did it and was issued visa. He sponsored himself! his mum, dad and brothers deposited about 3 million to his personal account

Secondly i have many other transactions which i have done with my account in the past

I will give it a trial!

@adeh2009 very sorry to hear your experiencem tho you should look for other options if you can make right that sponsorship issue and apply maybe in Poland or Romania, or some other country. I have a friend who was denied for poland last year for the same reason(uncle sponsor) but got hungary visa a few months later using her parents as sponsors. Good luck anyway

I plan to use my self as sponsor, get funds from my uncle and my other family members and deposit it to my personal account upto 4 million Naira. then with a statement that the funds was given to me by my father, mother for my education Abroad

N:B my parents has very low inflow of transactions in there statements so i cant risk to use it, i know i will be refused by it

My School insists i must get the VISA, they went and confirm my visa denial at the immigration office in their city and they told them i cant still re-apply. My program co-ordinator is pressuring me to re-apply with my parents account that just 1.5 million in balance will do. that am his best excellent student, and wishes to meet with me in person

But am thinking now to go for Sweden as i was also offered admission there

Am just a bit confuse what to do at the moment!

I used my uncle as my sponsor too. Though am an orphan and my uncle has been my guardian for years. Not only so, I attached his and my bank statement which I have close to 7m. There's inflow and outflow of cash on my statement (not that the money was deposited once). The 2 companies he deal with as their distributor wrote letter and address it to the embassy stating that he is my guardian and am responsible for managing his business. I attached my ID card of customer representative with the companies. Having the same surname and address also help. I also attached sponsorship letter and the company letter used before for my previous visa application.

I said it on this thread that I submitted more documents than what the embassy required and someone bash me. If you have any documents that will support your visa application irrespective of what the embassy required, attach it and submit it to them.

The same thing when I said the interview was somehow rigourous for me, someone said "na simple questions na". Yes, the questions are simple but I took my time to convince the VO. He even call the Nigerian woman to come and listen to me. Even though the visa decision comes from Budapest, mine is to convince the VO on each documents submitted.

It was the same mail every applicants received from the embassy. You either get your passport with the visa stamped or with visa denial letter stating the reason why your visa application was denied.

I have differ my admission till next session. I will be coming back to Lagos next week.

I got a mail from Hungarian Embassy that my visa is ready. I have replied them that I won't be able to make it on the pick up date and time. That I will be glad if the embassy can mail my passport and documents through courier service. Patiently waiting for their reply cos I replied them late.

they dont need to send u a reply, as soon as the date and time reaches go to the embassy u will see your name with the security officials there

What pissed me off about Nairaland is how people use to counter each other. Using words like there's nothing like this and that but that doesn't mean such doesn't exist because you didn't do it.
We might follow through the same entrance and our direction might be so different.
All embassies will state their required documents and other supporting documents. You attached documents that will support your visa application and someone will say there's nothing like that. I think individuals should address themselves base on what they submit.
Moreover, we have different status and going on different programme.
Did you know why I submitted my birth certificate? You don't know. I'm a Nigerian born in another country. I hold Nigerian passport with another place (out of Nigeria) as place of birth. What did you want me to convince the VO with that I was born there? I also authenticate and verify my results in order to avoid issue of forging or fabrication of result. I met a guy at the embassy that even attached Police Report but I never counter the guy because he felt it will support his visa application after the listed required docs. I did give him thumb up because it was stated in the visa application form if you ever commit crime, so the police report cover for his answer. If you now any documents aside from those required that will support your visa application, then submit it. I have current UK and Turkey Visa, I submitted documents that support my visa application when I applied aside from those required and I got it. The world is a stage, let everyone rock is dream.

All they need is your Original Wassec Certificate thats all

Nawah o, someone that got her visa last year gave me d attachment sent directly from the embassy which stated all required docs. In fact , very straight forward, not as complicated as the link the embassy Is giving us now. No Flight reservation and Birth certificate on that list. But you must verify and legalise your SSCE at MOE &MOA.

All the same, its pretty okay if you have power to provide every documents, both mentioned by the embassy and the school.

I personally asked the embassy officials do i need to legalize my Wassec they said no need, i also asked them in email too

Yes, it is a must to forward your documents to their email before your interview date. Note, make sure you've package your documents before forwarding it to their email cos changing any documents for another after forwarding it to them mean "konakona". I forwarded mine 3 days to the interview.

School fees payment confirmation letter from the school
Accommodation reservation confirmation letter
SSCE result (to be verify and authenticate by MOE and MOF)

In another news, I just got a juicy offer with a multinational company and I will be traveling to one of the schengen country for training. Studying in Hungary is now my second option . Make I kukuma wait for the visa outcome, if they issue me visa, I will defer the session and if they deny me, all na the same but am optimistic I will get the visa except if God say NO.

all questions they asked were so easy and simple, i cant even call that an interview

just know that the visa is decided by the country immigration and not at that embassy, then only arrange visa in Abuja and its mainly decided in Hungary

@Jeffery09, thank God you said you won't advice and I pray you shouldn't advice that someone should not pay for accommodation.

@Gifs, the consular officer will ask you for accommodation reservation and proof of later backing the payment and reservation. Most of the schools in Hungary do state accommodation address on their acceptance letter but it has to be reserved after payment.

They do confirm the authenticity and if the bank statement was issued with the consent of the customer. It was the reason why a guy I met at the embassy was rejected.

Name of your university, the faculty/department, the city, the reason why you want to study the course, did you have friends/family in schengen area, and questions related to your sponsor. Let your answer correlate with what is in your docs. Wish you all the best.

Do you know how they do verify the bank statement? will they call the account owner for confirmation? Or they will have to confirm from the bank itself?

I'm done with the interview. It went through well. I was told that I will be contacted within the next 15 working days (3 weeks).

My advice for applicants, please don't forge any documents. Even if you do they will know. Those I met there that their visa were rejected was due to faking or forging documents.

Be honest and truthful. What will be will be and what God has destine for you will never pass you by.

Take your original result to Ministry of Education then after that to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It doesn't take much and it also depend on you. If you want fastrack process, you can get it done that day but "na money matter".
