internationalman: About washing our first paycheck; you just reminded me of Nigeria about how me and my guys made it compulsory for anyone to wash any little progress made with drinks. That country is fun. Nothing beats living among your kinds. Here's is even more fun on it's own, but for someone who's lived first 3 decades of his life in Nigeria, nothing can ever take the Nigerianess in me away. Whenever I see a Nigerian at my place of work, the way we communicate with joy in pidgin English makes the American folks jealous and at the same time marvel. Some even show interest in trying to learn it. I must say I'm also lucky to have a lot of Nigerians at my workplace. They have helped me a lot..
I go send you appreciation card to wash the salary 😂😂😂 you really try for everyone here. Me nko? Don't bother, brothers! I am happy you are hitting the ground running. |

Taal17: Go and read the proclamation. The exemptions include dual citizens with a passport of a country not under the travel ban. Its clear. I responded to the OP question. He can travel to the US with his Canadian passport. He has dual citizenship and that's what he said. Dual. - Two separate passports not the same as Permanent Residence which is not citizenship. What they talk is not necessarily what they do. Mentioning Nigerian citizenship doesn't even cut it for the holder; rather the US can use it against one. |

CutieKing: Experts in the house, your take is needed here please.
Now that the USembassy has confirmed the travel ban on both the immigrant and non immigrant categories, What now becomes the fate of those already scheduled interviews in January and February of 2026 under the immigrant visa category?. Do you suggested they reschedule or still go ahead with the interview?. If they do go ahead, what are the likely outcome?. Please i have a family in this situation and they are very worried and confused about the next step to take. They already scheduled for medical appointment.
Please advise is urgently needed. They should write to the embassy. |

deelobe: Agree with you on that. Is the government that is affected? That is just hogwash. With the kind of stupendous money they make from Visa applications in Nigeria, they should have had a rethink and given us a soft landing. Nigerians should look elsewhere and save their monies. To get visa you spend almost two to three million not talk of buying the ticket just for vacation. They said don't bother to apply any more which means keep your money and you are still sad. Hold your own govt to account. |
