I never said it was 100% true that those in eastern Nigeria are the descendants of those in western Nigeria. It's only a possible situation because if you had common sense you would have realised that when there is migration towards a particular direction, the areas in straight line would very much likely be reached first before the areas outside the straight line. You claim to be smart and have a PhD but you understand probability.

So if according to your level of education it is by drawing line, then the line will meet Cross River first before the Eastern states, so do that means the Igbo's are descendants of Cross River people. Again, Plane coming from Kenya to Ghana might not necessarily pass through the Nigeria airspace. Google plane route from Kenya to Ghana and see for yourself. You are the person getting things wrong and mixed up. If early humans migrated from east Africa then it likely means humans will reach today's eastern Nigeria before reaching today's western Nigeria. Why is difficult for you to understand this?

And even between West Africa and East Africa we have Central Africa. So do you know the number of countries that is between West Africa and East Africa. Lagos and Abuja will never be the same with other States in Nigeria no matter how what. The two States are the melting pot of diversity and inter-ethnic relationship compared to other States of the country.

That doesn't mean the two states you mentioned above don't have their own indigenous language and they should forget about their indigenous languages because there are people from other states who are residing there. So they still have the right to teach their indigenous languages in their schools. I should in Warri, and during my Junior secondary days, we were taught Itsekiri language. So whether you are from Uhrobo, Ijaw, Esan, Yoruba, Igbo, Kwale, Isolo, etc. as far as you are in that school, you will be taught the Itsekiri language. Some other schools too are offering Uhrobo, some Ijaw, some Isolo, depending on the location of the school.

Hope this one's will not start to misuse their power.

I created a post titled: "Are Yorubas descendants of Igbos". The post explained how scientific research suggested that early humans migrated from east Africa and spread across the world. Due to that scientific discovery I mentioned it could be possible that Africans living towards the west which included Yorubas might be descendants of Africans living towards the east which included Igbos. The post was created with good intention to make Yorubas and Igbos regard themselves as brothers and quit the pointless tribal fights on Nairaland. To my surprise the post has been deleted and I am really wondering why it was deleted. I am actually surprised it was deleted because some posters create inciting posts on Nairaland aimed at generating tribal fights and directing hate towards a particular tribe, and the moderator will quickly move them to the front page. I don't really understand this forum.

With this ur rubbish post, why won't they delete it. Is like you nor do Geography for ur secondary school abi. Now let me enlightened you a little, the whole of Nigeria is located in West Africa, we also have Central Africa that is close to West Africa, then we have East Africa and some countries found in East Africa are Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, etc. So now you see that your analogy is totally wrong. So because the Igbo's are from the South Eastern part of Nigeria doesn't make them come from East Africa.

Again, if you claim that because they are from Eastern Africa and the early human migrated from the East, then does that means those in US, Canada, Brazil, Egypt, Spain, China, India, etc migrated from the Igbo's. So your thread is just to cause confusion or probably you want to see the Igbo's and the Yoruba's having unnecessary arguments under your thread.
