A Nigerian student identified as Iniobong Ekpo Isang has taken Akwa Ibom University to court after expelling him over a social media post he made against the governor of the state Udom Emmanuel.

According to Soaznews Etv, the university in a letter dated April 9th, 2021 hinged their decision of his expulsion on what it described as ”gross misconduct.”.

The expulsion letter which was signed by the university Registrar John E. Udo also reads that the man is barred from entering the campus premises.

What the expelled student wrote on Facebook
Premium Times reported that Isang who was a finalist of the department of agricultural engineering had accused the governor in an article on Facebook for failing to fulfill his financial promise to graduating students in 2017.

The post which was made by the student using a pseudonym Afrosix Jaara where he accused the governor of ‘scamming the students read in part:

““It’s 2 years and 166 days since he promised, yet none of the graduands received a naira even the first class graduands were unattended to when they went to his office.”

Isang demands N20 million for damages
In a letter that was made available on Facebook intimating the university of the court action, the student’s plea amongst include a demand of N20 million for damages, a reinstatement into the campus without encumbrances.

“Essence” by Wizkid is still gaining ground internationally as it made it to Billboard list of 50 best songs to have been released this year.

Essence which features Tems, off Wizkid much-acclaimed “, Made in Lagos” album was released in 2020 and has been put on Billboard list of 50 best songs to have been released this year.

Billboard released its list on Tuesday, the 8th of June 2021. They described “Essence” as living up to its title, and capturing the essence of the whole album.

This Billboard feature is coming barely a week after Wizkid and Tems covered Apple Music’s RnB now playlist in the United States.

“Essence” is evidently gaining ground outside the country and it is lovely to see its growth. Tems also recently emerged no. 1 on Billboard’s “Next Big Sound” list.

Popular Ugandan of Christian Life Church Kampala, has been seen in a trending video jubilating at the death of a popular Nigerian Pastor and televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua accusing him of being the biggest witch in Africa.

Pastor Jackson Senyonga described pastor TB Joshua as a man who thought his life was much better and worth more than the lives of others and destroyed thousands of lives and sacrificing many souls for his selfish gains.

Pastor Jackson Senyonga alleged that Prophet TB Joshua is fake and his death means victory. He also claimed that the Nigerian Pastor initiated some pastors in his country “Nigeria” into “witchcraft” because he is the biggest “witch” in Africa

He added though heaven doesn’t rejoice when a sinner dies, TB Joshua’s death however means many will also go. Senyonga went on to call down “fire” on other Christian preachers in the continent he described as “false Prophets”.

Ex-Enugu high court Judge, Justice Stanley Nnaji has reportedly been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Nnaji was dragged out of his vehicle and shot three times by the unknown assailants. The Enugu state police command has confirmed the incident vowing to bring the Perpetrators to book.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, the Commissioner, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc, has ordered the launch of a full-scale manhunt of yet-to-be identifed armed assailants, alleged to have trailed and shot dead an unidentified man driving in a Mercedes Benz Jeep, which they carted away, along Ebeano Tunnel, Enugu, today being 30/05/2021 at about 1700hrs.”.

“The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors on duty and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner, while assuring that no stone would be left unturned in fishing out perpetrators of the heinous crime, has called on residents of the State to remain law-abiding, vigilant and assist the Police with useful information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the assailants.

Justice Nnaji was a Judge of the Enugu State High Court until he was dismissed following his role in the removal of a sitting Governor of Anambra State in 2007. The case brought forward by Chris Uba in 2004 that sacked Chris Ngige as governor of Anambra state.

He was from Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.

A young guy has taken to social media to share how his girlfriend who has an identical twin, switched places with her twin at night so he could be sleeping with the two of them in turns without knowing.
