They just sent me a medical request form to be done within 30 days. How do I beat the queue please guys help out?
Abeg o my people, good morning, I saw an update on my account this morning, by the time I checked it, I noticed that they've removed medical passed and every other things remained the same. What could that mean? Although I think my medical has expired cos I did upfront medical October last year when my wife was applying for study permit. Am I safe?

I think that’s good news for you( for getting medical request). I have read from other threads that if any applicant got a medical request, they can send mail to Iom or Qlife or better still proceed to Iom or Qlife medical centers with the request and they will be booked within the time frame of the request. I think the walk-in works faster as emails may not be attended to in due time.

The decision to perform a medical or not solely depends on you. No one can make that decision for you. Also note that one thing i have noticed with canadian immigration is that what works for one might not work for the other. I stood to loose nothing. Is it not just mail? I got the documents and attached them, wrote them a mail and sent it. And it worked. So the choice is yours. Instead of waiting, it wont be a bad idea to do a medical, send it, send the exemption mail. Its free. Worst case, they will tell you that you are not eligible. They cant deny you for sending the mail. My thoughts though.

Applied July 9th
Biometrics request July 10th.
Biometrics done August 31st.
Upfront medicals done on same August 31st and sent via mail and webform on September 3rd, on September 4th, cic account updated to medical passed.
Since then no update. Sent a mail for covid-19 exemption as advised here.
Sent promotion letter with new salary at work place. Sent in updated/renewed study permit.
Boom, Nov 6th, BVL, Covid 19 exemption letter and PPR all dropped in 5mins interval.
Thanks to @Opemipo21 and my special buddy @hayqinsbFX, brother from another mother. We have known since our study permit days in 2015. We just chat to console ourselves. I also wish you a favorable and positive processing in your spouse's application.
Kindly note that i applied for gcms, both didnt show anything significant. Infact the last one came on thursday while PPR came on Friday.

Congrats bro. I have applied since May 1st and no update since then. I requested gcms note last month but I’ve not gotten it. While I am waiting for all that, is it possible I go ahead and do my medicals and submit upfront.

I wanted to send the Covid exemption email but I stopped since the instructions stated that it’s for before who submitted before April 9th. But ur own is also after April 9th just like mine. So my question is before I follow ur footstep and write the exemption email, do you advise that I do the medicals first and submit it??
