4 million Naira, in this economy? What kind of insult is this? Oga, carry your competition and go.

We will be happy to get your support and maybe you want to add to it from your widow’s mite 😂

Omo. Let us start with the part that makes everybody sit up straight.

Four million naira. Cash. Not "₦4M worth of studio time", not "exposure plus a framed certificate and a WhatsApp group you will be added to". The real figure is ₦4,000,000, paid to one artist, with a brand ambassador deal that keeps paying long after the confetti has been swept off the stage in Lagos.

That is what is sitting at the end of the Green Indie Star Search 2026, and the door opened on Friday, October 9. As of today, the window is open, the countdown is live, and you have until Saturday, October 31 to walk through it.

Now, if you are a Nigerian artist, you have heard this kind of promise before. Somebody's cousin's platform, ₦10M prize, "just pay a registration fee", and eighteen months later the founder is posting motivational quotes from an unregistered address. So let us do this properly. No hype. Just the rules, the maths, and the reasons this one is different.

Four Million Naira And No Uncle In The Industry
The prize has grown. Green Indie announced ₦2M–₦3M in cash prizes when the competition first went public; the 2026 edition is ₦4,000,000 for the winner plus a brand ambassador deal, with further contestant rewards and possible brand deals distributed based on performance for everyone else who makes the final cut.

Keyamo should resign if this is confirmed. They risked their lives. Nigeria is not it.

A bit of Education here! Keyamo is a civilian minister for civil aviation. His oversight does not include military aviation or operations. We pray for the repose of the souls impacted and comfort for the families left behind.

Accidents that impact lives negatively are not for catching cruise.

Someone will just open their mouth wa wa wa and be spitting nonsense acclaimed as intelligent contributions. Tinubu has nothing to do with where fuel prices currently sit in international markets.

You may blame his government for not subsidising or removing subsidy and also blame him for not defending the Naira to have 1$ at NGN200.

Fuel prices are transparently traded at international benchmarks in USD and your exchange rate determines the local equivalent price.

HacheNoire:
Simple question and they will write a paragraph to answer it.

Ask them which court of law convicted His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) of a crime and they will write another paragraph.

And every claimant seem to go blind and lose their memory that over $900,000 was returned to him as INSTRUCTED BY THE COURT after the forfeiture. Does the US Justice system give grant to criminals too ?

Facts are facts fan or not !

Our people are quick to forget that under the past regimes with defence of Naira, there was a thriving black market that made the rich and connected to get richer while the industries that needed FX didn’t get access. There was product ( gasoline and jet fuel) scarcity every quarter, NNPC is still owing importers since 2022/2023 for the under recovery and product imports. ASUU strikes could almost be predicted and likely guaranteed. Do with it what you may, this country is waxing strong, a little patience and constructive criticism of this current government will do us all a world of good.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating

CONFIRM 3 million, that’s the grand prize this year. Sharply record that song and upload to green indie make December set wella.

When yo finish making the music. Upload and compete in the Indie Star Search, Finale is live performance in Lagos 20th December 2025

Talented artistes don’t always get great exposure because competition odikwa so stiff. Talent alone is not enough. I believe African artistes can benefit from supportive homegrown platforms like green Indie. Gist is that they hold annual contests to showcase new talents from October to December. The Finale is a live event seen across the world

Don’t take my word for it, check it out yourself and maybe tell your neighbour too

It’s just heartbreaking the kind of claims these ones are peddling, how is installing Teams on your phone, a means of surveillance? Even in my own small business my staff are mandated to have teams to ensure security and ease of communication. One is even complaining about usb drive in 2025, harbinger of virus and means to steal corporate intel 😂😂

The Nigerian music industry is a thriving yet challenging space, especially for upcoming artists. With so much untapped talent across the country, indie artists often find themselves struggling to break through, caught in a web of uncertainty as they search for the right management or record label. For many, getting their music heard by the right people can feel like navigating a maze, filled with roadblocks and setbacks.
The traditional music scene, despite its success, hasn’t always been a haven for emerging artists. Record labels receive countless messages from hopeful musicians daily, making it difficult for labels to sift through the crowd and find the artists with real potential. This often leaves talented individuals stuck in limbo, without a platform to truly showcase their unique sound.
Over the last few years, however, times have changed. The digital revolution has offered independent artists a renewed sense of autonomy, allowing them to distribute their music without the heavy reliance on labels. Globally, independent artists generated nearly 30% of the music industry’s revenue in 2021, and Nigeria is no exception to this movement. Artists have realized that they don’t necessarily need to be signed to big record labels to gain recognition — they need visibility, support, and the right platform to amplify their voice.
Enter Green Indie, a revolutionary music streaming and virtual audition platform designed specifically for Nigeria’s upcoming artists. In a world where music is often dominated by established stars, Green Indie offers a fresh approach, providing indie artists a space to be discovered, nurtured, and supported. Think of it as the Instagram of music apps, a platform with the potential to become the biggest music streaming app in Nigeria. Green Indie isn’t just about uploading music — it’s about giving indie artists the spotlight they’ve long deserved.
