NYSC / Re: Post All Problems Relating To JAMB Regularization Here - Let's Treat Them by AEI0: 3:24pm On Oct 02, 2022
SamuelLoch:

JAMB Regularization has been discontinued for sets after 2017, I think.
So, what year did you register for the exams?

My own issue is, I did my regularization last year April, submitted the indemnity form around September and up till date, I haven't heard or gotten any admission from jamb. I have gone back and forth from school to Jamb office at my University state and the one where I base. They keep saying school hasn't recommended my name of which the school is saying that have.

I have to meet with the admission officer at my school and he recommended I do it again which I did but this time I had to make sure the admission officer process my name to jamb on their Cap. Nothing has come out of the two regularization till date. I checked my indemnity form status it says my transaction ID has not been used to apply. I'm so confused right now. What do you think I should do please?
I have already graduated, it's NYSC and jamb admission that's the problem now.

Hi Samuel!

Some of my ODL colleagues that did their regularization post 2017 got admitted by Jamb. Or perhaps I do not get what you mean by sets after 2017 got their regularization discontinued.

If you went through the University without any skill already that can be bringing in something no matter how little, you have not done yourself any good. It's tough out there but you can still make something out of life. My advice is to learn a skill that you love. ITF/NECA does offer free training now and then. Take advantage of it.

Thank you for your input. I'm taking courses on data science which are so far going well, also i'm a member of Data Science Nigeria and I attend their seminars. Well, I know it will take time to be proficient but I am committed to it.

There must be something I can engage my self with that can be earning me money even if it's little that's why I have come here to seek opinions. I don't want to be limited in the scope of my thinking.

Hi Nairalanders!

I'm a graduate of Bsc accounting awaiting my Statement of result. It's more than a year now and I have still not received it. The issue was with missing results, although they've been found and complete now but since the beginning of the strike, it has been delayed. To be very honest, It has been frustrating and depressing. Very recently, I have developed a keen interest in data science but my focus right now is on data analytics and I'm really going for it. Infact, i now find data science more interesting to me than Accounting but the challenging aspect of it for me right nowis finance so to solve this, i need a part time job that won't really take much of my time so I can commit to my data science. The family too is struggling and I'm the first born(pressure from left right and centre), everything is just overwhelming but I really have developed strong interest in this data field. My parents have been at home since the onset of this strike(5 months), they run a business on school campus so business self is on shut down right now. It pains my heart that I still have to be feeding off them, sourcing for support from them to further my studies in my current aspiration.
I'm very much opening minded to learning and hearing your advices because overthinking already won kill me.

I have this thought of doing Bolt/Uber for now but I don't have driver's license yet and a car to even use. Any idea on how I can go about it. Every opinions are welcomed, I really need different ideas right now.
