Live Reporting By Michael Emons and Alex Bysouth All times stated are UK 22:43 Round 4: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Anthony Joshua is trying to tee up, a right hook is partially blocked by Takam's arm. It would have sent him out of the ring if it landed properly. 22:41 Round 3: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam A smile from Joshua at the end of the third round. Takam has done nothing of note, apart from stick the nut on to Joshua's nose. 22:40 Round 3: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam The referee Phil Edwards warns Takam about leading with the head. Bit late for that now. 22:39 Is Joshua's nose broken? Round 3: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam He has hardly landed a punch, but Carlos Takam may have, inadvertently, just broken the world champion's nose. 22:38 How will Joshua respond? Round 3: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Anthony Joshua will probably look to finish this quickly now. 22:37 Joshua camp unhappy Round 2: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Blood is streaming from Anthony Joshua's nose, but it is not from a punch, but the head of Takam with a wild lunge as he tried to throw a left hook to the body. "Tell that ref that he is coming in with his head," Joshua's corner say, clearly unhappy with Takam. 22:36 Round 2 Anthony Joshua may well have a broken nose. 22:35 Joshua nose bleeding Round 2: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam And it is on to round two. Takam, bouncing around, tries a left hook to the body but it is a clumsy attempt and he bashes on to Joshua's nose with his head. It looked unintentional. Clumsy, but unintentional. 22:33 Oh Anthony Joshua! The song that has rung around Cardiff all afternoon Michael Pearlman BBC Wales Sport in Cardiff They were singing it on St Mary's Street, in the pubs of Mill Lane and it reverberated around the Principality Stadium throughout the undercard. The crowd did not stop singing throughout the opening round, this is the dictionary definition of a partisan crowd. 22:33 Cagey first round Round 1: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam A very cagey opening three minutes in Cardiff. It has to be Joshua's round as Takam did nothing adventurous, desperately trying to not get hit. A slow start. It will get better. 22:32 Round 1: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Nothing of attacking note so far from Takam. 22:31 Round 1: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Anthony Joshua stations himself in the middle of the ring, popping out the jab. He tries a right hook, but Takam sees it coming and dances back on his heels to get out of the way. 22:30 Under way Round 1: Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam Carlos Takam is bouncing around, looking to give the impression that he will be tough to hit. 22:30 And now the staredown. This is when it all gets a bit real for Carlos Takam. Joshua towers above him. This is going to be one huge shock if Takam is to rip the belts from Joshua's hands. 22:29 Lights, camera, action Michael Pearlman BBC Wales Sport in Cardiff Think we might have just had a temporary issue with the sound system, but it is a temporary hitch. I was here ten years ago when Joe Calzaghe fought Mikkel Kessler, but there are without question more fans, making more noise, here tonight. Cardiff is certainly ready. 1 Like |

As per if the environment is friendly or hostile. He is not desperate for a job, as he presently works in a well paying school. But just in search of greener pastures. Football Referees in the house can you please educate me on why the Zambian was cancelled. First permit me to say I as patriotic as any Nigerian can be or perhaps a lot more patriotic than most will assume. As a football fan I believe fair and honest victory, it makes it sweeter when you know your team truly earned its victory. Super Eagles' victory left a sour taste in my mouth because I cannot explain why a goal which seem legitimate was cancelled by the central referee. Thanks |

I think we should exercise caution in apportioning blame...let keep our arms folded until we can confirm the true position of things But if the man was indeed proved to be innocent of the alleged crime I think we have to come down heavily on whoever is involved 1 Like |

Crime / A Murder Or A Suicide? by Adenex3051(m): 1:37pm On Feb 19, 2017 |
'Facts are sometimes stranger than fiction...' Below is one of the most interesting cases ever recorded in history. On March 23, 1994 the medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus and concluded that he died from a shotgun wound to the head. Mr. Opus had jumped from the top of a ten-story building intending to commit suicide. He left a note to the effect indicating his despondency. As he fell past the ninth floor his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast passing through a window, which killed him instantly. Neither the shooter nor the deceased was aware that a safety net had been installed just below the eighth floor level to protect some building workers and that Ronald Opus would not have been able to complete his suicide the way he had planned. "Ordinarily," Dr Mills continued, "A person, who sets out to commit suicide and ultimately succeeds, even though the mechanism might not be what he intended, is still defined as committing suicide." That Mr. Opus was shot on the way to certain death, but probably would not have been successful because of the safety net, caused the medical examiner to feel that he had a homicide on his hands. In the room on the ninth floor, where the shotgun blast emanated, was occupied by an elderly man and his wife. They were arguing vigorously and he was threatening her with a shotgun. The man was so upset that when he pulled the trigger he completely missed his wife and the pellets went through the window striking Mr. Opus. When one intends to kill subject "A" but kills subject "B" in the attempt, one is guilty of the murder of subject "B". When confronted with the murder charge the old man and his wife were both adamant and both said that they thought the shotgun was unloaded. The old man said it was a long-standing habit to threaten his wife with the unloaded shotgun. He had no intention to murder her. Therefore the killing of Mr. Opus appeared to be an accident; that is, if the gun had been accidentally loaded. The continuing investigation turned up a witness who saw the old couple's son loading the shotgun about six weeks prior to the fatal accident. It transpired that the old lady had cut off her son's financial support and the son, knowing the propensity of his father to use the shotgun threateningly, loaded the gun with the expectation that his father would shoot his mother. Since the loader of the gun was aware of this, he was guilty of the murder even though he didn't actually pull the trigger. The case now becomes one of murder on the part of the son for the death of Ronald Opus. Now comes the exquisite twist. Further investigation revealed that the son was, in fact, Ronald Opus. He had become increasingly despondent over the failure of his attempt to engineer his mother's murder. This led him to jump off the ten-story building on March 23rd 1994, only to be killed by a shotgun blast passing through the ninth story window. The son had actually murdered himself, so the medical examiner closed the case as a suicide. A true story from Associated Press, Reported by Kurt Westervelt Do you agree with the Medical Examiner? 2 Likes |
