Yes it is a good bussiness, that is why I want people that are experienced in this to share theirs, I appreciate nthymarce for his contribution, though the capital is much but I believe one can start with less than that with some distributors. More nairalanders should please share their experience.
dav8id:

papa pee:
first of all you need to know the type of foodstuff you want to go into as we have various state that grows different food stuff in large quantities than the other ,after then you need to source for markets for the products ,moreover you need to have a contact person both side at the buying point and selling the moment you strike the deal and do your logistic properly you keep the ball rolling wishing the best of luck
Papa pee, what a bright suggestion, thanks. I intend starting with rice and vegetable oil, I already have some customers on the selling side, but I'm still working on a suitable source to buy, and because I want to start on a large scale, I need a source with whom I can possibly be a distributor. Anyone who perharps knows any link can post reply please. Thanks

topsy4fun:
Please Can anybody help with ideas on how to set up a provision shop especially how and where to sourcr for the PRODUCTS. Thank you.
We have all been addressing the 'how' part of his question, can somebody address the where to source for the product? I'm also interested in starting a provision store soon, I already done a lot of enquiries, it is a lucrative bussiness, but you must have time for it or a way to monitor it very well. But I need to know well from those who really know about it on the best place to source for the products. I know of Idunmota in Lagos, Onitsha, Ibadan, but I like to know more from those that have started.
