Researchers in Nigeria are trying hard to produce quality research work that can match that of their contemporary in other climes.
African researchers both student researchers find it extremely difficult due to financial constraints to purchase the necessary kits for their work.
Elisa kits are used to analyze several important analyte within the system of their research work same as primary antibody and a lot of biological reagents used for complex studies.

I will like to know how my fellow researchers in Nigeria and other African countries are coping to run their samples needing Elisa kits, antibodies and molecular reagents for DNa,RNA analysis

is it the civil servants especially the perm secs,directors and accounting staff who are suppose to protect the common wealth of the country and work to make the country bigger but instead teach and collide with politicians how to steal

This is the Medscape Neurology Minute. I am Dr. Alan Jacobs. Headache researchers presenting at the Anesthesiology™ 2013 Annual Meeting presented safety and long-term efficacy data concerning electrical peripheral nerve stimulation therapy. The treatment involved implantation of a thin, insulated wire into the occipital or supraorbital nerves to deliver electrical pulses to block pain. The study monitored 46 patients who received peripheral nerve stimulation between 2005 and 2012. Follow-up phone interviews were conducted to determine subsequent headache intensity and frequency per month, complications, and satisfaction with the treatment. The study found that average headache intensity was reduced by 70%, the average number of headache days per month decreased from 28 to 14, and 90% of patients were satisfied with the treatment. One patient reported more than 8 years of reduced headache intensity and frequency. Complications included electrode migration, equipment problems, and infection. The investigators concluded that as physicians gain experience with implantation techniques, complications will decrease, and this will be a breakthrough therapy for chronic headache sufferers.
