Thecassanova: You should have tried Kenya Airways. There was no issues on first traveller, I met few first time travellers with study permit and had no p. The crew hospitality was superb. We moved afternoon on Monday had a stopover at Nairobi. They lodged us at Weston hotel Nairobi, funny enough we got there around 2am, just when lots were about enjoying their sleep in a masterpiece king size bed they came to wake us up at 4am for our flight to jburg then later reconnect to CT this evening. The Immigration lady at ortambo just asked "so you're coming for study?" That's all.
PS: I'm not advertising Kenya Airways o before some people will tag me an agent I have sent you an email. |

Chukwuka16: Yeah. I figured that Ethiopian Airlines being a regional player would be more organised and sensible but I guess I was wrong. I think their ticketing office in MMIA is just a front for fleecing ignorant travellers of their money. If no be say I just wanted to meet accommodation window for school I for settle down carry aluta go there. Who changes flight for 87k when no price difference in missed and rescheduled flights?
Would give Kenyan Airlines a try in the near future by God's grace. Just to see Nairobi. I have sent you an email. Thanks |

yinksob002: Yes, there is., Most online flight bookings are valid for 72 hrs. Just ensure you do the booking on the day of submission as advised earlier. The 72hrs flight booking clause does not affect your application provided it's still valid at the point of submission.
SA embassy places more emphasis on your hotel booking which i will advise you do a paid booking to increase your chances of getting the visa. All the best Thanks, but i have a cover letter for accommodation from my supervisor. Hope that is oKay? |

Silvabae: Do the flight and hotel booking the day before your submission or that morning. Is there 72hrs valid booking? even if it is done on submission morning? Kindly throw more light on this |

femdot: Visit any state CID, they will issue it to you after like 3-4 days of your application at their office. That 3-4days will allow them to check your criminal records at lagos provided you have one. Thanksgiving |

I read it from the very first page and it honestly made my visa application process less stressful than it would have. Once again I thank you all and wish you success in your own applications. chizzyconcept: Hello I did mine but not here in Nigeria. I send someone my documents and everything to do it for me. The estimated time for saqa is 1month with fasting and prayer.. go to the courier service u sent it and ask them if the package has reached SA. If yes follow it up with email and calling.. because sometimes it takes time for them to pick it up from their saqa mailbox in Pretoria I meant receiving from SAQA not sending to them. My evaluation is complete already and they said they have sent the result via Courier since 24/02/2017. So i want to know if it really takes the 4-6days they proposed. Thanks |

I called today and was told they are handling applications submitted on the 26th of January (I also submitted that day), hopefully I'll get my visa this week as orientation starts next week. Fingers crossed. Pls where did you apply is it at Vfs or South African High commission? Thanks |

AroogzBaba: You do not need the SAQA for your Postgraduate application to UCT. However, I would say it doesn't hurt to have it done as I guess it should come in handy in the long-term. What of Visa application? do i need it too? this is cos it is the only thing delaying my visa application now. Thanks |

Larrywax2016: [You don't need anyone from your school to get SAQA done. Get your certificate handy (Not Notification of result), Data page of ur Passport, WAEC result with result checker, get all notarized from a Lawyer(go to Ministry of Justice in Alausa Secretariat if u r in Lagos, it N300/page) & go to SAQA website to print consent form & make payment(Use GTBank MasterCard). Then Courier it to them. Let me know if u need more info... author=Adewole17 post=53918039]Hi everyone, I have been offered a phd scholarship at the UCT, Pls i need information on SAQA first, pls do we have anyone from Fedpoly Ado that did SAQA? pls how do they respond?
