Apart from stocking in times of low prices and sell once prices appreciate, we could also make some gains on price differences. For example buying from Akwa Ibom to sell e.g in Jos. Transportation and storage would form a bit of the expenses to offset and the rest, gain. Not just for palm oil but also for other products of the value chain. I see it as a viable alternative to treasury bill now that the rates are so low. They are certainly promising beyond the treasury bill rates of 6% though with greater risks.
