One of the essence of Academical Education is to imbibe the ability to read and write. This is pretty much essential to improve communication between people.

Academical Education is also essential for the basic understanding of the philosophy, science, history, tradition, culture and trend of life.

However; Academical Education should not form the core foundational Education for Humanity - Spiritual Education should!!!

*ACADEMICAL EDUCATION*

Academical Education was firstly attested in the late 16th century belonging to the school of Plato.
To be Academically Educated means to belong to an academy or other higher institution of learning; also a scholarly society or organization.

Oxford Dictionary explains Academical Education as - Having little practical use or value, as by being overly detailed, unengaging, or theoretical: having no practical importance.

As a people, we have abandoned Agriculture which provides the Important and Basic Needs of Life for the Blind Pursuit of Money.

All Our Abundant Land Resources are lying unused and waste while millions of youth are busy seeking for limited job positions.

The result of this is the anxiety, devastation and depression faced by many youth in the country as the economy slides deep down through recession.

All of the societal challenges we face in Nigeria are results of Our Poor level of Spiritual Education which clogs our Sense of Spirituality.

This is the reason for the extreme poverty in the land which leads to the extreme crime rate in Nigeria.

Many of our jobless graduates and citizens engage in Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, Cyber Crimes, Children Trafficking, Bunkering; just to mention a few.

The Continuous Oil Spillage in the Niger Delta is a perfect example of the economical decay caused by the lack of love for ourselves. The Niger Delta is a riverine area in the Southern part of Nigeria; and the occupation of most people there is Fishing and Crop Plantation. Niger Delta is abundantly blessed with crude oil which serves as the Nation's main stream of international revenue. Unfortunately, the economy of Niger Delta is not only underdeveloped but the people are very much deprived of their fishing and farming activities as they suffer from crude oil spillage that pollutes their habitat, kills their crops and fishes making it an herculean task to live comfortably.

Over the long years, Billion of dollars are being generated as profits from this locality; yet the people of the society are deprived of their Fundamental Human Rights.

No State and National Leader with the in depth Understanding of Spirituality will be so inhumane to represents it's people in this cruel manner.

Religion is the tool that has been used to cripple the Spirituality of many Africans.

The result of this is a crippling economy. Take a look at the societal issues in Nigeria. Our people are very Religious but not Spiritual.

Despite Our Abundant Natural Resources; Our people are limited with their perception of believing that their Religious Prayers will do for them what they should Spiritually, Mentally and Physically do for themselves. So Sad - It really is. �

*The Effect of The Lack of Spiritual Education in Africa.*

By now; if you have been following through my articles, you must have been enlightened on the reason why a lot of Africans aren't Spiritual. Basically; this is because many of them lack the Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding of Spiritual Education. The root cause of this is the negative strong hold Religion has on Our People.
