Bro I am a typical Yoruba man, and all the Moslems in my extended family are against it, even most of my friends that are Moslems are against it. Because the North implement Sharia in their region does not mean others will implement it too. You can also go on X and see many Yoruba Moslems rejecting it. The Yoruba Moslems are not like the Northern Moslems, we value our peace, family and culture together with religion. We don't place religion above the others

It does makes sense as only Islam has a complete system of life! There's law and punishment embedded in Islam. What does Yoruba culture possess of such requisite laws? First and Foremost it is Shari'ah Panel not courts! Secondly, there are also law courts in the other part of the country where Shari'ah courts are established. No one is forcing Shari'ah on you but let those who wants to use it go for it.

The Nigeria law supersedes all other laws that why you keep amending it every year in the house!

And having a large amount of Christians and traditional religious worshippers does not diminish our right to exercise our rights!
Traditional religions have no prescribed laws and punishments! Christians too have nothing of such laws and punishment! So what will they fall on?

First, I believe you based in SW, so that I can know if you are really justifying your point. You said it is Sharia panel and not Sharia law. It is from the sharia panel that they will now extend it to Sharia law and when this happens, then they will now start saying it is the law of the state and not just for Moslems. If there is any issues among the Moslems brethren, they should settle it within the confinement of the mosque. Again, Yoruba value their culture more than Religion that is why you see that almost every Yoruba family have Christians, Moslems and Traditional worshippers.
Sharia law in the North was possible because Moslems have a higher percentage in the North but here in the West, all the religions have a higher percentage and trying to bring in Sharia law or panel is like trying to cause crises in the SW. In summary, Sharia law or panel is not allow in SW they can continue with it int he North but we don't need it in SW. Thank you

Again, we have different courts in Nigeria and the Law supercedes other laws so why bringing Sheria law I to Yoruba land and majority of them said they don't want it yet you want to force it on them. If those in the North accept it, fine, but you can't force it on those that rejected it. We have large numbers of Christians, and Traditional worshippers in Yoruba Land so why are u bringing in your own religion law when we have a Law in Nigeria that supercedes all other laws
