AutomaticMotors: Yes that’s right, translate all the documents you’re legalizing to Italian and cross check when you get the translated documents. The list of recommended translators are on the Italian consulate’s website. |

Geophillic: You need to first of all authenticate your educational and non-educational documents like birth certificate at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja. Translate all your authenticated documents to Italian. The list of recommended translators are on the consulate’s website. Then you send a mail to the consulate on lagos.consolare@esteri.it to book a date for legalization in order to get a DOV. |

Ibfred: You may or may not legalize it. It’s not a compulsory requirement for a study visa. 1 Like |

Teefay: You need to mail the Italian consulate in Lagos and attach your nulla osta informing them about the validity of your document. With this, they will understand the urgency of your request. I’d advise you use another email in sending this request to the consulate. |

What that means is you need to go to Abuja to authenticate these documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and make sure you get a remitta receipt once you complete these process. Then you’d translate these documents to Italian through the recommended translation companies (you can find these details on the Italian consulate website) ( Kindly note that you can go to any English-Italian translator for the translation provided the document is accurately translated. You may however contact any of the under listed translators: 1. Grange Services Tel: +234 8173028377, +234 8091733903, +234 8024740397 E-mail: grangeservices1@gmail.com 2. AISA Providers Ltd Tel: 08172244196 E-mail: aisaproviders@gmail.com 3. Cajetan Osuagwu Tel +234 8146637381 E-mail ceejayosuagwu@yahoo.com After which you’d send a mail to the Italian consulate in Lagos that you’d like to book an appointment to legalize your documents ( lagos.consolare@esteri.it ) 3 Likes |

Chinnypro:Your friend can’t serve as a sponsor. You or your parents can only be a sponsor for a study visa. Best bet, your friend transfers the money into your account and you show sufficient documentation of where the money came from! |
