Dear VO, you really are an angel. The best kind there is. It would be remiss of me if I didnt come back to this forum to say thank you for all you do. I just want you to know that you are very much appreciated. The kindness, love, care and obvious professionalism with which you respond to our inquiries is heartwarming. We couldn't ask for more. Thanks for responding to my inquiries. My visa finally says issued, I'm soo happy and grateful to God, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could have met you. Well who knows maybe someday.... God bless you ma'am do have a wonderful holiday

We sent you an e-mail in October that said:

Thank you for your email.

According to our records, we were unable to reach you on the phone number you provided. An e-mail was sent to you to inform you to return to the Consulate with your passport, new medical and police certificates; you will also need to fill out the DS260 online form. You may contact the National Visa center at NVCinquiry@state.gov to request your invoice number, which is needed to fill out the DS260. Print out the confirmation of the form and return with these documents on any business day except Fridays at 1pm.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit
United States Consulate General
Lagos Nigeria
Dear VO,
Thank you ever so much for your kind assistance and responses may God bless and reward you richly in Jesus Name. I went for my visa interview last week thursday and to the glory of God my visa was approved and i was told to pick up my visa on Thursday which would be tomorrow. I realised after leaving the Embassy for the interview that the Consular Officer didnt ask for a new set of passport photographs. I believe the Embassy might have some I submitted earlier. However on checking my status it says administrative processing. It went from ready to administrative processing. I was wondering if the passport photographs had anything to do with it. I haven't heard from the Embassy, so as per the Consular Officers last instructions, I'm to pick up the visa on Thursday. I would appreciate any feedback or updates. Sorry to be a bother. Thanks so much. God bless

Adeyinka2014:
Good evening visa officer, thanks so much for taking the time out to answer questions, really much appreciated. My question is this, my husband filed an immigrant visa petition for me in 2012, it was approved by USCIS, but I was denied a visa at the visa interview in lagos. I was told I was eligible to file for an i601 waiver on grounds of inadmissibility, we have since filed the i601 waiver, and the waiver was Approved on the 13th of August 2014. I was also mailed a confirmation notice of approval, which indicated that all processing by USCIS was now complete, And we should wait for the us consulate to contact us. It's been a little over 2 months now, and we are yet to hear from the us consulate in lagos. I sent an email about a month ago to lagosIV@state.gov, indicating my email address and contact phone nos. I just wanted to know if it usually takes this long, or if they had been trying to reach me. Thanks

This was your response

VisaOfficer:
Hmm. When we receive waiver approval notifications, we update the case notes and contact the beneficiaries... so I don't know why you haven't been contacted. Could you e-mail us at LagosIV@state.gov and mention your case number and Nairaland (so it gets forwarded appropriately)?
After which I sent an email to LagosIv@state.gov, mentioning Nairaland, and also updating my contact information with the embassy, but I got no response at all. It's been over three months since the approval of the i601. Please I would appreciate any help given as I am confused as to why its taking this long.
Thanks so very much and God bless
