I came across the tweets below of a Peter Obi supporter. The tweets were before and after Peter Obi became a major candidate in the coming presidential election.

In the first tweet, she was seen advocating passionately that she’s not supporting Obi because he’s Igbo but because he’s competent. She even went ahead to claim she would have supported competent Yorubas like Osinbajo, Makinde and Akin Adesina if they were in the race.

So, a little dig into her past tweets before the campaign started actually revealed an entirely different personality. Some months ago, this Obi supporter was all over the place calling Osinbajo unprintable names and abusing the entire Yoruba and Fulani ethnic group. She even took a swipe at the late Obafemi Awolowo. What’s more shocking is that she’s doesn’t even believe in Nigeria.

In her words, “the only solution to Nigeria’s problem is division”. So I ask, what has changed for all these Biafran agitators who are now Peter Obi supporters? Is Peter Obi an IPOB project? Has he agreed to breakup the country once he becomes the president?

To Yorubas, Fulanis and other ethnic groups that were dragged by this IPOB girl in the past, I urge us to forgive and forget. However, we must be circumspect in choosing who to support for president. Those advocating for the breakup of our country shouldn’t be the ones telling us who to vote for as president. Enough said!!
