Bro that's not true. Like every other plant, it's is vulnerable to pests and weeds. Being able to weed and manage pests are the only guarantees to making money from it. Also be mindful of security around where the farm will be located. If all these are sorted, with God's help you should be fine. You should also source for a good breed of cassava stem- from IITA maybe. They have good yielding and pest resistant stems. The value chain for cassava is massive if you get it right!!! Best wishes. Did you read the introduction that he was Health minister? Wetin concern health minister with VAT? That he was a former minister does not rob him the right to share his opinion on any issue as an ordinary citizen now especially when that said matter was not in his purview. wizelink: I agree with you ex-minister. However, when you were in active service as minister, why didn't you suggest that to your fellow minsters and then presdo? All you are saying now is nonsense because you had the opportunity to make the needed change and attended numerous federal executive council meeting. Now the hardship the masses are going through is gradually creeping into your home and you feel it right to say the truth and align with the masses or probably get anoda job with the current administration. |
Politics › Re: States Banning Sale Of Alcohol Shouldn’t Get VAT On Beer - Ex-Minister, Adewole by adejades: 8:33am On Jun 03, 2024 |
Your examples of cows does not work. It's the people who buys the cows that pays the VAT and they are more than the northerners if that's what you mean. You'll be shocked that all states have one cattle reserve or another as well. I know of one around Badagary and Epe in Lagos. They claim they do not want alcohol so sales are rarely made there. It therefore means VAT generated there is quite low, why should they share VAT made from others? Plus since it's a banned commodity there, what grounds do they have to ask for profits made from it? Nwaokunkpara: NIGERIA
We should all sit down and figure out the system of government that will resolve all these disparities
What about the VAT generated from the sale of cows?
We need a referendum and not an election to determine where we're going to |
Politics › Re: FG Rejects ₦494,000 Wage Demand, Warns Of ₦9.5 Trillion Economic Burden by adejades: 10:38am On Jun 02, 2024 |
Don't you think their (OPS) fight should be with the government and their policies and not minimum wage. Why should the average man always be asked to manage and continue suffering while others feed off them? Omenlon: maybe some of you think only civil servants are the ones in employment. You people don't consider the private sector. How many companies can pay 100k minimum wage with all the challenges they are facing in trying to stay afloat in business. |
Politics › Re: FG Rejects ₦494,000 Wage Demand, Warns Of ₦9.5 Trillion Economic Burden by adejades: 10:34am On Jun 02, 2024 |
You should educate yourself on the concept of minimum pay rather than throw words you do not understand. Yes, organizations are supposed to pay people using the minimum wage as a benchmark. In the private sector which is unregulated, some pay their new staff in some junior roles the exact minimum wage, no addition (like security, cleaners etc). Some of them even pay below. I have seen cleaners earn 20k as salary as at today!!! Is that not wicked? The current request by labour is negotiable. Govt. should meet them somewhere, 60k is nothing to write home about. Inflation is already out there, caused by govt. and their policies, why should the average worker be the one to suffer? Atiku, Obi, Tinubu, they are all the same!!! Pay people what is due or go to hell, wicked politicians across all levels!!! Omenlon: politics has really blinded your sense of reasoning, no doubt. In the first place, is minimum wage your take home pay? When they say 30k minimum wage, who goes home with 30k as civil servants in Nigeria? If minimum wage is 60k, the least paid worker take home pay can get to 130k to 150k. If you haven't be employed before don't fool yourself with your kindergarten analysis. |
Politics › Re: FG Rejects ₦494,000 Wage Demand, Warns Of ₦9.5 Trillion Economic Burden by adejades: 10:25am On Jun 02, 2024 |
Comments like this are disheartening. This is a negotiation bro. Government will be foolish to pay 400k, but if the country can afford it, why not? Our annual budget is 27.5Trillion. Government should be reasonable in their proposal. 100-120k would be at least a manageable figure. They should also plug their excesses, their body language should show that we're all in this together. Not importing cars worth billions on borrowed money when there are local alternatives, choking everyone with taxes and all. No family (family of 3) can survive 1 week on 60k even if you live in the village. helinues: Even if you slashed the executives and legislatives take home, it won't still catch up with the ridiculous amount labour is demanding.
Their N494,000 is the basic salary, how much would those in level 16 be earning monthly? |
