Anyone comfortable listening to a negative story about you isn't a friend
Proverbs 17:17A friend is always loyal,
and a brother is born to help in time of need.

Anyone who believes a negative story about you whether true or false was never a friend
Proverbs 18:24There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

True friends sacrifice even when you are failing and faulty
Jesus puts it this way
John 15:13 KJV
[13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Love is for the bad times not jolly times ,when you err ,fail ,falter ,experience losses,then you discover friends .
They secure not expose you.Friendship is protective never competitive .
1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
If you have never experienced the earlier mentioned not too good times ,you haven't discovered your real friends
Have you found your friends .Are you anyone's friend ?
