Happy birthday... But come to think of it.. Why should the revered man of God take clue from our hip hop celebrities that go outside to celebrate. While not in Nigeria or is our dear country not good enough. Bearing in mind that some south Africans died in his building collapse. Or is this a sort of compensation ... Just wondering of.
Keep wondering bro!! grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nestle!!!...why This????...sad!!! by adNEXT: 9:54pm On Jun 13, 2015
RileyFreeman1:
I am sad and unhappy about how a specific Nestle recruitment campaign was handled by Nestle Nigeria. I feel even worse because research have shown that other people have experienced the same treatment. Some have experienced even worse.

I know there are Nestle employees here on Nairaland, so it will do me great joy if someone explains this situation and why Nestle does this.

I applied for an opening late last year with Nestle, luckily for me, I got invited for a Dragnet test which I gladly attended. Fortunately for me, I passed the Dragnet Test.
About a week after receiving a Dragnet success email, I received another invite from Nestle to attend a function based test which I did. Few weeks later, I received another email that I was successful at the Function test.

About 2 weeks later, I received an interview invite mail and call, I was happy at the speed and professionalism of the entire process because I knew no one working with Nestle and I was convinced that the entire process had been outstandingly meritocratic.
I attended the Nestle interview, very few people were present for the interview. I did my very best at the interview and as God will have it, about two weeks later I received a follow up email that I was successful at the interview.
I was very happy because Nestle is a company I have utmost respect for and building my career with such a company was a dream come through.

This is June the 12th, 2015, Its been about 5 months since I received the last interview success mail. I was concerned so I networked with some Nestle staff via LinkedIn.com. To my surprise, I was told some people did medicals and resumed about 3 months ago for the same opening. I was also made to believe that 95% of these people previously worked with Nestle as contract staff, now they have been made full time staff.

I initially felt bad but I also know about other interviewed candidates who received regret mails from Nestle after the interview where I received success mail.

It will be very much appreciated if someone from Nestle explains why this is happening.

Why have I been left in the dark by Nestle?

Why no follow up email has been sent since over 5 months?

What exactly is going on?

Do I still remain positive about being contacted by Nestle?

If possible, Nestle Nigeria HR should look into this because it seems like a very unfair treatment. A follow up correspondence to candidates who will work with you in the future will really ease a lot of tension. It also shows top class professionalism on your part as a company.
Young man relax!! Nestle is not the end of the world... Let me draw ur attention to Nnpc recruitment that started since 2012 & it's still ongoing. And there are lots of other multinationals that I know that keeps ppl waiting endlessly (2yrs+) without any notification about their status. If u must know also, most of Mobil apprentice trainee that went thru the training process stayed back at home for almost 3 yrs before contacting them for resumption. I advice u get urself busy for d mean time and save urself d whole stress and drama. What will be, will be!

DMainMan:
After so many pleas, DMainMan Foundation is giving out the New and Old package (Full) Dragnet GSE Question and Answers for free for Allah's sake.

This is the last time I will send it.

This package includes the new one as well as the old one I earlier sent.

Write down your email here.

Deadline of submission is Wednesday, September 11th, 11:59am.

After this deadline, please no one should request from me again as i might not reply.

Do not cram the questions o. There are many agents of Dragnet here. They will surely change the questions.

However, observe and master the rules of answering them. If u really do, u will surely massacre Dragnet questions like play lyk seriously.
Please am interested in the GSE dragnet questions... flo4next@gmail.com

Jobs/VacanciesRe: PLS HELP: Is It Advisable For A Graduate To Pick Up A Contract Job In Nestlé? by adNEXT(op): 9:30pm On May 14, 2015
mrking3:
my dear! If you made 4.41 and you are slighly above 24-26 max! That grade is pratically useless in today's labour market where AGE is considered a strong factor. I think diamond is still the only bank in Nigeria that accepts 30yrs of age as Entry Level. The Rest coys will never go above 26. I made 4.23 but couldnt get my desired job as a result of age barrier. Well, i wouldnt want to bore you with my bitter experiences! Thank God! I am meaningfully engaged now. My advice to you is that you should take up that contract job as quick as possible! Hence you are not meaningfully engaged at the moment. Again, it depends on the type of job you are engaged with! Some contract jobs are still very decent especially when it involve a multinational firm like Nestle! From there, you can build on the work experience and move on to another firm. After my Nysc, i waited for a whole one year! Applying for jobs! And thinking i would get a good job with my grade! but then, all to no avail. My dear, you have to start from no where!!! If you are above 27yrs! Then, you have to forget any job with Fresh Graduate or entry Level. Coz of the age! So better you pick up something to do as quick as possible!! Cheers!
Probably dtz d problem, d AGE factor because I'm 28 now. Thanks for ur contribution.

First, what kind of job are you going dre to do.? If its a job related to your discipline, abeg Hug am. Thank God you are starting in a multinational company not all these "gburagbura" coys around. The thing is while you work, take your time to learn dre operations and dre microbiological analyses, these knowledge are thing u leverage on when looking for bigger jobs. I could remember when I was serving in NBC, I assisted HR manager because engineering dept rejected me. I was in HR keeping eye on what was happening in engineering and production section, I kept reading bottling books while I was rendering HR Services. Believe u me, I never put it in my cv I assisted HR Manager, I wrote it that I assisted Plant Engineer. My first job was with Guinness as Maintenance Technician( I passed dre recruitment technical test) left there for an oil serving firm. Pls be focused. Seems u re around 30 year of age, that's why fresh graduate jobs din come easily. I experienced that too
Thanks a million!!! I had it in mind to explore every opportunity I will come across there. I only got discouraged from people around that said contract jobs are not OK for graduates. I posted this to actually get other views and suggestions, & with all d comments so far I'm definitely going for it. Thank you ALL, I remain grateful!

I am a graduate of Microbiology, made 4.41 & completed my NYSC in Feb 2014. I'm unemployed, I've made several applications to different establishments but I don't get any feedback (both positive & negative) afterwards. Right now I'm thinking of picking up a contract job in Nestlé in order to help me build my experience while waiting for a better offer.
Pls how good is dis decision in terms of finance and experience benefits?
Pls I need ur response, I don't want to make an expensive mistake. Thank you!
