When the pressure is coming from INSIDE the house, disappearing is NOT escaping. It's just SMART!

"Marriage requires sacrifice."

But NEVER from the wife. The moment a marriage requires a sacrifice from the wife is the moment the marriage enters a COMA.

"Her respect dies the moment she realizes she has to carry what you keep dropping."



The man is EXPECTED to carry and NEVER drop.
A man is expected to INTERMINABLY shoulder the BURDEN of TWO people and their baggage.

And NEVER falter.

Because the moment he FALTERS for just a second, "her respect DIES!"

When the man SHOULDERS the burden, he's expected that he still LOVES and RESPECTS his wife.

But when the woman steps in to shoulder the burden for a time, it's UNDERSTANDABLE for her love and respect to DIE and be replaced with RESENTMENT and DISRESPECT?

What does MEN stand to gain in marriage?

They have to be STRONG, SELFLESS and RESPONSIBLE for marriage to work.

But their wives can be WEAK, SELFISH and IRRESPONSIBLE and the marriage should still work?

MADNESS!

If not that some Nigerians are docile, why should anyone even accept such idea. I see the jobless youths here almost every time claiming they enjoy 24hr uninterrupted power supply.

In my place, you are not even guaranteed of any fixed units. Today, you see 20 units for a thousand, tomorrow it has reduced to 17. In fact, at a time, it was 4 units to a thousand. Guess what, I don't even know the band. Today, the tell us we are in band A and tomorrow they say it is band C. Same house, same country.

We never had it this bad in the days of our darling PDP which these corrupt elements said wasn't good enough for the country.


Now that it affects the so called rich, they are even scrapping the whole arrangement. Shockingly, the miscreants here will quickly change tune. There is enough reason to heap curses on every APC elements for sure.

Back in the days, not attending church for just 1 sunday in a month makes one feel so guilty and incomplete but nowadays, one can stay months without attending church or any church program.
It is even getting more worst as one gets more learned and exposed.
Can I maintain my relationship with God without attending church on Sundays?

I think we both suffer the same problem. I think we should connect and see how we can share ideas on how to overcome this.

it goes to tell you that marriage is not a do or die affair.. whoever invented the vows, till death do us apart.. failed to stipulate the healthy conditions that must be met for the vow to take effect.. how can U say in sickness and in health? I once witnessed a similar scenario at a popular mall. The guy in charge of the shawarma section was telling a woman, “Ah, madam, you are so beautiful. I like your this and that...” Meanwhile, her husband was standing right behind us.

I was beside the woman, waiting to place my order. It felt kind of funny to me, and a lot of thoughts started running through my mind — especially because he was whispering it.

I got my order first and left. I don't know if the husband heard or reacted, but honestly, I felt it was kinda creepy.

People should learn to keep quiet sometimes, especially when a lady is with her man.
You may mean no harm, but the guy might see it as you trying to flirt with his woman. People think differently, and levels of maturity vary.

You compliment a woman through her man if the man is there. Sir you made a beautiful pick of a wife. Sir you got great taste for beauty. In that way you compliment the woman while acknowledging the man.. I have applied it several times and it worked fine.

I've made some previous posts about how my wife threatens me with leaving our marriage everytime we have small issues (I didn't post it with this account).
She always threaten to leave anytime we have misunderstandings, not even only misunderstandings, even when we are having normal conversations and someone refers to maybe a bad marriage experience, she always says if it's her she will leave. I've spoken to her about it several times, I have even spoken to her family about the issue but it keeps repeating itself.

She has this kind of mentality that she can leave the marriage at any time I do something to her and she repeats it every time, the last one was during an outing when we had a misunderstanding, even before hearing my own side of the story, she said she already tired of the marriage and wants to leave, so I told her to go if she wants. The next morning, she came to wake me up and told me she doesn't want to do again that she wants to leave, she said she'll call her people and I should call my people. I said fine.

I told my family about it, and they supported me because a woman can't threaten me with marriage after one child.

Another thing my wife does is that she constantly compares me to other men, telling people I don't provide for my family, I don't take care of her, to the extent her friends are telling her that if a man doesn't provide for his woman, then he's pushing her out to meet other men.

In regards to the issue of providing, when we met, things were going very well, it was just the two of us and I had money at the time, I took her on vacation, booked flights for her, bought her hairs, a new phone and all. But now we have a child, added responsibilities, and money isn't as it used to be before but one thing I never do is to starve my family.

Last year I made close to 20m but I didn't see the money, not because I'm an extravagant spender but because of family expenses, I can't even explained what happened to the money aside the fact that I bought a car.

I opened a business for her with almost 3 million, the business crumbled, she doesn't want to do anything, she stays home all day just pressing phone. If I don't have any money at all she can't support me, she calls me for everything, even to as little as salt in the house.

She started comparing our marriage to when she was single, that she used to wear the lastest clothes and buy the lastest hair, and now she's married she doesn't get those things forgetting those where the thing I used to do for her when there was enough money.


This whole thing has made me tired of the marriage and I don't feel like continuing it any more, I've told her to call her people since she doesn't want to continue the marriage so they can return the bride price. I just want to focus on my life

If these above are 70% true, I urge you to consider separation. Like a year to figure things out.
