Good day house I always do annual returns filing for my business name regularly for more than 10 years. However there is this particular agent that I do sometimes give the job but recently raised an issue clarifying that my annual returns payment will not be activated until I do some few things.
The recent one is where after I have made payment of N15000 annual returns filing to his account he responded that I still have to make another payment of N10000 for update of proprietors details and submit the company status report on date of business registration. He further notified that without that update the CAC portal will not activate the annual returns processing. He showed me a screenshot of the situation.
The update he said the CAC is asking for does not require any changes or alterations even if I wanted any. He said I will have to apply if I wanted any changes.
I want to ask if he is on the right because I have had no requirement to update the proprietor’s details anytime I enlist the services of other accredited agents for business name filling

My question, is it that the CAC portal will not proceed to execute a company or business name annual returns filing until the Proprietor’s details are updated in the portal after some years of registration and if it doesn’t. Does it mean company name and business name update of proprietor’s details will be done annually if ever we are to file for annual returns for business name.

I need a professional response to this to know if he is right. And to know if anyone has experienced this

Yes I was. I think the police gave the COO a call and harshly scolded her because she called me immediately to her office to now settle down to hear my side. When they found out that the manager was indeed holding my commission the office took action and I was paid immediately with apologies. Remaining balance was paid few days later.
I don’t think she was even aware that I was making sales or knowledgeable about my inflows at that time given the way she treated me harshly and the accountants have to make a report to her after that. It was like she was thinking of me as a pest to get rid of.

They found none but found receipts and commissions of many of all my accreditated sales and property listings. And the ones they deliberately refused to pay me with excuse including my chats with them.
They felt sorry and remorseful for their actions and advised me not to work for that company again after I bailed myself out of the station from my pocket
